Hmmm, thank you guys for the responses. I guess I was misinformed. Smaller bands must get no time at if that's the case since they have to fit a lot of acts in.

 

That's why at festivals like Warped Tour here in the U.S., a lot of bands only get to play like 7 songs or so, because there are so many bands playing in one day.

True. It's why LP's surprise set at Warped was so short. Doesn't matter how big you are.

 

I went to a festival in Texas this past year called "So What Music Festival" (previously South by So What) and there were 3 stages each day. Most bands got 30 minutes, maybe slightly longer until the last 6 "headliners" each day got an hour each.

 

Recently saw Disturbed at a "festival" (one of those Radio day shows) and they I believe they only played 70 minutes. So I just assumed a lot of festivals were like this. I assume assumed this because LP setlists at festivals have been historically shorter than their tour setlists.
