hahninator
Today, Linkin Park takes The Hunting Party Tour back to Germany for their second show in Berlin on the album's touring cycle, after their headlining show there last fall, which was filmed by Samsung for a 4K release. Sadly, the show has still not been released! Berlin is the only city on the tour to host both a Linkin Park show and a Fort Minor show. It is also one of only two cities to be played twice on The Hunting Part's world tour, along with Moscow. Last night, Mike performed at Kesselhaus, the venue Linkin Park kicked off the world tour for Minutes To Midnight at in 2007. He added a fan-requested song to the setlist, High Voltage! This is Linkin Park's tenth show in Berlin, dating back to 2001. Our preshow post for the 2014 show covers all of the prior shows in Berlin. In March 2001, they first played Berlin, on their second-ever visit to Germany. Five shows on that Deftones tour of Europe were in Germany - sounds familiar, right? The day after September 11th, 2001, Linkin Park headlined Berlin for the first time and Chester played a very rare acoustic performance of The Morning After. After a canceled June 2003 show due to Chester's injury, Linkin Park returned in September 2003 for an arena show in Berlin to a huge crowd. As mentioned above, the first show for Minutes To Midnight was a club show in Berlin, which saw a great debut of No More Sorrow (Given Up too, but it was a rough version of it). 2008 featured arguably the best show in Berlin yet, with a headlining Projekt Revolution show at the legendary Waldbühne venue. Since then, Linkin Park has used Berlin as a sort of "headquarters" on their trips to Europe, staying in the city and flying to venues in Europe for each show. A lot of writing for A Thousand Suns was done in Berlin in 2008. A studio in Berlin is credited in the album booklet and you can see evidence of this even in the latest LP Underground album with the track titles. Prague also got some studio treatment. For A Thousand Suns's world tour, the band kicked it all off in Berlin, debuting their "V" stage design for the first time ever for a full show. An intimate club show in Berlin was held in 2012 after the Rock am Ring and Rock im Park shows and was eventually shown in theaters for the Living Things album release. Finally, again, there was the arena show last fall. Berlin is one of Linkin Park's favorite cities on the planet and today's show will be packed as always. After this show, the band headlines Rock im Sektor in Düsseldorf on the 5th and Rock in Roma in Italy on the 6th before the tour ends. Fort Minor plays at Rock im Sektor and has the show in London on the 8th. The Linkin Park tour dates can be found here, Fort Minor's here. FLAME-XIII
anyway, Joe doesn't enjoy the show as the rest of the band. indeed this tour is cursed, Quote Link to comment https://lplive.net/forums/topic/11934-20150903-berlin-germany-stadion-an-der-alten-f%C3%B6rsterei/#findComment-257711 Share on other sites

hahninator
There is no way Grafen had 40,000. Stuttgart had like 32,000 and Grafen was much smaller. Coizu
I don't think that this can be right. The Splash Festival (which takes places at the same place) only sells like 20.000-25.000 tickets and the whole space seems to be packed when it's sold out. I don't know where they would put another 15k people at. hahninator
Look at the crowd pics and you can easily tell no more than 20,000 are there. sckofelng
Let's get back to facts of this show! This was the first concert ever at that stadium, similar to Jämsä, I believe that should be added to the other notes yet.
