LPLStaff Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 If you were wanting to hear more Linkin Park instrumentals (or close to them) easily, check out the new Apple Music karaoke mode which was recently released. As CNet writes, "Apple Music Sing is a new karaoke mode that lets subscribers sing along to their favorite music with real-time lyrics and adjustable vocals. Sing is a part of the Apple Music streaming service, and it has debuted alongside 50 dedicated playlists. Here's what you need to know. Firstly, the feature is only available to users who are running iOS 16.2 on iPad or iPhone, and who also have the latest version of the Apple Music app. To access the karaoke feature, you first need to open a song you want to hear, whether it's from the dedicated Sing playlists or any song in your catalog. For the record, every song we've tried so far is compatible, as long as it has real-time lyrics -- even the ones in Dolby Atmos. Once your song is loaded, click on the speech bubble in the bottom-right corner of the play screen to bring up the real-time lyrics. At the top of the screen you'll see a volume slider with a microphone on it -- sliding this up and down allows you to adjust the level of the vocals. And that's it." It's worth us taking a look at this to see if any Linkin Park songs have instrumentals that previously were unavailable in any form. Quote
Stranger Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 i've tried this features few days ago. it's amazing features but you can still hear the vocal/acapella on the background (which is kinda subtle and Apple Music won't allow us to mute the vocal volume til zero). i'm enjoying it so far. listened to XERO & Hybrid Theory EP instrumentals, damn good. even the live tracks also have these features. LPMaskMan Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 Is this really plays the instrumental or just cancels out the mid part of the stereo? Quote
Rasputin 93 Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 so this is AI filtered. sad, I was hoping for official instrumentals from an official source instead of dodgy watermarked promo discs that are rarely shared in full nor are they in true stereo or lossless. Quote
martinez Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 I was hoping for Blackbirds official instrumental, Pts.Of.Athrty and the rest from the Reanimation. Shame. Quote
RentEznor Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 Yeah sounds about right. Not a fan of these. Just release the actual official instrumentals. Quote
JJJ Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 They are not perfect, but it is pretty good for some of the tracks. Also the live instrumentals are very interesting to hear. Pretty cool feature! Quote
