  1. I asked Phoenix the exact same question and there will be at least no direct part 2 to this winter tour but they might not even tour the west coast for the rest of 2015, since they had a very big US tour in 2014.
  2. Voting for songs has to be either done when you buy a ticket or via LPU otherwise it is not fair and easily manipulated. I think Metallica is a good example that shows that most people still vote for the stuff they'd play anyway and really rare songs barely make it into the set but with LP it would depend massively what they would offer us to vote for. I'm sure they would exclude a ton of stuff.
  3. You are kidding right? Did you forget about the shoelaces, ear buds etc?
  4. yeah seriously, they just want us to forget about it
  5. During Waiting For The End, after the 2nd chorus the samples suddenly stopped for a couple of seconds, it was very noticeable. Apparently there's no video yet.
  6. Try this http://www.bilder-hosting.info/viewer.php?id=opt1415825176f.jpg and then enhance the picture
  7. Read some interesting info about the 4k stuff. If we manage to get a recording and you want to watch the 4k version on your PC, you might not even get a smooth playback with a quadcore cpu lol, because HEVC is supposed to be decoded by hardware. The HEVC codec is even unsupported by Youtube at this point so you cant even upload the original file there. Here's a screenshot from the demo channel that I found, to get a taste of the resolution: http://www.bilder-hosting.info/bilder/opt1415825176f.jpg Apparently 1 hour is 13 GB.
  8. Honestly, what good live tracks could they even put on the CD unless it's something really old and rare? The only live track I'd want would be My Own Summer live from PR 2002, and that's actually something realistic.
  9. I'd dont fully understand why you need both the receiver and the card, unless there's no dvbs2 card yet that can do 4k.
  10. About 2001, while Offenbach is very close to Frankfurt they don't belong together, some people are very sensitive about this lol. It's like saying New Jersey is a part of New York haha. Anyway, I'm going to the show and sadly my last one on this tour. It's my kind of hometown show if I might say, I don't live in Frankfurt but that is as close as it will ever get. It's my third time seeing them in this venue, always great shows and I really like the venue. I hope I can meet all the people I want to meet at the early entry.
  11. Getting the channel AND recording it is a whole different story. 4k TV is pretty unknown territory at this point. Yesterday I read that the channel blocks timeshift and recording with the receiver, what other ways to record it in 4k even exist? Of course you can hook up a DVD recorder to it but recording the thing in actual 4k is the real challenge here.
  12. There's a map here: http://www.3pmfooty.com/astra19.htm
  13. 2k and 1080i/p is almost the same, the difference is pretty small so it makes sense to skip it. Full HD would be 1.92k
  14. LOL 3D is even more useless than 4k.
  15. No it's to remastered, mastered for itunes basically means that the mastering was optimized for the AAC codec that itunes uses. the whole point is that you don't notice any differences that come with the lossy codec compared to the CD version.
  16. I think no one says that this song is fake, it sounds real and you can even hear Lorenzo talk, but that doesn't proof anything. It's not hard to make up a song list when you have info about one of the songs, that's the same thing that happened for the fake Hunting Party track list. If someone who was actually says it's supposed to be Track 9 then that raises some doubts. The track list is either completely correct or fake, there's no in between with a wrong song order or something.
  17. the info is so exact, if it's real there has to be further proof, like a sheet of paper it was typed from or a photo that was taken, that's definitely not mouth to mouth delivered information.
  18. No way he would leak it himself like that. To not spoil too much? because people record that stuff, and the M&G is way too short to play the entire CD.
  19. Yeah but a wrong song order seems unlikely to me when all the other info is so detailed.
  20. I was only talking about the HEVC codec which is not yet supported by every brand. It's a demo channel so no encryption. It's basically just a huge marketing gag because it's the first UHD live concert broadcast but it doesnt really help anyone especially not the fans.
  21. The thread needs to be updated since there is zero info about any kind of broadcast other than the UHD thing. This is really fucked up, you might not even be able to watch it with a non Samsung 4k TV, even their 2013 models need to be upgraded for this new codec that a lot of these other brands dont support yet. And you need satellite TV and the Astra coverage is Europe only. I really hope that someone is able to record this and that this will be really released at some point. I dont fully trust the Mike statement since that could be easily just a misinterpretation of what Mike said, wouldnt be the first time.
  22. Tickets are on sale in a week how generous.
  23. You are right I mixed that up, what I meant is, no one would buy it if they called it 2160p lol. It's double resolution but 4 times more pixels right?
  24. Just like he said I highly doubt that this will be streamed in 4k, especially if tons of people worldwide tune in, sounds like a marketing gag for later. It will honestly surprise me if it's HD resolution at all. The resolution is important for the overall quality because the higher it is the the more bitrate you need and the higher the traffic is, when there's not enough bitrate it will look shitty no matter how good the resolution is. The whole 4k industry is desperate because no one really needs it, and you won't even see a difference unless you have a huuuge TV. 4k always seems like a scam to me anyway, the 4k makes it sound like it's 4 times the resolution while in reality it's not even twice the 1080p resolution. So many people don't even see or understand the difference between DVD and Bluray.
