Until It's Gone - Official Live Video From Milan By Fans

Recommended Posts

For Linkin Park's big return to Italy (and we say that because over 35,000 people will be attending this show!), the band is asking fans to film Until It's Gone for an official live video. LPItaly has the full, original press release here in Italian, but the English version can be viewed below.

If you were following the A Thousand Suns World Tour in 2011, you'll remember that the band did this in Chicago and St. Paul on the North American leg of the tour for Waiting For The End. Luckily for us, the Until It's Gone video will probably be in color.

Record "Until It’s Gone" this Tuesday at Alfa Romeo City Sound Festival - Milan
"Linkin Park are putting together a special live video of ‘Until It’s
Gone’ and want to include YOUR VIDEOS of the band performing it on
Tuesday June 10th at Alfa Romeo City Sound Festival in Milan, Italy.
Charge up your phones and get ready for an explosive show!
Everyone who uploads a video of the full song filmed in landscape (no
vertical videos please!) will be entered into a draw to win a signed
CD of The Hunting Party + Linkin Park t-shirt. Make sure you upload
your video to FanFootage by 2300 CET on Friday June 13th to be entered
into the draw.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. During the show on June 10th, use your camera or phone to record a
video of Linkin Park performing “Until It’s Gone”. Film the entire
song if possible. If you are near the front then try to hold a steady
shot of a member of the band. If you are further back in the crowd,
you can film yourself, your friends and other fans around you as well
as the band. Make sure you hold your phone or camera sideways
(landscape) when you are filming, we won’t be able to use any vertical
(portrait) videos!
2. After the show, upload your video directly from your phone using
the FanFootage iPhone or Android apps. You can also upload your video
file from a computer at the link below:
We will be using the best bits from all the uploaded fan videos to
create a special live music video from the Milan show. We will post
the final edited video online later this month. This is your chance to
be a part of our video crew for one night so make sure you take part
and don’t forget to upload your video to FanFootage!"
Who will be attending?

For everyone who is attending, we're also organizing a Flashmob during the show for Until It's Gone (the video-tutorial here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmtLjjycTB4, you can also find it on the LPU board).

Who's excited now? :)

I really like this idea, I hope you guys have enough people to watch the video before the day of the show. keep spreading the word out.

I really love the idea, it's a great way to involve the people, i just hope the flashmob not be compromised considering that a lot of people will be recording the song. Go LP Italy, my best wishes for this idea, can't wait to see it.

Also, it's a contradiction considering the words of the band against the people recording shows in place of jumping and stuff.

But who cares, i'm the kind of fan that loves watch the shows not jumping, no problem to me :P

Amazing idea, hope that there will be enough people to actually let this action be visible :) I recommend you to buy more glow sticks each and tell the plan to random people who will be attending the show. I'm so sad that I can't be a part of this :( But I wish you success ;)

I didn't think that the Waiting For The End live video was pulled off as well as it could have been so fingers crossed some people take some high quality footage at this show. I also thought that adding the Twitter handles / names was a bit excessive. It's nice to give credit, but I think that can be done in the About tab. It detracts from the video a bit.
Good luck Milan, and do us proud.
