2024.11.16 - São Paulo, Brazil (Allianz Parque - Night Two)

Brazil, you never fail to impress. And we're certain that you guys will keep on giving, because it's time for night two of Linkin Park live at Allianz Parque in São Paulo, Brazil today, November 16, 2024!

Linkin Park's first show at Allianz Parque was a day of celebration for fans all over the world. November 15, 2024 also happened to be From Zero release day, making the show the album release show! And the band knew exactly how to celebrate: give the fans a live debut on livestream for both the fans in the stadium and home to go crazy over! That's right, the band debuted 'Two Faced' during Act 1 of the set, which was streamed live from their YouTube channel. Joe scratched to some an ominous, slowed-down vocal before the song kicked in, before launching straight into the song, both Mike and Emily bringing their best energy to the stage. Mike encouraged fans to start some pits during the extended bridge, and they certainly followed suit. The stream ended after a hearty performance of 'The Emptiness Machine,' but not before flashing an announcement that the show will be filmed and broadcast in theaters worldwide next year!

Luckily, the Brazilian TV channel Multishow broadcast the rest of the show for Brazilian viewers, giving us more insight to what happened for the rest of the show. Nothing too surprising happened for the rest of the show as the band worked their way through the setlist, but that didn't make any moment of the show any less special. In fact, it was one of the best shows yet, with the crowd itself influencing parts of the show. Mike's solo mashup of 'When They Come For Me' and 'Remember The Name' ended with Mike joining the crowd in a sing-a-long of the 'When They Come For Me' chorus, in which he remarked afterwards, "I have a confession to make: Dave and I have always wished that we had some kind of song that was good enough to be a football chant." The band burst straight into a thrilling performance of 'Casualty' afterwards. Another memorable moment was a particularly beautiful performance of 'My December,' leaving most of the crowd (and us at home) in tears.

Check out the full livestream recording of Linkin Park's first night in São Paulo, Brazil on November 15, 2024! It's possible this is the same version of the show that'll be shown in theaters next year.

The band was clearly having a lot of fun during the show, clear after 'Numb' when Mike joked around with Joe: "Look man, I'm just having fun up here! I can't help if my hands want to play extra notes... I'm that guy sometimes, I can't help it. The best part is that this is like livestreamed, too. There are people watching. It's not just these guys. Oh, that's fun! On this next one, we want to hear every voice out here. If you're watching at home you can sing into your fucking computer? You can sing into your phone and record it and show us online later." During 'Lost In The Echo' (which was played during the encore at this show), Emily picked up a pair of Brazilian flags, draping one over Mike and one over her mic stand. And finally, during Mike's first verse of 'Bleed It Out,' Phoenix stole his guitar picks and then tried offering it back to Mike just to annoy him. Mike picked up a friendship bracelet from the ground during the second verse. Mike then rapped 'A Place For My Head' verse one over the extended bridge while starting straight down Mr. Hahn's camera. One of the best parts of this era has been how much the band themselves seem to be freer than ever and are having so much fun onstage again! The show's conclusion was marked by an epic fireworks show above the stadium as they took their final bows and said goodbye.

For this show, it's hard to say what could happen! With Live In Texas, the DVD was composed of shots and recordings from the two shows they played in Texas on the Summer Sanitarium tour, so it's possible that this show will also be recorded for the live film if they plan on releasing a differently cut version. If such is the case, it's possible they play the exact same setlist again: Set A2 with 'Castle Of Glass' interludes and 'Lost In The Echo' in the rotation spot. If not, Set B remains the only set to get a run in South America so far, with 'Keys To The Kingdom' as a rotation. The last Set B was the debut of 'All For Nothing' in Arlington, Texas and had 'Keys To The Kingdom' dropped for time, so this may be the first performance of the proper set. Maybe they'll sub in a different The Hunting Party song again - but that could be wishful thinking.

Who's heading to the show? If you want to read up on the band's live history in Brazil, check out the previous pre-show post for night one (it seems like it would be a bit superfluous to give the same history lecture two posts in a row). Weatherman Rogue Soul here to report pretty much the same wet and humid conditions as yesterday, though it'll be a bit warmer. No official livestream for this show sadly, but we'll still have you covered with updates on social media (Twitter/X, Instagram, and Facebook), so be sure to follow us! This is the band's last show of the month, but they have one more for the year before resting up before a very busy 2025: the Soundstorm Festival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on December 12, 2024. The band have dropped some new merch along with From Zero on their official store, so check that out, too. If you've listened to the album, be sure to leave your reviews in our discussion thread! Tickets for Linkin Park's 2025 From Zero World Tour go on sale next week, so be sure to check the dates near you to see if you can make it when the band hits your country!

Will be interesting to see if they’re wearing the same clothes as yesterday.

As for set changes, if any, I’d wager that Points is swapped in for Lying From You. Feels like an easy rotation to make. Think they’ve done it before with those two.

If I'd had to guess I think they'll only change the encore rotating spot, maybe they'll do KTTK again?

I wouldn't expect major shake-ups until the 2025 tour. But considering what they have played and what they could play, it seems the setlist could use a few more rotating spots, especially if they add more new songs.

I agree I wouldn't expect too many changes until next year. They've played what, close to 35? songs already. Next year they'll incorporate probably all FZ songs and then be able to rotate the other popular ones while leaving the hits locked in.

@RogueSoul thanks for the hundredth time but these summaries are so damn good each night. Appreciate you putting so much time into them.

Am I wrong or they did wear the same clothes as night 1? So a possibility of the mixture of two shows for theatrical release? If so, I'm all for it. They can cover tiny messes of night 1 with night 2 footage or audio.

Based on photos, yes definitely wore the same clothes, so very likely theatrical release will be a combination of both shows. If I had to guess, given that the full concert from yesterday was already released in full on Brazilian TV, and is doing the rounds. I would imagine that night 1 becomes the "template" for the theatrical release, with night 2 used for pick-up shots, small vocal corrections, etc. That said, I can perhaps "Points of Authority", "Friendly Fire" and/or "A Place for My Head" added in as an extra bonus track(s) too (those were the only differences in the set list, that I can see).

I can't really see them removing any of the songs they did yesterday, simply because the concert video is already in the wild. Only potential problem I can see from an editing/continuity perspective for the this is that the hood on Colin's hoodie was up and down all night, which is kind of noticeable. While you can do a little bit of cutting back and forth between the different nights, one or the other of them is likely to dominate the edit. And honestly, while the audio was a mess, for a live concert, they did a really good job in the editing truck, and I think you could release that version of it on DVD/Blu Ray with only minimal pickup shots needed. Audio definitely needs a better mix, but video production was pretty great, in my opinion.

Of course, with all that said the theatrical release teased things like 4D and ultra wide panoramic presentations, so very possibly that version will have to be a totally different cut, and all of this will be irrelevant.
