Following teasers over the last week or so online, Linkin Park has posted "Up From the Bottom" on social media, which is likely indicating it is the title of the new song they will be releasing.

As far as what this song is a part of, or really IS, we are not sure. The band posted a photo of the six of them in the studio today with the (likely) song title and so far, that's really all we have after the teasers.

Why is this post written like we don’t know that it’s the name of the song and haven’t listened to the leak all morning?

Well, first of all not all people know about anything from the leak and there are people who won't listen to the song if it's not officially released.

Also, LPLive is one of biggest LP community and being two steps in forward than what the bands do (like adding to the news something more than the band revealed) is not a good idea.

Any idea if it's a song from the FZ sessions reworked (like Blackbirds) or brand new?

I'd assume it's from the From Zero sessions and intentionally not placed on the track list to be released as a single post-album drop.

Yeah this sounds about right. Very intentional and strategic marketing. I can’t wait to hear this banger premier in the car radio

That’s what I think this song was one of the demos they talked about that didn’t make the album early in the sessions, but they revisited, finished, and are now releasing as a bonus single rather than a completely new song for a future album.

Because it's better to be sure about something these days; we previously in the early days of the website post a ton of rumors, leaks, etc and as a result there was a good bit of misinformation around. It isn't solely about that, though. The band does not ASK us to refrain from doing that, but out of respect we choose to do so because as LPLive has grown since 2006, they (the band themselves, especially Mike, and their management team and label) have been nothing but extremely kind to us when they honestly don't have to have any relationship with us at all. They have helped us with information throughout different points in their career and we have a great relationship with their team, especially Adam, Lorenzo, etc. We just don't see any reason we need to upset anyone by blasting leaks. For the same reasons, that is why we refrained from ever mentioning Emily publicly before the reveal, etc. We have lots of conversations internally about what we should say or not say and we try to be as professional (we are just a fan site, of course) as we can with it all.

As we've aged, we've preferred to let the band roll their own campaigns out and we report on them as they happen. Of course people have heard the song with the leak, but we still truly don't know what it is for or really anything else about it. Great track. Let's see what happens from here.

I knew you were teasing with information we didn't have. Faiplay and good job. You kept us hyped without ever revealing anything (aside from the fact that something's coming (pun kinda intended))

They were even thanked on the Meteors boxset, that's the level of respect they have. They keep going this way 30 more years

Totally agree with what other people here said, LPLIVE is family at this point: I have an account since 2017 (wow 8 years, I signed up when "Heavy" came out) but I am a lurker since like 2012 and I LOVE this site, some of the founders are like close to being band members in terms pof knowledege of LP. Thank you for your amazing work
