  1. The Navy Blue HT Shirts are slightly less rare than the white one. I'd say probably $50 for the Navy and $60-$70 for the White one.

    This.

If the seller on eBay is 'reason2shop' or something similar, he's been selling overpriced shirts for years. His price has increased with every listing, I assume as his own stock runs low, he's looking to make more money per shirt sold.

His name is John and he was once a member of the LPU, made some cash selling to the old Collectors Clan (precursor to the original LPCollectors.com). He stumbled on an online seller about 7 years ago who found and entire box of the blue shirts in storage, bought them at wholesale price and tried to resell to all of us for a significant profit. Nice enough guy from what I remember and they're legit shirts, I just don't know that I'd pay that much.

  2. Especially keeping in mind that their demo's aren't available on any CD I know of.

Apologies for picking a small portion again, but this is the only portion that I feel the need to comment on...

Any materials, including demos, even if not officially released for sale are considered the intellectual property of the artist or band who recorded them or in some cases are also under the control of their respective label, depending on the agreements they have in place. Never assume that just because a track isn't on a CD that it's a freebie. ;)

  3. i wish you also release this show on torrent as well alomg with toutube..it would be pretty much easier for everyone to download...... :D

I think the idea of distribution via torrent is an excellent one. Which is why we've done it with many of our releases in the past.

ya no torrent? would be much convenient for most ppl

And yet, no matter what method we choose (torrent, direct download, etc) there's always someone who considers something else more convenient.

  4. I want at least 1 from each show so it would be better if the ones with the most sources were done

    Thanks.

Sure, I'll get right on these. Expect to have them done by sometime near the end of the century.

A couple of things here... If you're going to make a request, make it reasonable. To request this much all at once and of something that to my knowledge does not exist for any of these shows is laughable. Next, there are very few shows on your list that have even one decent sounding audio source - Most of the audio from fan videos is average at best. Lastly, some of the sources are uncirculated and aren't even in the hands of people who could pull off creating a matrix recording. Matrix recordings are only an option if the sources work together (a SBD recording + AUD source or 2 AUD sources, one with good vocals, etc). If you take 2 or 3 subpar sources and mix them, the sum of the parts will sound just as poor as the separate parts.

  5. Thats pretty dumb IMO, considering how much money those tracks will make them in the future now.

And that right there is the point. They want to be able to sell them if they choose to do so in the future and not have them distributed for free by anyone with the CDs and a connection to the internet.

The LPA release was authorized by Sean, if memory serves me, but that's neither here nor there as what happens on other sites is not under our control here.

  6. Seconded. It degrades the overall experience, IMO. I mean, its great for everyone's ego, but thats about it. I'm happy about being able to get this show and I'm happy the effort that you all put in to bring this show to us, but I hope that these three weeks are justified, and this isn't just a sad attempt to build hype.

After reading this over a few times, it seems rather sour. I think I'm just sick of waiting already, and I'm getting a bit testy about the whole thing. I think this release is legendary, I'm just pissed about it taking nearly a month of known time to release one concert... But unfortunatly, being at your mercy, I will wait as long as you make me, eh? haha.

Just to set minds at ease and this is the last time any staff will have to address this point (I hope):

All schedules were delayed when the LPL server crashed during the North American tour. We didn't want a half assed release of this show while our site was on life support and any and all resources during that time were dedicated to bringing the site back.

Call it hype, call it teasing, call it ego... whatever you wish. This staggered youtube release schedule gives us the last bit of time to finish the DVD menus and artwork, finalize the DVD, encode youtube vids and upload those and upload the DVD for final distribution so that all of you can have it as quickly as possible on May 1.

And yes, I'm personally enjoying torturing you guys a bit. A lot of time and money have gone into bringing this to everyone. If you can't wait a further two weeks, so be it.

  7. Why doesn't we add a torrent part to this site? Make it easier for Download of the week

It's just not a viable option. Look at lp-bits as an example - only a handful of people ever uploaded or seeded and new uploads there were basically limited to whatever people found on other sites and uploaded there. There are too many good torrent trackers out there for live music to compete with, especially doing so with one specialized for a single artist/band.

  8. It's just that, I think Sean, was against sharing of GD music freely on the Internet. So it's against our rules.

We had requests from both Sean Dowdell and Jon Krause to not allow GD tracks to be shared here, so we complied.

  9. Meh. My footage isn't particularly high quality to begin with, I'd rather not if at all possible.

I'll throw my videos up on my Youtube either way, whether they use my footage or not.

Oh just do it. You know you want to. I wanna see some low quality shit make the video. Like, worse than those old 'videopimp' mpeg files of Rock am Ring 2004 that we all had forever!

  10. The seventh show of Linkin Park's North American Tour in support of "A Thousand Suns" takes place in Kansas City, MO at the Sprint Center. Linkin Park's last show here was back in 2008 at the Sandstone Amphitheater in Bonner Springs on the PR 08 tour (show page here).

Kansas City (Bonner Springs, specifically) also hosted shows in 2001 and 2004 but the last show listed in Kansas City itself was way back in 2001, at Hale Arena.

Who's going tonight? Anyone going to the M&G? Now that we can presume that we have an idea as to the content all of the setlists for this tour, what do you guys think of them? Which one do you think we will get tonight? A1 again perhaps? After tonight, LP takes a break and then heads to Philly on Monday night and then they're off to New York City for appearances at Madison Square Garden and Saturday Night Live.

Be sure to check out Astat's recap of last night's M&G and show in St. Paul here. He didn't end up on stage like we'd all hoped, but, as usual, provided a wealth of information from the M&G and great details about the show. As of this morning, no further DSPs have been released but the first 2 went up rather quickly. Lets hope they keep the pedal to the metal when it comes to getting them out to the fans!

**EDIT** As of 7:35 PM (EST):

Early reports from Mark indicate tonight's setlist will mirror the one from St Paul last night, tentatively known as 'C5'. We'll obviously confirm this when the show starts and details begin to be reported!
