  1. Not had chance to listen (I'm at work) but these are the ones I released on LPFuse as parts of the TOTP gig (including the A06/Shove It track).

They're all the same show - from 2003, a couple of days after the nottingham 03.03.03 show.

    There's a partial SIB too...

Then there's around 40 mins of the band setting up and rehearsing tracks (including a rude version of Don't Stay!)

Followed by a short gig including 2 versions of SiB and on the second attempt brad's string breaks....

It's a super rare gig and I have talked about releasing a version of it in some form...

Do you still plan on releasing it?

  2. The idea for Collision Course was partially inspired by a mashup made by a DJ who went by the handle "al-b3" (his website is no longer around, unfortunately). He created 3 LP/Jay-Z mashups in early 2004 - Don't Stay vs. 99 Problems, and two versions of "99 Problems Closer" (One Step Closer vs. 99 Problems, one version had Jonathan Davis' verse from 1STP KLOSR in it, one didn't). 99 Problems Closer gained enough attention to receive airplay on numerous radio stations, and many people thought it was an official remix (or after Collision Course came out, many people thought it was a Collision Course demo).

The first time I downloaded Collision Course, it came with the 1STP KLOSR version. I only found out it was fan made/fake after buying the CD.

    Edit:

Mike Shinoda about Summer Sanitarium tour:

"Toward the end of the tour, Lars Ulrich put on fuzzy, pink bunny-ears and big green "Hulk"-fists and invaded our stage to mess around with us during our set. Later, on the last day of the tour, we were allowed to go on stage and pull a little pratical joke on Metallica, a feat that (as we were told) no band in twenty years has been allowed to do. We took a basket, blanket, and food onto their stage and had a little picnic as they played "Master of Puppets.""

  3. "Iridescent" was actually the working title for a completely unrelated track that didn't make A Thousand Suns. They discarded the track, but kept the title and used it for another song.

"Sold My Soul to Yo Mama" being included on that list is random as hell. How do you even have a "working title" for a song that's an instrumental save for some sampled vocals from Papercut and Points of Authority?

Didn't know that about Iridescent. I thought they were the same song.

    OddTree says to (13:38):

Hi Mike :D Where did some of Linkin Park?s more… random song names come from? (Figure.09, Sold My Soul to Yo Mama, Papercut, etc.) Were they just working titles you guys decided to keep? -Aud ?

    mshinoda says to (13:38):

    Yes, they were working titles!

    mshinoda says to (13:39):

    Faint, too.

    Edit (another fact):

Linkin Park and Jay-Z actually recorded 8 tracks for Collision Course but only 6 of them were released.

  4. Every year there are a lot of rumors about Linkin Park playing in Brazil. Brazilian people posting news everywhere about unconfirmed tour dates. I can't stand this shit anymore. It would be so much better if they waited for an official statement by the band instead of posting this kind of stuff.

  5. MTV Overdrive performance is what I posted about in the "submit corrections" thread. The "enchanted red forest" performance hahaha. RTN, Believe Me, Petrified, High Road for MTV.com. And we can't figure the date out :(

And since this applies to the thread (unlisted FM performances), we are missing the Fuse Daily Download performance of Where'd You Go on May 1st, 2006 (same day as TRL, they did 2 shows in 1 day).

So that would be two performances right there that we are missing.

Can you upload Where'd You Go?

By the way, I think you should mention the videos we have of Fort Minor's Summer Sonic performances in the show page.

    12.08.2006

    - Remember The Name (???)

    - It's Goin' Down (LPU/FMM)

    - Where'd You Go (feat. Chester) (LPU/FMM)

    13.08.2006

    - Where'd You Go (feat. Chester) (MTV Japan)

    - Believe Me (MTV Japan)

    - Petrified (MTV Japan) - not broadcasted in the same day as Where'd You Go and Believe Me

    - Believe Me/Interview (MTV Japan's Summer Sonic 06 Interview Special)

  6. Yes. Can you upload them? I just found them on my computer too but when I play them (.wmv files) they're fucked up.

The videos are protected. For some reason I was never able to watch them when I had Windows XP. (I'm using Windows 7 now)

After I've seen your post I tried to play them again. First with Media PLayer Classic, but, as you said, the video was "fucked up". Since they are .wmv files, I tried to open it with Windows Media Player. It showed a messenge saying I have to download/update something in order to play the videos. That's what I did and it worked. I can finally watch the videos now.

I am pretty sure FM did a rehearsal at Third Encore and MTV. showed RTN, Petrified and Believe Me from it (and maybe one other song?) on MTV.com. I remember this pretty well. I will also look into it. It's possibly another FM date we are missing because I don't see where they could be from on our current FM page.

Do you mean the "MTV Overdrive" videos you gave to LPTimes?

    I still have these videos.

They played "Believe Me", "High Road", "Petrified" and "Remember The Name".

All videos have "MTV.com Live" in the title.

  8. An early 2003 LPU chat with Brad:

"according to Brad, "just drag it out, remember" is from a song called "A6" which will be on the LPU 2.0 cd."

Looks like it was from A.06 with lyrics.

wow! Awesome to know that! Thank you very much!

Do you happen to have the full chat transcription?

  9. I have the Seoul show almost full. Somehow OSC clearly is from a different source with worse quality compared to the rest. I included it anyway, decide for yourself if you want to keep it ...

    Download:

    http://www.sendspace.com/file/638tit

This is the same one I have. OSC does sound different. But from Don't Stay to APFMH, they sound like they are from the same source. According to the show page, source 2 is "missing last few songs". I assumed it would be more than just 1 song.
