Linkin Park has released the Australia and New Zealand tour posters for March 2026, selling out the 10 copies of each show for $300 (exclusive to the LPU) instantly. The $100-125 versions will be for sale online on the new Australia Tour as well as at each individual show. A number of these have sold out already as well.

The poster for Auckland, designed by Alex Parnassus, has generated some discussion in the Linkin Park community about his use of AI. The primary image on the poster is AI and his artist bio from Linkin Park's website says, "Parnassus has always been drawn to cutting-edge technology and the most advanced creative tools available. Today, artificial intelligence plays a central role in his process—not as a shortcut, but as an extension of his vision. By integrating AI with his background in design and material culture, he constructs hyper-real, metallic, and sculptural worlds that blur the boundaries between object, memory, and future."

The below image is from his Instagram account:

Linkin Park has used AI a bit in the past, specifically for Meteora|20 for the "Lost" music video, the generative videos for each track (audio) posted on YouTube, and the Live In Texas upscale.

What are your thoughts?

300$ for a poster by an artist who uses AI because he can't "art" properly without it. That is so stupid and embarrasing, I love it 🤣.

What a rip off. Feel sorry for everyone who didn't know about this, and for everyone who can't / doesn't want to see how fucked up this is.

Disappointed they aren't using local artists for the posters. Plus the price and rarity of the signed ones was a little excessive. Also what's the point of these From Zero nights if the band aren't going to be there?

I don't wanna hear any regular fan using the "THE BAND DOESN'T KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT WHAT THEY SELL OR PROMOTE" excuse ever again. For the umpteenth time: they're not some kind of indie act, they're one of the biggest bands in the planet. They're 95-98% aware of what the general public sees.

Just because you "embrace" new technology doesn't make it good or admirable. It's lazy as fuck in this case. But people without any artistic sense can find something in this, so good for them, I guess. 300$ 😂, it's so stupid

Nobody said it was good or admirable. Its a fact, like it or not, that they do. You the expert in artistic sense? Art is in the eyes of the people that appreciates it. Its just not your cup of tea, no need to insult others

I really don't understand why people think they can decide what is art and what is not. Whether people like it or not some real artists are using AI. If you don't like it then it's 100% ok if you do not support it. But to just label it as "not art" and the people involved as "not real artists" really feels like dogmatic thinking, far from the freedom of arts.

Look, I get it, shiny nice pictures and stuff. But art is about expression of a mind and soul. It's not "hey AI tool, I have this picture of a cat here, please make it into a marvelous tiger in the style of xy. Also, make it mysterious.", then charge $300 and call it a day. If any of you can't see the difference in humanly created expression and THAT, then there is not much else to say. You can use AI to create an addition to your art, as in visuals for music you created. But you are NOT an ARTIST (generally speaking) if you just use some cheap AI prompts to create something RESEMBLING original art. So, please, stop being butt hurt about that. There is no art in that, just imitation.

(Yes, I know that the process in creating these posters was more complex (hopefully), but saying you are an artist and then also mentioning that you used AI to actually get your artistic expression across is super lame. And let's not forget that a band provides its name for that which includes REAL artists who are also extremely talented.)

And again, it just shows that you two have never put serious energy into artistic expression.

This is one of the most ignorant takes I have read this year, but its only february I guess.

Art can be expressed in many ways, and sometimes people don't have the skill the give life to the vision they have, or, like in this case, use a tool to complement their skill to bring their vision to life. Art has many shapes, and can be in basically anything, not only music or paintings.

You look fairly interested in the topic, I suggest you study the matter, it will open your eyes on it.

Oh and by the way, I get paid for my art, so maybe, again, think twice before trying to belittle people on the internet.

Just to finish my point, I understand people that think that AI art can be morally wrong or whatever, but that has happened with every single revolution in human history, its a matter of time until it gets accepted

It is the most bewildering thing that you get to your conclusion in this situation. Wow.

Thank you for clarifying that there is more to art than music or paintings, who would've thought... Don't know why you felt the need to point that out, but ok.

Again, everyone should do what they want and how they want it. But if you use AI only, don't call yourself an artist (of whatever field you use it in) because you are not. And especially don't take money for that.
AI is a fun tool to mess around with, and it helps people without means or talent to get stuff done which they otherwise could not do. But the results will always remain lifeless, without any original form of human creation

AI is (obviously...) already getting accepted, which makes it even more sad since it is super hard for people to earn a living by doing arts (which you might know a thing or two about).

And THAT is exactly why all this conversation, talking about these posters, dont make that much sense. Its an artist that uses AI to complement his skill. Just another form of art.

I'm not an artist, you are right. I probably can't say that I ever put any real effort in pursuing any artistic endeavor. But I'm the only one who can judge that, it's rude for you to assume that about me. I have a brain and I don't have an agenda or obvious prejudice about the topic. Police and art are antithetical, I know that for sure

Sucks that they erased M&G from existence and got replaced by expensive ugly posters (not all.of them but a lot of them are ugly as f and dont represent the band)

The M&Gs probably got taken away because of ignorant "fans" in comment sections... last thing you'd want is one of those showing up and causing a scene. I don't really see an issue with the posters "not representing the band" as the exclusive PR2008 posters didn't either.

I personally have a love-hate relationship with AI in art. Hate the generative stuff with musicians vocals (such as Chester AI covers - disrespectful AF to both Chaz & Em) BUT if it's used as a tool to help advance the human artist's vision instead of replacing the human art outright than that's a different story in my mind.

They are just fan events, some with exclusive merch and giveaways and exclusive items (like the From Zero LP logo from the deluxe edition photoshoot). Good way to hang with other fans. Have been to a few and they are not bad.
