  1. Small update on Papercuts - the label already delivered the hi-res versions for all tracks and reveal the quality for all those:

    Numb/Encore - 24-bit/96.0kHz

    QWERTY - 24-bit/96.0kHz

    New Divide - 24-bit/96.0kHz

Just a reminder that all 3 will be available in hi-res quality for the first time.

  2. Here are official lyrics of FF, taken from the music video version with subtitles which was released by Warner on March 5. There are some mistakes on Linkinpedia that needs to be corrected.

    Spoiler

Tell me the words I've forgotten
    What we were fighting for
    Starig right into the darkness
    Through an empty open door

Can't put back what's been broken
    Can't change the moment
    We went too far

We're pullin' apart for no reason
We're pullin' a trigger in a useless war
And if we come back and go into the black (black)
    What are we fighting for?
    What are we fighting for?

I was supposed to protect you
    No matter what's to come
But somehow forgot when they told me
"We hurt the ones we love"

Can't put back what's been broken
    Can't change the moment
    We went too far

We're pullin' apart for no reason
We're pullin' a trigger in a useless war
And if we come back and go into the black
    What are we fighting for?
    What are we fighting

    It's just friendly fire, fire
    Fire, fire

We're strangers in between the darkness
    Diving underneath
I'll find you out on the horizon
    We'll never be enemies

Can't put back what's been broken
    Can't change the moment
    We went too far

We're pullin' apart for no reason
We're pullin' a trigger in a useless war
And if we come back and go into the black
    What are we fighting for?
    What are we fighting

    It's just friendly fire, fire
    Fire, fire
    Fire, fire
    Fire, fire

  3. Update on Mike's discography - created new section "Playlists" to which I added "Mikeshinoda.com Exclusives" because this collection of songs on Mike's website more matches as being a playlist just like some on Spotify with some custom cover artworks and you can add or remove stuff from it which you can't really do the same on the album that's registered under a barcode and already out.

What about Mike Shinoda's Post Traumatic orange vinyl that was rumoured few months ago?

One was cancelled, the other one was postponed to June.

The RSD vinyls will be available worldwide in various stores including this polish store.

Is it actually said the Deluxe CD holds all the original 2002-2003 mastering?

I will say that again but differently: in the M20 3CDs deluxe version, the CD1 with Meteora album and the 2002 mix of Lost wasn't remixed or remastered.

Because from what I heard the songs were remastered with the release. Everything in Lost Demos was, so if no word on it, the original Meteora album and most else, at least studio tracks on Meteora20 probably were too. I don’t think LP has ever given their stuff “remastered” labels on re-issued remastered songs and things very often get remastered on a re-release.

Re-mastering is when something was mastered before.

All tracks from the "Lost Demos" (including the 2022 mix of Lost) were mastered for the first time in the year of 2022. They were not mastered before. Is that a satisfying answer?

I don’t actually think it’s the mix Andy did but actually rather the mastering in the deluxe CD Lost is the reason it sounds the way it does. Maybe they did it like that on purpose to make it stand out a little more as it is labeled “2002 mix”, or give it a more “demo” feel, or some other reason idk but it’s a possibility the actual mix itself could sound cleaner than the one on the Meteora20 CD. But we’ll never know that for sure, unless ITF they include it on a Meteora re-release again, and it actually sounds a little better.

No, Mike said the 2002 mix was also mastered in the same time when they mixed/mastered the album in 2002/2003. All 14 songs in the deluxe CD were mastered in 2002/2003. The 2022 version with different mix was mastered by the same person as 2002 mix. If not the different mix there will be very hard to tell the differences.

  7. On reddit there are many question about what version of Qwerty will be here on Papercuts, you can point the link to this post on reddit to anyone who have that question. I already confirmed that there will be no any changes on Qwerty but, since there are two versions of it I will just point out which version will be on Papercuts and the answer is the 2008 version. We can called it like that because there was only one release with it which came in 2008 which was "Songs From The underground" CD released worlwide outside the LPU fanclub. Here are the differences between the LPU 6.0 version and 2008 version:

    LPU 6.0

    - the length is 3:21

    - at the beginning it contains transition from 'Announcement Service Public'

    2008 version

    - length is 3:23

    - no transition from 'Announcement Service Public'

    - plus one and half seconds of silence at the end
