I don't identity items, what are they?

The Big black box at the left of THP vinyl

The black CD at the left of the Twilight OST

The DVD case at the right of the Frat Party DVD

Actually, it's the Living Things white vinyl, not THP.

The big black box is the A Thousand Suns Deluxe Edition, and it's signed by all the original members. It includes an art book, a poster, two white vinyl records, a CD, and a DVD.

The black CD is the HTEP. The cover of the album is signed and framed.
The DVD case contains a non-official DVD. It's from a NY show.

You're absolutely right.

I dont think that DJ's are searching for instrumentals and acapellas on Spotify.

Maybe, but I don't see why they wouldn't. DJs will grab material from literally anywhere they can think of (and always have).

But regardless, most digital LP releases, including acapellas and instrumentas, are often also available for purchase and download from platforms like Qobuz, HDTracks, and possibly even Amazon and Apple Music last I checked, for those DJs looking for an official download. They're also usually available on the band's official YouTube channel, which (rightly or wrongly) I'm sure is generally the most popular source for hobbyist remixers to grab many of their instrumentals, acapellas and stems.

Listening right now, really cool how Overflow’s intro is pretty much all vocal textures.
really appreciate all the vocal work put in on the record.

At The Emptiness Machine you can hear the "vocals" from the choir intro at 01:33.

Pretty interesting.

Yeah I can't believe I didn't hear this before, very cool

also didn't hear the layers in cut the bridge, there's really a ton there

also I have to admit that Mike is going way harder in Casualty than I thought, the effects are helping but there's some real grit coming from his performance too, pretty awesome stuff

Acapella release was unexpected. It's cool that they put it out though. Hoping for an instrumental album, that'd be epic.

The "From Zero (Intro) [A Capella]" has just slightly different mastering, other than that it's the same like in the standard album.

Are they really different mastering? I got the Acapella file from Qobuz & bit-compared it to my copy from the Expanded Edition album in foobar2000 and it was reported identical. Audacity invert trick confirmed that. The only thing I see different is a different ISRC, that's all.

You know I thought there is a very tiny little difference on vocals, but I compared it again and not sure anymore. I would say you're right.

I love these a capella versions just to appreciate how good Mike still sounds after all of these years.

CTB barely feels acapella. It's like my brain fills in the missing parts and there is so much vocals that I barely notice.

I really like the harmony on the chorus of HITC. Also, GTG... Incredible song. Incredible melodies. Incredible performances by Mike and Emily.

Knee-jerk, initial impressions are that a lot of the tracks have a very particular reverb sound with long tails and space echo-type delays, a lot of layering, and using vocal parts for texture. Two-Faced stands out and sounds like a Meteora-era throwback not just because of the structure and the guitar work, but because of the vocal processing that drops a lot of what the rest of the tracks have in common. Mike's vocal doubling and parts where that's bit-crunched and much drier comparatively to the rest of the album.

It's a novelty listen, but it's fun to hear what's going on under the hood, so to speak. Also appreciate that manipulated vocals, like the scratching on Overflow, were left in. Intro on that track sounds a bit like a Crystallizer, maybe? That's why we need some kind of Mix With the Masters-type deep dive.

I hate the inconsistency of the instrumental and acapella versions of the albums.

Some albums have none other have instrumentals, some both and then this only has acappella.

They should fix everything, atleast for the main albums.

Hybrid Theory to ATS all had instrumental albums. but nothing official afaik
and i think FZ will get its instrumental album released too, its not a far fetch since The Emptiness Machine had its instrumental on the CD single lol
