  1. Great to have Brad with the band β€” as others mentioned, he's been contributing a lot, especially taking on a production role with the last few albums. Gonna miss him on stage though. Judging by the fact that Alex uses a Brad rig, I get a feeling this wasn't planned much in advance. That said, whatever personal, health or other issues were the cause, seems like this statement is vague enough to provide cover for Brad skipping this year's tour or not doing touring altogether going forwards.
  2. Solid show, great introduction to The Emptiness Machine. I think Emily is doing really well, and will ease more into this with more shows under her belt. I think OSC was the highlight out of the older songs, but WFTE is very interesting to hear with a different vibe, would probably grow on me a lot. Lost was also great, I hope for more chances for Emily to be herself instead of playing a Chester stand-in. Also, Mike's vocals have been amazing. We all know he's stepped up drastically with Post Traumatic, but him doing The Catalyst today was like a career best. And it's great to see the trademark energy of him doing ITE and interacting with the crowds back again on full display. What's perplexing is the choice to transpose so many songs, and so drastically to boot. I think it's easily the worst part of the new experience so far, it's weird hearing iconic loops from In The End or What I've Done keyed 2 steps up, even when Emily is in the vocal range of Chester (or close enough). Even more perplexingly, not all songs were transposed for whatever reason, and not all of them equally: Papercut was spared and played as usual, Faint was just 1 step up instead of 2. Speaking of What I've Done, did you notice the inverted harmonies there and at the end of Faint? Seems like for some songs Emily is taking the lower line and Mike's going high β€” seems like a nice choice to me, sounds super organic. Finally, it wouldn't be a Linkin Park show without Joe messing up the intro to The Catalyst. Welcome back, we missed you. πŸ’œ P.S. This is an unpopular opinion for sure but with the new shows announced for next month and especially the live tour for 2025, I hope and pray they dedicate enough time in the set to "From Zero" and post-MTM records. I know folks love the first 2 albums and nostalgia tours are all the rage β€” but Linkin Park is not and has never been a wash-up band, and all that old material has been holding the band back for years.
  3. Love the new single, don't love the video. Excited to see how they approach these live shows β€” kinda feels like a showcase for the new lineup and for the 2025 tour. It's also kinda (very) weird there's a 2 month gap and the last show of the cycle is in Colombia of all places. There's also a Billboard digital exclusive interview on how the new album came to be, the lineup, Rob, future plans, etc: https://www.billboard.com/music/rock/linkin-park-singer-tour-album-cover-story-interview-1235766805/ Edit: Come to think of it, they will probably need to film tour promo footage at these gigs anyway for 2025. What are the chances of us getting some proshot live songs from this tour released?
  4. Might be of interest to some of you fine folk that 'lp.jpg' from the website has latitude and longitude added to its EXIF tags, both reading '0ΒΊ 0' 0.00"'. So that might be another clue for the Zero / Xero theory.
  5. Oh man, I predicted a Russian date as soon as Poland got announced. Seems like we're getting a full european leg like in 2012. Hope Saint Petersburg gets some love too.
  6. It was me streaming the same KTLA broadcast for some time. :]On that note... since I probably won't come back to it as I've planned, here's some stuff from 2009 Greenfest show (was unlisted for a while): , , , .
  7. Oh man, I was testing Hangouts recording to save this stuff, but sadly it didn't record the output audio from screen capture.
  8. WaitWaitWaitWait... that's all? No LITE, no old or new stuff? Is it me, or are LP's shows getting more lackluster each year?
  9. Pretty much this. I'm alright with fun and games (and it was fun) and here it was quite civil, but complaining to the guy or directly insulting him? It's not doing any good, for everyone. Yep, good stuff.
  10. A lot of people were acting as if they were entitled, especially on Twitter. The hate messages to Doug is where it gets really bad though. As a fanbase, shouldn't we be better than that?
  11. CASTLE OF GLASS, indeed. Edit: it seems the stream shut down, probably because of our little Doug-fest here.
  12. Yep, Breaking The Habit. For now, seems like it's Festival Set B for tonight.
  13. At least we're back to setlist tracking and croud packin' with Doug. One of the biggest bands in the world, just over his shoulder!
