Linkin Park to play Brazil in October

Linkin Park will be performing in Brasilia, Brazil on October 19, 2014.

 

José Norberto Flesch, a Brazilian journalist, tweeted:

 

Linkin Park toca em Brasilia no dia 19 de outubro.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION: Linkin Park will play in Brasilia on 19 October.

 

Does this mean an entire South American tour will soon follow? Felipeintheend reported that two or three more shows in Brazil are soon to follow, and there's a strong rumor that Linkin Park will also return to Argentina.

 

Anyone from LPL planning on going? Who's excited?

 

7/14/14 EDIT: After the Argentina date, Flesch confirms that Linkin Park will perform with Panic! At The Disco at Circuito Banco do Brasil in Brasilia on the 19th. The festival announcement of all the shows will be on July 22nd. Linkin Park will likely play a few of these festival shows in Brazil (it's a multi-city festival like Soundwave) and a few headline shows in Brazil.

I think the timing will work out for only like 5-6 shows total. I guess Brazil and Argentina, maybe a debut in Colombia.

There is a big chance for the Brasilia one get cancelled due sales if it will be a headline show. Same as what happened with Curitina back to 2012.

I don't think Curitiba was because of a small crowd. Canberra 2010 had a small crowd. I think that was a legit production issue.

 

I don't think LP will have any problems bringing good crowds in Brazil.

IDK if will be announce the headline dates, maybe the band takes the "opportunity", maybe not.

I'd imagine they'd announce it when they announce the festival dates.
