I manage to rip part of the stream, sorry it's not complete everyone, I tried watching the show and ripping it at the same time which caused some errors.

 

But the file should have the songs from Two Faced onwards, I'm uploading it right now.

I could record from the end of burn it down onwards, but the audio is out of sync, so I would have to edit it in order to fix it. fingers crossed someone else could pull it off as well

My direct rip of the stream didn’t seem to work out. I’m trying to see if I can save. However, with a subscription, you can rewind live TV, so worst case, even if I can’t find another way to rip the audio and video direct, I can dig out my HDMI capture card, and record it that way, if another rip doesn’t get archived before then.

I managed to rip the full Stream lossless via VLC Media Player. My only question is about the legality of doing this, can someone help me out here?

The mix is currently exaggerated. The end of Bleed it Out sounds like an earthquake.

Should be fine. Maybe it gets taken down when the film comes out if it's the same exact feed but I sort of doubt it will be. Should be fine to upload to YouTube.

Audio may just be bad! Certainly, no recording is going to be "lossless". My recording didn't work at all sadly, and seems to be corrupted beyond repair, but even watching it live, VLC only reported that the stream was only 128kbps which is very lossy.

And watching live on my TV via the app, audio was all over the place. Balancing and mix was not great, and levels were really inconsistent, and the audio right off the board was very harsh sometimes. I'm very glad I watched it, but some of the issues with the current upload feel like issues that were also present live, so there is no guarantee the version this other user has will be that much better, unfortunately. Still worth uploading, because the current version does look like a screen recording, which is definitely going to lose even more quality, but truthfully, if you're hoping for a DVD quality recording, this isn't it.

My impressions of the livestream and the gig.

 

I'm still not quite sure what to make of it.....Am I the only one here who was really disappointed by yesterday's livestream? First of all, there were the sound problems. Emily's and Mike's voices sounded terrible. You could hardly hear the audience - as if they had fallen asleep. Somehow there seemed to be no connection between the band and the audience...

 I was really looking forward to Two Faced, but yesterday's live performance was miles away from the performance in the recently released video. I don't know that from LP.

Nevertheless, the band worked hard on the performance, but even between the members there was no sign of the spirit of Bogota. Just look at Mr. Johann's face when he held a bra he got from Emily in his hands.

Hopefully things will get better. You only improve if you make mistakes, recognize them and then learn from them.

Video quality might be a little better than the YT recordings but audio quality is simply bad, the bitrate is 128 kbps. I didn't watch it again so I can't say if it's out of sync yet.

I guess the method used by VLC and by me was the same just looking at the audio bitrate. Do you think these problems happened only in the Globoplay livestream? I'm wondering if the Multishow TV broadcast could have better audio quality.

This is definitely the best quality that I've seen so far. Thank you for uploading the MP4 file (instead of using YouTube, which adds its own compression).

I thought the stream was amazing tbh. On my connection the audio was better than these YT rips and the image quality was great. The mix was not perfect, but it was powerful and the guitars were LOUD (For once, my pet-peeve with LP mixes in general is that the guitars are too low. Loud guitars support the vocals a ton if mixed right). A proper mix for the theatrical version will do it good, and it could be a legendary live-recording for them.

 

Yeah, the audience feel could be more represented, but I'm sure it will be in the final version, it's just a question of mixing them in a bit more in both footage and audio. Check Joe Hahn's instagram stories, the audience was on fire, but if you're used to concert-live streams, you know that they might not really capture this from a dry soundboard mix

Emily's performance was way better than the From Zero-livestream (which in general didn't do much good for the perception of her as a live singer). This show, with improved mixing, can do a lot to alter this perception and actually represent how much LP have been killing the live game (best shows since the early 00's imo).

It's a combination of several sources. It includes part of the official YT Livestream, MetalNacional's incomplete rip from GloboPlay/MultiShow, and very small snippets of crowd audio from Papercut and Faint uploaded by rfsk_bass (https://www.youtube.com/@rfsk_bass). It also uses a very small snippet of the studio recording of Resolution Intro A.

What I've done:

• Adjusted and levelled audio as well as I can, on a per-track basis. I can't recover audio that was lost due to stream compression, or bad levelling, but it should be a little more consistent throughout.
• Synced audio.
• Cropped to a native 21:9 resolution -- no hard-coded black bars at the top and bottom of the screen.
• Cut out and replaced cutaway segments where the Brazilian host Titi Müller speaks over the concert.

Removing the talking segments was probably the decision I went back and forth on most. First, I know some people will want to archive it as broadcast (but we have those already) or will disagree for other reasons, but I think this gives us as close to a "DVD release" experience as we're going to get this video of the theatrical release. However, full transparency, It required use of a small segment of the studio recording of Resolution Intro A, overlayed on top of authentic crowd audio from rfsk_bass, which is low in the mix. 

 

I chose this over just using the rfsk_bass audio, as it gives a much more seamless and consistent result, and I don't feel this compromises the integrity of the show, since even in the stadium, they are just playing the same prerecorded audio at this point.

 

It also results in the loss of about 30 seconds of footage between the end of act 4 and the encore where the camera cut to her full frame. I've also used some looped crowd audio from elsewhere in the broadcast, and one short recycled aerial shot during this segment, and during the band leaving after the encore, but I think this captures the feel of being there, even if it's not 100% as live.

What's still to do?

No guarantees at this point but, if I get the chance, I would still like to:

• Incorporate any audio or video from berd's rip, if it is better. Seems like the stream may have dynamically changed up the bitrate of the audio and video on different people's rips at different times, so this may help improve the audio further.
• Do a proper mastering of the audio, not just levelling, if at all possible, potentially even adding some crowd audio from other fan uploads low in the mix to try and bring things to life a little more.
• Remove the Ao Vivo text in the top left corner, and the small remnants of the purple "track title" lower third graphic that comes up from time to time along the bottom. I tried a quick ai "object removal" in DaVinci resolve, but the clip is way too long, the tracking got messy, and the results were more distracting than just leaving it. I'd have to do a more manual mask and removal, or chop it up into smaller clips for the ai object removal to work well, which was a bigger job than I had time for. 
• Do a shot by shot upscale and clean up using Topaz Video AI -- but again, more time than I had. 
• Export in ProRes and do the H.265 conversion in Handbrake, as Davinci Resolve's H.265 encoder is notoriously bad, and I'm already working with pretty compressed footage to begin with. Re-encoding already compressed footage always results in a loss of quality. It's fine, but I'm pretty sure HandBrake would have given a smaller file, and better quality. But I didn't have enough space to finish the ProRes export on my laptop, and my video editing desktop is in my basement, which I can't get to due to a foot injury.

No promises on if, or when those things happen. But if they do, I can share here.
