I don't have a proper list, it does include proshot and aud sources. I don't want to promose myself, Im just saying we shouldn't wait many old school things in a next future.

I know, I hope I didn't put you in a difficult position. I just asked since it came up and I would love to see that content.

The only chance for another box set will be in 2027, MTM25 or MTM30 doesn't make sense. Why couldn't MTM20 promote a single with Chester, the old LP world and the new one are connected, which we could already see when Firendly Fire and Lost Emily sang at shows. I believe we will definitely get MTM and ATS box sets, the others probably not.

They can easily move the MTM20 celebration to November/December 2027, just like they moved the M20 release by a few months. I guess they won't be doing many concerts at the very end of the year.

There are some really good points in this thread.

The difference is no one knew the band was coming back in 2023 besides the band themselves. Colin was at the Meteora 20 event and no one even knew anything about him. In fact Colin, unlike Emily, remained a total secret until they walked on stage at the launch show lol

It's an interesting situation to be in, with one of the biggest rock singers ever passing away in your band and then you return with someone of the opposite gender and due to the hiatus + Lost being so big, etc, the band is now playing larger shows than they ever have played.

It seems fine to us as fans to just release some Chester MTM songs, but what if one of them goes super viral and goes #1 like Lost did? No one expected Lost to blow up to conquer the world - it was a MASSIVE track for them. At that point it becomes a sticky situation marketing-wise, image-wise for the band, and it may even confuse some of your newer casual fans.

Still am on the train of something like a fan event in LA (or insert city here) to celebrate the album - and no one is hurt by putting SOME material out: Webster Hall's "Making of MTM" unreleased footage on YouTube for a world watch party + put a live show out on LP.com/store for fans on digital and vinyl (Berlin 2008, literally anything people do not have - not a DSP-released show). And a merch drop. Bam, everyone wins, you don't confuse anyone, you satisfy your hardcore fans who are very desperate for more material despite making up just a small portion of the overall fanbase, and you earn money. Thinking of some vinyl release like Nottingham 2003's awesome package in the Meteora 20 box set. There are a ton of shows from 2007-2008 that are not released that they could put out. Even KROQ Acoustic Christmas 2007 audio. Or do a video premiere on YouTube of the whole thing for fans. Don't think the fanbase is asking for anything unrealistic like this album's "Fighting Myself" or something.

Would also be nice to have all of the MTM songs together on streaming - Blackbirds, No Roads Left, Across the Line (these 2 are already there), What We Don't Know, Chance of Rain, Pretend to Be, and whatever else.

If casual fans don't know who the previous lead singer was, lets confuse them and teach them

I think the band's focus now is on the new era, tours, maybe new material. I was thinking that the band used to release albums every 2-3 years, so maybe it will coincide, I don't know.

But, as I previously said, I really have hope that they will release something for MTM at least (I would hope for ATS and others but not likely so) at some point. It will definitely be a hit and the label will certainly want that. We'll just have to wait and see if we will be pleasantly surprised, it certainly isn't their main concern now. Happy New Year to all!

I was fully convinced about having a new box set in 2027, since the band would be fully stablished again. But damn, you're right, another hit like Lost could do more harm than good. It's a tricky situation for sure. So I'm on board with many of you. Anything we can grab: a streaming, a CD/DVD combo we will be grateful for.

Yes...I would expect many more hits from back then to be there, actually.

You are right about Lost and Friendly Fire, and there will definitely be more hits from the other albums, too. I just hope they will feel well enough at some point to release them.

It's hard to think there will be no any future album anniversaries, especially once you get used to the formula that each album should have one.

There are tons of MTM stuff that could be used for 20 anniversary release and even twice of that that could be re-released as video quality upgrades. Well, if it won't happen, shame.

Many people still requesting for a word/dedicated song/a specific song for celebration of Chester. I would easily replace that over any album 20 anniversary release and continue that once for few years. That would be the best celebration you can done for Chester.

Some people took it as "Lost is a mediocre song" but my take was and is that Lost was a huge success due to nostagia and right timing. 20+ years has passed since the nu-metal peak in the mainstream world and now it's "cool" again to reivindicate that genre. 10 years ago that wasn't possible. Second, we millenians we've reached out that age (around 30s) where we start to idealize that music of our youth. I'm a hardcore fan, like many of you, but many of my peers just listened the first two records (three if we count Reanimation) and gave up during MTM because, basically as a teenagers we didn't want anything to do with our "childish music". Which takes me to my third point: The song has this classic LP vibe, so many of those who ignored the band beyond 2007 now they feel connected the band again.  That third point didn't happened with She Couldn't, it wasn't your classic LP song, as simple as that. Not even the pandemic helped She Couldn't to have more visibility.

Based on this, we have two roads ahead of us:

If the new song it's a What I've Done part 2, as Lost was similar to Numb, then yeah, you'll probably have another huge hit, since WID, BIO and New Divide are basically the songs post-2004 that kept the interest of the mainstream crowd.

On the other hand, if we're talking about a Blackbirds, In Pieces, No Roads Left esque song, then you're for a big disappointment for the big crowds, and could happen like with She Couldn't, people could care less.

I see your view. Though Friendly Fire was a success, too. However, it is true, many people just want Hybrid Theory and Meteora vibe. It's unfair to the band, because they are more than that. I don't mean it disrespectfully, they are top-tier albums of course, it's just that LP has always been a genre of their own, to me at least. They just reinvented themselves constantly without the need to comply to certain sounds, norms, boundaries or something. And just expressed themselves at various periods. To be honest, that is what I loved about them! I think MTM was the album that established that. And, to me, each album was a unique experience.

Weren't "Leave out all the rest" and "Shadow of the day" great songs (they hit really hard now but that is another topic)? Or "The little things you give away"? Of course, we have "What I've done", "Bleed it out", "Given up", too 🙂!

I guess what I am trying to say is that it would be a shame if fans only like whatever reminds them of Hybrid Theory and Meteora (again, peak albums!).

Let's just wait and see if something will be released, when and what that will be 🙂
