From Zero World Tour Live in Brazil Film coming to theaters in 2025

Recommended Posts

Just announced during Linkin Park's livestream in São Paulo, Linkin Park will be releasing a live film of their From Zero release show in São Paulo to theaters in 2025!

This will be the band's first proper Live Film since 2008's Road To Revolution. Along the way, other live recordings like Berlin 2012 for Living Things + and One More Light Live (audio release) have come out, but nothing really to this degree has been released by the band in a long time. The Living Things + show was shown in theaters in the United States in June 2012, the same month the show occurred.

This release will likely be a different edit to the Multishow stream, or at least a polished up version of it. The Living Things + showing was also livestreamed, and the theatrical version was just about the same as the livestream version. It's hard to say what the precedent is at the moment, but as we get more information on this, we'll bring it to you!

Positive outcomes: Filming might take place during those two nights, so we could have extra songs

A new DVD

Negative outcomes: Even if they just film the first night I don't see them showing a 2 hour "film" they probably cut down some songs and we might have a Berlin 2012 situation

Worth remembering, they already showed the full show on Multi Show (a cable channel on Brazilian TV). A full recording of this show already exists.

Barring one or two odd camera cuts, the live edit is almost DVD ready. The audio will for sure need to be mixed. Levels were kind of all over the place, and the mix was weird — turntables/recorded bits were really forward in the mix, some of the audio right off the board was pretty harsh sounding at times, etc. — and there was some sync issues but that’s par for the course for music broadcast live.
However, since the full show is already out there (in a sub-optimal format), and will do the rounds before then I really can’t imagine them editing it down or cutting anything significant out. The worst I can see is we get the show, as it was broadcast, in 4K, and with a better audio mix. Probably with some pick up shots and angles from both tonight, and the second night. Maybe even an extra song (if they change up the set for night 2).
But I really don’t expect less than what we already got.

stop asking for dvds, do you watch all your content in 480i? lol fuck thatt

sadly, most of us still. plus, production wise, DVD is cheaper than BluRay. Till this day. I wonder how long until new physical format will take over BluRay.

depends on which country. i think in US, DVD still a thing. yes, BluRay is good as stand alone thing, not bundle pack with CD like CD/DVD package. so, LP might wanna go that way. Warner surely loves it. CD/DVD, DVD, CD/BluRay formats.

I hope this broadcast does justice to the show. I saw many people complaining about the mixing, so that’s something that needs to improve.

I just got back from the show, and I can say the crowd was euphoric and singing like never before. This was my ninth Linkin Park show, and there’s never been anything like it!

Watch for if they’re wearing the same clothes for night 2. Could indicate using footage from both?

Thought about that as well. Not exactly but almost like when they filmed two shows for Live in Texas.

But this is a band who also released cassette tapes. They like to cater to all formats, it would be hypocritical of them to say that DVD is no longer relevant. 4K blu ray is what collectors are mainly into now so if DVD is old then Blu ray's are too.

Who cares about what's new or old All I care is quality.

Talking about what is coming to theaters in 2025, it’s unlikely to be just the live show. Some producers were next to the people on LPU Pit 1 & 2, and one of them told us that LP is producing a documentary about this new chapter (or a transition from the previous chapter to this new one). My wife and me were chosen to say some words about how LP have changed our lives, what we thought about Emily on vocals, and our favorite song on From Zero.

Honestly I love having the physical releases. Even for unreleased things, I like to have shows recorded on physical media. I'm a millennial collector.

Honestamente, eu adoro ter os lançamentos físicos. Mesmo para coisas não lançadas, eu gosto de ter shows gravados em mídia física. Eu sou um colecionador millennial.

I would also like a Blu-ray of this film.
For those who collect these items, they are essential.
As are the Anniversary Box Sets

DVD, Blue ray, whatever, you're missing my point.

The thing is, what's your problem if people want to consume music in a  different way than you do?

You need to be more open minded, the world doesn't spin around you.

IMO if they are going through the trouble of putting it into theaters, the quality is going to be amazing. I bet they'd do at least a Bluray physical release because they've always been fans of physical media. Release it and either offer to buy in the store or bundle it with some other live/premium package item or something.
