LPLStaff Posted October 8, 2025 Posted October 8, 2025 In early 2006, Fort Minor performed for MTV with an online series they were doing called MTV Overdrive. Unfortunately while video rips of this four song performance were widespread at the time, the files were protected with DRM and issues with the MTV server no longer hosting the verification needed to view the files caused them to not be playable. Outside of an audio rip we thankfully had of the performance, we were pretty confident video files were lost in time. It would be rare for the community to outright lose a performance, but for years and after a lot of searching (with the LPTimes team, enlisting Nine Inch Nails Live, and more), we were faced with the reality that this performance really could be lost. What a surprise to us when longtime community member radq posted his video rip of this performance out of nowhere this past week. So now the story has a great ending and the performance has been saved after all! Thank you big time to radq for finding his version of the video... perhaps the only known working copy in the fanbase left. Phew! Enjoy it! Setlist: 01. Remember The Name 02. Believe Me 03. Petrified 04. High Road As a reminder for newer fans, Fort Minor's live band included Mike, then Ryu, Tak, and DJ Cheapshot from Styles of Beyond, as well as Black Violin on strings and three backing vocalists. Beatdown (RIP) was on drums. The Sessions@AOL performance page lists the touring band for Fort Minor (Eric Bobo was not at this performance, but joined the band often - his drum parts are actually sampled on "Believe Me" in this performance). I have to check it all now. Fort Minor folder is over 12GB. 847GB total. But I don't think is something very rare it's just a lot of stuff collected since 2005 (mostly by trading). Quote

LPLStaff Posted December 1, 2025 Author Posted December 1, 2025 In an absolutely insane twist, the band's camp has gotten us a date for this. November 22, 2005. You can't even believe it. lol. The damn date of the album release! How badass is that? It's in New York City, the day after 7th Avenue Drop, at the Viacom Studios. Something that was a mystery for TWENTY YEARS is now solved. That's why the community, the band, the band's team, the fans, etc all being active and working fluidly/positively together is so important. Now something that could have been a mystery forever is figured out. Just great! Forever appreciative of the LP team and band who have collectively added so much to the site over the years we can't even guess at the number of contributions. Definitely a LOT. https://linkinpedia.com/wiki/Live:20051122 Quote
