I haven't seen a thread like this in a whole, and I always think its fun to see people's thoughts, especially with the amount of full song demos we have from it.

My new one I just created a playlist of on my iPod:

1. Announcement Service Public

2. Given Up

3. Leave Out All the Rest

4. Bleed it Out

5. Across the Line

6. QWERTY

7. What I've Done

8. What We Don't Know

9. Valentina's Day

10. Blackbirds

11. In Between

12. In Pieces

13. Pale

14. The Little Things Give You Away

Bonus Track:

15. Not Alone

Pale seems like an odd inclusion but I've always thought either Pale or ASP could start the cd but then thought, why not both? Plus Pale is long for an intro. And very other album had that instrumental track towards then end, so it may seem weird but I thought it could work.

How would you guys re-write Minutes to Midnight or would you keep it the same?

  • Pretend To Be
  • Valentine's Day

  • No More Sorrow
  • The Little Things Give You Away

You skipped a track. lol

I left them out intentionally. Given Up would have a short 5 or 10 second intro, cutting out the need for Wake. The album would still flow as the band intended, to have each song kind of counter act each other in how different each song is from the last. I replaced In Between with No Roads Left because I feel like it is a better song and it is the only song out of the final 4 tracks that is 'heavier'. I took Shadow Of The Day off because the band originally decided to not include it on the album but once they found out the right arrangement, they included it. It's a great song but I like 10 song albums.

5. Across The Line

6. Shadow Of The Day

8. Hands Held High

9. Behind Your Lies (QWERTY)

10. No More Sorrow

11. In Pieces

13. The Little Things Give You Away

^ That's how they should have done it. Drop Valentines and keep the energy flowing and another song with Mike rapping but still drastically changing their style from what they used to be.

i would replace ''In Between'' with ''Valentine's Day'' '

I just really don't like Valentine's day and In Between was like their first real indy type song and also the first song Mike sang on in studio so had to keep it.

Also, are you the same Qwerty95k on youtube? If so I have been watching your videos for years and love the work you put into your channel.

Let me give this a shot.

MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT

01. Wake

02. Given Up

03. Leave Out All The Rest

04. Bleed It Out

05. No More Sorrow

06. Blackbirds

07. What I've Done

08. Hands Held High

09. Shadow Of The Day

10. Qwerty

11. Valentine's Day

12. In Between

13. In Pieces

14. The Little Things Give You Away

Still a little jarring with ballads and heavy songs back to back but I added a some more rap to the album. Mike sounded great in all of the Minutes songs and demos.
