  1. The PR04 laminate doesn't seem to be Rob's. As you pointed out it says "D."

Rob's would probably be a tour laminate which looks different.

    Something like this:

    PR04_1.jpg

In the description it says the payments were for the band, which seems likely to me. I don't think the merch guy would get $500 a night for a radio show. Also supporting bands on tours like this get very little pay.

  2. Hmm possible but Berlin again for a + release seems like a boring idea to me. The whole 4k thing is just a waste anyway if it ends up just being a DVD. They should finally go with the times, like all the other bands seem to do, and release + stuff also on Bluray.

Something like Download 2014 would be a much better choice, clearly a special show from that cycle unlike Berlin for example.

  3. Berlin had problems with Guilty All The Same. I bet that's why it wasn't released.

If that was the real reason that would be just laughable. Just because it was screwed up in the broadcast doesn't mean it's in the recording too, which it probably isn't. Even if it was they would be able to fix it.

It would be also a huge loss of money if they filmed a show for 10,000's of dollars just to scrap the whole project because one half of song is screwed up.

I don't remember if there was any hard evidence that this was planned as a release but the main reason this "event" happened was a big marketing stunt for Samsung and it's 4k technology, to sell more TV's that no one wants. Another theory was also that this would be included as a 4k demo disc for their TV's at some point.

I am happy that this didn't end up as an official release for several reasons. The show was just average, the crowd was great and all that but I could think of better shows. But the main reason for me is still that it looks like garbage. It looked really shitty, even for HDTV standards. They could have fixed a lot of stuff in editing but it still wouldn't look very good overall.

A much better example would be Guitar Center Sessions. It was originally filmed in 4k too and it looks awesome.

To get back on topic, it would be great if we get the show at some point or just part of it. I just can't think of any occasion it would be released.

  4. Added #6, thanks loulax07!

I guess that's it with updates for a while, only really hard to find or unconfirmed ones that we need to hunt down are missing now.

I'll start working on the merch picks next.

I also updated the OP and holy shit! @ that I started this over 5 years ago.

  5. So I assume You know about the missing Tortex sign on three picks? I've talked with Mark about it and seems to me there should be another 16 picks total in MTM collection that don't have the Tortex sign on them..I may be wrong though and the three picks could be just misprinted. The ones without the sign in Seans auction are: Chester, Phx and Brad all with round logo. At least these are the ones I've received from him.

Yeah I know. I already updated my list but haven't re-uploaded it yet. I'll add it all with my previously mentioned updated coming soon.

As far as I can tell it's only Chester, Brad and Phoenix. There might be more but I don't think it's all of them. I guess it's some sort of misprint.

  6. Yeah I saw that. It's a great offer to get started. Complete ATS and LT sets, plus a complete MTM set except 2 tiny variations.

I'll post an updated list soon, it's currently offline I know.

I'll also redo the MTM section and re-scan the ones I got in the meantime to get a better quality consistency. It's really hard to match it when they come from several sources.

  7. Could easily be Milan 2001 that was on MTV for years all around the world.

This was 15 years ago, the brain is not known for remembering things exactly as they were.

Also MTV doesn't air full shows, that's simply not possible in their 30 minutes / 60 minutes slots for live stuff, especially back in the day.

  8. for me personally signatures that I didn't get myself have no value. I want to connect something with the signature like the moment I met them.

But that's just me ^_^ I'm sure you can get a lot of money. I'm guessing 200-300 USD

LP has signed a billion things over the last 15 years. I think technically their signatures aren't worth much since the band has remained unchanged for the last 15 years also.

You won't find many signed skateboards, and the skateboards themselves are pretty rare too, so that should increase the value, but I can't really say how much you can ask for. It's more like how much is someone else willing to pay.

I think signatures have a much higher personal values, also because you are the only person that knows for sure that they are legit. A COA doesn't mean anything either, everyone can write one.

If you look at LPU auctions, some crazy people pay a ton of money for signed items, unless it's something really weird.

If you plan to sell it on ebay, do a buy now with a higher price but also with the option to submit offers. You probably have to be patient but maybe you get what you have in mind.

Again, you cant prove that the signatures are real and I think that's the main reason people why pay a lot more on lpu auctions or charity auctions, cause those are trustworthy sources.

How much were these back then? $60?

  9. Don't we have some 2000 shows were LP played with Boy Hits Car at least once?

Live performance of "One Step Closer" leads to mtv.com which means it was official proshot footage of the song. As far as we know (or knew, if the Farmclub thing is correct), the band first started TV performances in 2001 and this post is from 2000.

So I guess, it was that Roxy video and it was official enough and we don't have it.

I think I discussed it before, but what's up with official video being uncirculated?

Could be also from KROQ AAC.

It is possible that she's talking about PR2002 somehow, but who knows? I saw some people making this kind of mistakes before.

Xero/HT opening for Cypress Hill is a common myth. The Xero Lynus Brook show was supposed to be the one they opened for them but it was never confirmed that Cypress Hill ever played a show there around that time or that this venue even exists. This was also brought up in the recent LPA podcast and Mike denied it too.

  10. I figured when they said bi-monthly, they meant it would go January, March, etc., so this is a pleasant surprise. Sounds like it may be the best demo of the bunch so far.

Yeah it makes sense to me so the last track will be released in October and not November when the next LPU launches.

  11. Are you serious? Parts/samples of Sad are in By Myself. They are very similar at least, everyone could make that connection. No one would do the same for Animals and RU if Mike never mentioned it.

Maybe Animals was to RU what Blue was to Crawling, that's a much better example imo.

  12. It would be nice to have all 12 tracks on a CD at some point...

The quality of the digital download varied a lot over the years:

    LPU 11 - mp3, 192 kbit/s

    LPU 12 - mp3, 160 kbit(s

    LPU 13 - lossless m4a

    LPU 14 - mp3, 320 kbit/s

    LPU 15 - mp3, 192 kbit/s

I don't know about the older releases but the point is that the CD was always a way to upgrade the quality of the digital download.

If we are not getting a CD for the next 6 additional songs they should at least release them in the best available digital quality.

  13. I have no opinion on this, locals should know what's best. So I can only comment on the technical part:

It will fix itself when the country name is changed, it picks the image path by that name. I also checked the flags folder and all required flags are in there.
