    - Chester joined The Doors 40th Anniversary celebration to perform a set of their songs with the surviving members of the band - Ray Manzarek & Robbie Krieger, as well as former Guns 'N Roses guitarist Slash and members of the band Satellite Party - Perry Farrell (vocals), Nuno Bettencourt (guitar), Carl Restivo (bass) and Kevin Figueiredo (drums).

    - Even though the band's original drummer John Densmore participated in celebration hosting Jim Morrison's poetry reading in the bookstore called Book Soap before the show and signing music memorabilia for fans during the band's show at Whisky, he refused to perform, estranged from his former bandmates after a lawsuit over use of the group's name. Chester and Sattelite Party also participated in the poetry reading in Book Soap. The bookstore is situated just across the street from Whisky A Go Go, so after the event was finished, the party proceeded to Whisky to do the show.

    - According to show attendee, the band did an impromptu acoustic jam in the dressing room, with everyone, including Chester, singing the songs by The Doors: "THAT was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to witness, and one I will NEVER forget for the rest of my life". Shirley Halperin of RollingStone.com also reported: "Before taking the stage, the guys — along with a dozen friends and family (including LINKIN PARK's Mike Shinoda, AUDIOSLAVE's Tom Morello and PUDDLE OF MUDD's Wes Scantlin) — staged a last-minute rehearsal/jam session in an upstairs dressing room. With Bennington taking the lead on "Light My Fire", Farrell guiding the sing-along through "L.A. Woman" and Slash ripping straight into THE ROLLING STONES' "Sympathy for the Devil" (on acoustic guitar no less), passersby — and even the city fire marshals who came to break up the hallway cluster-fuck — stood with mouths agape in awe". Chester likely contributed to all of the songs during the session, but we can't verify this.

    - After 'Break On Through', Slash and Chester left the stage while Perry sang 'Touch Me'. Slash went home, and Chester came out to do the rest of the set. There were a few conflicting reports as to whether Chester performed with Perry during 'LA Woman' or not.

    Other Notes:

    - The show was sold out.

    - Actor Val Kilmer, who played The Doors singer Jim Morrison in the 1991 movie "The Doors", reportedly rehearsed 'Break On Through' with the band earlier in the day to do a surprise appearance, but stormed out after learning that he would have to share the microphone with Bennington and Farrell.

    - Mike Shinoda was in the audience.

    - Two short videos shot from backstage exist for the first two songs and are on YouTube. There's also another video that features parts of the first two songs, but there is no recording of the last four songs.

    - As a surprise appearance, Chester came out during Z-Trip's set to perform their song 'Walking Dead' that was released on Z-Trip's album "Shifting Gears" just a few weeks before the performance.

    - Rapper Busdriver came out to perform another song from the album called 'Take Two Copies'.

    Other Notes:

    - This is the only known time that 'Walking Dead' has been performed live with Chester. It was scheduled to be played at Club Tattoo's 2006 show, but the show was shut down in the middle of Z-Trip's set due to the show going too late, before 'Walking Dead' could be played.

    - A low quality video of the song was exclusively hosted on LPFuse, given to them by a loyal fan of the site.

    - Chester jammed 'Jane Says' by Jane's Addiction and 'The Judge' by Twenty One Pilots both solo, and also jammed both songs with Marcos Curiel (P.O.D.) and Ed Majcina (LP staff). Both bands were two of Chester's favorites. In May 2001, Chester performed 'Jane Says' several times solo during Linkin Park sets.

    Other Notes:

    - Linkin Park was in town to do promo for One More Light on May 16th, so the night before on the 15th, Chester stopped by the D'Angelico Guitar Showroom. He had used a guitar of theirs in the One More Light tour rehearsals that was posted by D'Angelico and proceeded to continue using the guitar on tour.

    - After the appearance at the showroom, Chester and the others went to Emilio's Ballato with members of Papa Roach (in town for a show the next night), The Damned Things, Static Summer and other bands for dinner.

    - In July 2017, D'Angelico posted, "We are beyond shocked and sad to hear about the passing of one of our newest and dearest friends, Chester Bennington. Everyone at D'Angelico wishes him, his family, and his friends peace and offer our deepest condolences. It was an honor to work with you, Chester."

    - Clips of 'Jane Says' and 'The Judge' with Marcos Curiel and Ed Majic as well as a solo performance of 'The Judge' from Chester were uploaded by Rene Mata to Instagram following Chester's death.

    - Chester joined The Hellcat Saints for his second time in 2016, this time performing two songs by The Rolling Stones - 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' and 'Paint It, Black'. This was the first known time that Chester performed any of the songs.

    - 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' was accompanied by a popular Los Angeles-based choir named "Angel City Chorale".

    Other Notes:

    - The performance was part of the GameStop Expo's presentation of a videogame called "Mafia III". The bands line-up for it included Dave Kushner (Velvet Revolver), Dave Navarro (Jane's Addiction, Camp Freddy, Royal Machines), Joey Castillo (Queens of the Stone Age, Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts), Scott Shriner (Weezer) and Matt Rohde.

    - The band and the choir rehearsed for the show in a location called Studio Instrument Rentals (SIR) in Los Angeles on an unspecified date. Before the actual performance at GameStop Expo the band did a quick backstage warm-up acoustic rehearsal with Chester reading the lyrics on his phone. The band also did a full on stage soundcheck of 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' with the choir. It is possible the band also soundchecked 'Paint It, Black' as well, but there's no available recording of it.

    - This was the second of four Camp Freddy's Xmas residency shows in Roxy presented by Indie 103.1.

    - Chester came out to perform 'Mountain Song', 'Ace Of Spades', 'Whole Lotta Love' and 'Paradise City' with the band.

    - The other guests from the night included: Slash, Billy Duffy, Franky Perez, Steve Jones, Mark McGrath, Darling Stilettos and Steve Stevens.

    Other Notes:

    - This was the first and only time that Chester performed Motörhead's 'Ace Of Spades' with the band.

    - Dave Navarro talking about this show: "Later we were joined by Slash and Chester Bennington for 'Whole Lotta Love' and 'Paradise City', which were the ultimate finale. Chester also did an incredible version of 'Mountain Song' with the core band. Of all the people who I have heard sing that song, Chester is second best, after Perry [Farrell], of course. Chester obviously respects the song and really does it justice in his delivery and clear intentions to stay true to the original version. He also tore up 'Ace of Spades'."

    - This show marks the third time that Chester performed a Stone Temple Pilots song without the rest of the band since his Grey Daze days, with the first time being his Dell World 2012.12.11 appearance with Camp Freddy ('Sex Type Thing') and the second time - his 2016.06.14 "Let It Die" party appearance with The Hellcat Saints ('Down').

    - 'Whole Lotta Love' was the last song on the printed setlist and 'Paradise City' was added at the last minute by the band, after 'Whole Lotta Love'.

    Other Notes:

    - Royal Machines is the newer incarnation of Camp Freddy. Camp Freddy were disbanded and reformed as Royal Machines around April, 2014. Consisting of the same musicians (Dave Navarro, Mark McGrath, Billy Morrison, Chris Chaney and others), the only difference between the bands is its title and the ultimate exclusion of Matt Sorum. This was Chester's first appearance with Royal Machines after being a steady guest with Camp Freddy for about ten years prior.

    - This was a private event held on the same night as the Republican National Convention. On July 14th, Royal Machines announced,

    "Time to clear the air:

Yes- we are playing in Cleveland, Ohio on July 21 at a charity event for Boulder Crest Retreat for Military & Veteran Wellness. I believe this is the 3rd of 4th time that we have had the opportunity to be a part of raising funds for such a great facility.

This is not a political event and it is not a part of the RNC. In fact, we'll probably be onstage when the nominee is speaking.

    Don't believe the hype".

    - Big thanks to Cyndi Vanderhorst Roberts for the photos!

    - Both Mike and Chester joined Camp Freddy for three songs and Chester sang 'Sex Type Thing' and 'Paradise City' as well.

    - Other guests to join Camp Freddy during the show included Mark McGrath, Steve Stevens, Sully Erna, David Draiman, Fred Durst and Perry Farrell.

    Debut(s):

    - This is the first time that Camp Freddy has covered 'One Step Closer'. It is also the first time that Chester has sung covers of 'Walk This Way', 'Fight For Your Right' and 'Sex Type Thing'. It is possible that he actually performed 'Sex Type Thing' with Grey Daze, since it's known that the band were playing STP covers from time to time, but there are no evidences of them ever playing this particular song.

    - Full setlist coming soon.

    - This show marks the fourth time that Chester performed a Stone Temple Pilots song without the rest of the band since his Grey Daze days, with the first time being his Dell World 2012.12.11 appearance with Camp Freddy ('Sex Type Thing'), the second time - his 2016.06.14 "Let It Die" party appearance with The Hellcat Saints ('Down') and the third time - his other appearance with Royal Machines on 2016.07.21 ('Vasoline').

    Debut(s):

    - This was a private event to celebrate the 100th episode of a reality competition television series television show called InkMaster airing on Spike. Dave Navarro is the show's host and one of the judges through all of its eight seasons.

This was Chester's second appearance with Royal Machines after being a steady guest with Camp Freddy for about ten years prior.

    - Chester came out to perform 'Whole Lotta Love', 'Highway To Hell' and 'Mountain Song' with the band.

    - This was the second Chester's appearance with Camp Freddy and the very first time that he performed 'Mountain Song' with them. Shortly after performance, the description of the show on Camp Freddy's website stated that his performance of it was 'amazing': "A private party down in Costa Mesa, OC. Camp Freddy played for an hour to a small, invited audience and highlights included Chester Bennington's amazing version of Mountain Song, Steve Stevens and Mark McGrath on Ted Nugent's Cat Scratch Fever, and Poison guitarist CC Deville in his first Camp Freddy appearance, playing Nuthin But A Good Time, and ACDC's Highway To Hell".

    - This was the first time that Chester performed with Dave Navarro. In the interview dedicated to their Black Tooth Bash appearance in 2007, Dave Navarro also recalls this show: "Before the show, Navarro told Spinner he's become a true fan of Bennington since the two played together at a Camp Freddy show. "He's a fucking incredible vocalist. He's the real deal," Navarro says. "I performed with Chester and saw what a true talent he is. I went home that night and downloaded off iTunes because I wanted to hear his voice. Frankly, it was close to the same feeling I had when Steven Tyler joined us -- where you're just like, 'Holy shit, this guy is unbelievable".

    - The majority of the guests from the night came out to sing 'I Wanna Be Your Dog' by Iggy & The Stooges as the last song for the set, but it is unknown if Chester was present as well.

    Other Notes:

    - Private event.

    - The only known recordings of Chester to ever surface from this show are too different cellphone clips of him performing 'Highway To Hell'.

    - Chester headlined the event performing six cover songs with friends. His backing band included Elias Andra (former Julien-K/Dead By Sunrise drummer), Steve Stevens (guitarist for Billy Idol), Billy Morrison (guitarist for Billy Idol and Camp Freddy) and Robbie Merrill (bassist for Godsmack). This was the only time this lineup has joined him live.

    - This was the first time that Chester has ever performed 'My Generation', 'Like A Rolling Stone', 'Friday I'm In Love' and 'Helter Skelter' in public.

    Other Notes:

    - According to Chester, he wanted Camp Freddy to play, but a few of the guys couldn’t make it, so he put this one-time-only group together for the event. He also said: “I wanted to do something really fun [...] And I wanted to bring a bunch of guys who are really good at what they do and enthusiastic. I actually play a lot with Billy Morrison. We’re in a band called Camp Freddy together. It’s a bunch of rock stars who get together and hang out and have a good time playing covers of other people’s music. So that’s how I got to know Billy.”

    - Chester did a private rehearsal for this show on the same day in Casa Grande, AZ. Some of the guys weren't in town yet, so he rehearsed the songs with Robbie Merrill, Bruce Menchen and Darren Bradford in an unidentified place. A short video of the band rehearsing 'Friday I'm In Love' exists and is on YouTube.

    - PhoenixNewTimes reports: "On October 27, at the Montelucia Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, The Cardon Children’s Medical Center hosted their third annual Stars of the Season Gala Fundraiser. The event raised over a quarter of a million dollars for the Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery program. The sold out event had over 600 guests, and were hosted by special guest, Ted Stryker, from Los Angeles radio station KROQ. Linkin Park frontman, Chester Bennington also hosted the event with a live rock performance covering songs from The Who, The Beatles, The Cure, and Oasis. Supporting Chester were fellow friends and performers from Camp Freddy, Billy Morrison (The Cult), Steve Stevens (Billy Idol), Elias Andra (Dead by Sunrise) and Robbie Merrill (GodSmack). Also in attendance were NFL players Larry Fitzgerald and NFL Hall of Famer, Steve Young".
