Looks like someone's basement.

Would be cool to have that show but on the other hand it seems pretty average to me. Rock am Ring is a much better show with the same setlist.
-
Everything (that we know of) is circulated except the source 2 from day 1 in lossless format.

3. Pretty sure here's only one rip
4. I remember that he had to redo it because people complained about the massive filtering.
for Linkinpedia purposes, the links to both LPA versions
http://www.lpassociation.com/forum/threads/xero-demo-tape-remastered-2011.33879/
http://www.lpassociation.com/forum/threads/xero-demo-tape-remaster-v4-0-garage-days-unleashed.35122
so Skittle021's version is one rip, with 2 different remasters.

Rip by JonandBT

It's a crapshoot for sure. You're never going to get two cassettes, particularly 20-year old cassettes, that sound the same. I think I'm up to 5 or 6 different digitized versions of Xero rips from various sources and they all have their pros and cons.
aren't all those versions just sourced from 2 or 3 tapes really?

I'd bet that some of the tapes are not worth the money anymore. A few years ago someone attempted a re-rip and it sounded absolutely horrible, so depending on how they were stored and the overall quality of the tapes some might be in bad condition. And that's not getting any better as they continue aging.
That's something that would matter to me if I paid that much money for it.

On a side note, I think it would be super interesting if you do a page or article on LPC, what the rarest items are.
Since you have a pretty good overview how many of each are out there, as an indicator.
I'd really like to see that.

I don't want to be harsh but I'm not sure that you fully understand how this all works.
It is usually not like that you look for a specific show and you end up finding it someday (unless you know it really exists and someone actually has it).
There is a massive amount of luck involved in the process. MANY of the shows that we found over the years, we were not looking for and/or had no idea that this even existed. Often when looking for something totally different.
Even when you know that something very likely exists, take PR 2002 for example. You have to find someone who actually has it AND is willing to trade or sell it. And very often someone that has access to something like that due to a job, they wouldn't risk it for something like that. Unless their is some weird coincidence that they got this and won't get in trouble.
We thought about this Ostrick thing a lot, first of all I'm pretty sure that you cant do crowdfunding without even telling him about it. There might also be conditions applied to the crowdfunding that you promise the donators he doesn't agree with.
Who knows if we are even able to raise such an amount. If we raised the money privately there would be no way for us to ever get that money back, which is the main problem. Unless we were to sell copies, which we probably can't and shouldn't do anyway.
Even licensing it, to just put it on youtube or whatever might even costs this much. It seems like a ton of money to us but this price is totally realistic in the TV/Film industry.

To tell the truth - I loved the 2.0 version with all its problems.
I was kinda guru at editing that Web pages. That was probably the period, when I did the most for the site.
With 4.0 I was very confused with the procedure of editing the pages, as for me at that time it was a lot harder. All of that databases made me dizzy, lol.
It was a lot simpler back then but using database was a step that we had to take. It was a ton of work to copy every show manually into 4.0, which lead to a lots of errors in the process too. With a database we don't have to do that again, with even more shows now. Makes it all a lot easier to do a new version at some point when the data can be just transferred.
2.0 and 4.0 had quite a lot code inconsistencies because of the system. I agree 4.0 was complicated but I think 5.0 is now what it should have been back then.

I'm pretty sure if there was something on the back side it would be shown here: http://lpcatalog.com/item/xero/cassette/demo-tape2

Can anyone confirm Boston?
If it's true we've a new source
No new sources. Boston is Mansfield, MA 2001-08-07 Ozzfest.
"Trocadero" is a DSP, 2007/2008-ish show, not worth identifying.

Chester should just record a cover album with some other all star musicians. Or just an EP like Stone Sour did.
-
Am I the only one that thinks it is weird that it's the HT soldier with the Meteora band logo? Otherwise it's not bad, burgundy and black might be not the best combination, maybe it just looks off in the photo, but yay a different color for once.
-
Not necessarily someone who works for the band but someone from the record industry for sure. There's also Korn, Limp Bizkit and others. Could be anyone from WB for example. Quite a lot of people seem to get these RIAA plaques even when they were not directly involved in the album.
Looking at the pic Serg posted it could easily be the same house! Same white walls with visible wooden beams.
-
There's another "movie" that features several RIAA certificates in the background including Meteora and Hybrid Theory.

It happened when they were still called Metal Skool
The first guest performance with them was this show: http://lplive.net/shows/db/chesterbennington/20060828
The interview is also quoted on the showpage.

No, he probably means more drum tracks as in more tracks for the drums not additional drums.

great finds- always amazed at how BPercy finds his stuff!!
These two were on ebay. One Step Closer too IIRC.

I highly doubt they'd reveal music from the new album this way. They recently released an LPTV teaser that had no new music in it, obviously not revealing anything and just a few days later Mike releases 2 clips online. That doesn't make any sense to me since they are always very careful about these things. They don't want the fans to make up their minds about an album this way, we speculate enough what they say in interviews what it is going to sound like.
I think it's the Lonely Island song, if they teased that they have nothing to lose.
For a movie like that I don't think we are getting a traditional LP song, it's a movie that mocks the pop music industry so I don't expect the song to be 100% serious either.

Beijing 2015Chester's mic dropped out a couple of times during New Divide, this isn't mentioned on the show pagehttps://youtu.be/HoII-ruzfdA?t=47m5sI guess it's also worth to mention that the subtitle lyrics for Given Up for example were uncensored. -
We need to update the torrent soon to fix some of the problems that came up.

Yes that makes sense. The conclusion that it's the 7/24 show was originally in Omar's guide and no one questioned it I guess. There's no way there would be two Orlando webcasts and there's also no way we wouldn't have the HOB webcast. That the show was in "Lake Buena Vista" instead of "Orlando" probably helped in the mixup. How the mixup with the 8/16 show came together remains unexplained since that was definitely not the webcast date but who knows could be anything from a simple typo.I listened to the show not too long ago and there is really nothing in there that helps. All they say is Orlando, they dont even mention the other bands.Mason Jar was always the oldest video recording though. -
Setlists/clues for setlists for 2000 shows.2000.08.16 West Hollywood, CA, The Roxy Theatrehttp://web.archive.org/web/20001109020100/http://linkinpark.poptart.net/index10.htm
This is clearly the Orlando 7/24 recording, it was mislabeled with this date for a very long time. I removed the setlist from the page again.
