  17. It's very likely they were prepared, like you said probably recorded parts/demos at home. They were an unsigned band at the time. Studio time is very expensive even with the support from Zomba, so maybe they recorded it in just a few days/weeks. Small artists don't need to wait 3 months to release something like major artists/labels do in order to promote it properly. We don't have evidence for a May 1999 tour, but I think the mentioned west coast tour in support of this EP seems more likey to me than the May 2000 shows. I highly doubt they played a lot of shows in early 2000 / May 2000 since they were busy with HT at the time. I think in interviews they said it took about 2 months to record but I don't think that includes all the preparation time they invested. Since they mentioned writing stuff like One Step Closer in an apartment. They pretty much went straight on tour promoting the album as soon as they were done with recording.
  18. Also on the Honda Civic Tour, here's the proof that they sold it at the merch booths. (By looking for a merch booth pic I found my own LPL post lmao) ___________ Another lyrical mistake: (I actually just saw this on an old fansite) Runaway: in the booklet lyrics it says: (2nd line) "Underneath a sky of dust" but he sings "Under a sky of dust".
  19. Capturing the VOD was never the problem. The main issue is that the stream is just really bad.
  20. January 2001 shows: This confirms that they did only those 4 known songs for the BBC. Does that mean that they did the BBC session on the press day too? Omar always suspected that they did more on that promo tour but this interview confirms that they spent only 1 week in Europe playing 3 shows, meaning 3 real shows obviously not including the NPA performance. 21. It's usually the other copyright owners that take the proshot recordings down, like Viacom for MTV stuff for example.
  22. The real question is though, are the old fans still the majority? We don't always realize it but there has been a massive shift in fans over the years. I'd call it almost a whole new generation of fans. They've released so many albums now, there are many fans that became fans through ATS or even Living Things etc. that are fans of the current LP and not what they used to be. That's a fact we can't ignore and it's a little selfish to think that the old fans are the true fans, which is complete bullshit. Can we please keep setlists and LPU CD's out of this discussion for now?
  23. You are right, it would be the logical thing but that doesn't change the fact that they are doing absolutely nothing for their anniversary. At least nothing we know about for now and it's not a live show. They already did the full HT last year for no specific reason, besides money apparently. It didn't really seem like that they wanted to do it, and there's no info if this contract prevents them to do it again in the near future. That's not really the problem, I guess what upsets most people is that it seemed like they would do something like that and it turned out they had absolutely nothing planned. That's at least the second time within 2 years they had a chance do something special and they didn't. The first time being SSMF, which had a really cool and promising promotion idea, with all the Xero stuff and everything, which had the fans really excited. But in terms of the show they didn't deliver.
