it's a cover of "Friday I’m In Love", but definitely not LP rehearsal.

Bruce Menchen uploaded a video to his YouTube account recently of Chester singing part of The Cure's 'Friday I'm In Love'. It is unknown when this performance is from, and due to it being such a short clip, we don't have any more information on it. Chester has performed this song several times before - once at the annual 'Stars Of The Season' show in Scottsdale, AZ in 2012 (show page here) and most recently at a Camp Freddy show in Santa Monica, CA in December 2012 (show page here). It's possible that this clip is from a rehearsal before one of those performances, but it also could be just him in the studio having fun with friends.

you made me think about STP songs, and i found out - hey, we can get a real live version of Wonderful now.

My December lyrics are for who sing it, The Messenger is for who listen to it. sometimes it's matter. are you really want sing to those kids: "give it all away"?

i don't think there is a connection between not giving a song a chance to be play live to "challenging". "challenging" can be more related to the process, for example, how they write the lyrics/music. i don't remember them using the word "challenging" about the live shows.
