I was about to say lol. Funny how you think they were going to do a live Q&A when:

    a) Mike did them for months before STOPPING them bc people asked so many insensitive/stupid questions

    b) Even during the pandemic we managed to get FOUR of em together, the task of getting them together for a Q&A in one place at one time I’m sure takes a lot scheduling. They didn’t HAVE to do this, especially since the DVD pretty much comes out the same day.

though i have to say “soy cuck move” is a new favorite line

    a) Not every fan watches Mike's streams. Also Mike isn't the band. People want to see the band live, even for something simple as q&a

    b) Again, they're doing nothing at this time (touring? new album?) and believe me, I laughed hard when i read "getting the band together takes a lot of scheduling" You serious? Don't get me wrong but this is really funny to say about millionaires that can't afford (time and decent internet) to host a LIVE event.

Also "they didn't have to do this" do what? Record a video and stream a show which is on the dvd while MAKING money out of it? Of course they didn't but this is easy money XD

Live Q&A's online are a terrible idea lol. Look at what a shitshow Mike's livestream chat turned into, that's why he mostly stopped taking questions.

Remember Paparoach anniversary stream? I expected something like this (with answers on questions they asked for earlier - which i had no idea about too) This could be done easily, also talking about weak internet? Really? A multi-million band with such label and no internet connection to host such event? I call this bullshit.

  3. As I go through comments here and there, most fans I see talk about Chester's audtion tape and demos. OF COURSE it's all about the music BUT don't forget there are people involved in this (and always have been) What I'm trying to say is, apart from the music, which all of us would like to get and listen to ASAP, I would love to get a photo album just like MTM had (the deluxe coffee table book) with comments on how it was back then (and I know they still have some cool stories to tell) etc. PHOTOS, STORIES AND MUSIC.

  4. ICQ is a no go, i just checked. 246-357-457 does not exist.

Ok so I think one of the next steps (or one of the very last) would be to repair corrupted music files using defraggler (because what other purpose for it there? hah)

He said it was the VMA's but it most probably was the Billboard Music Awards show. They never performed BID at the VMAs, just at the Billboard Music Awards and the American Music Awards. When comparing both performances the Billboard one looks like it was more chaotic with people running of the stage in the beginning.

Edit: Listening to it again. Mike even said "BMA's" 😄 But I think most people misheard it.

Yeah we misheard it. He said BMA's and Mike starts too early with the keys! haha

That's my actual question about the DSPs:

    Update!

Dan Mayo's files, a new tape loop, and the most important thing...

    MIKE KNOWS 👀🤣

Like he knew from the beginning but wasn't sure if we're paying attention, he was sure when he fucked up with the HT20 tracks, now he's just trying to be funny about it :P MEH mr. SHAWNODA, M.E.H. 🤣

I'm sure pretty sure that Mike don't rememeber any Meteora remixes (if they exist) after like 18 years, we know him. But is weird that he totally took the Meteora remixes out of the answer and didn't mention anything.

The whole never do another remix album thing is pretty obvious imo, Mike had a big role in 90% of the Reanimation songs, i don't think he want to spend all that time again just for a remix album so in Recharged they just send the multitracks to some big name producers in the EDM scene and call it a day (Which explain why is that bad)

How much shinodabucks is a question?

    400 😐

Mike has already answered about Meteora remixes in an earlier stream. He said he doesn't remember them at all but would keep an eye out for them when going through his files.

I know he answered but I didn't get a proper answer to any part of my question. I added Meteora just to, you know, see what happens this time. I  believe if people will ask about them here and then he just might take a minute and find an answer if there is anything (band members either trolled or said the truth) and if not, why, because imho there was a big potential on some songs to be remixed (remember Phoenix in LPTV? He "remixed" Numb)

    - "Did you expect Recharged to be as popular as Reanimation? And what about the Meteora remixes?" -> "No, I don't have expectations of that. Reanimation was remixing Hybrid Theory so I don't think anybody expected another remix album to be as popular as that. And I don't know if we expected Reanimation to be as popular as it was, so there's that."

I'll reply with what I said on the shoutbox, I expected to get an answer about Recharged, not Reanimation. You do stuff based on things, you add another show when the 1st date has been sold out etc. thus they did Recharged based on impulse of some sort, maybe this was just an online project with remixes (this I can understand) but there was that one time where they probably (or Warner, nothing new here lol) thought hey, let's make an album of these and voila.

After Reanimation I told many people I would never put together another album of remixes…but as I began to hear all the amazing reinterpretations of LIVING THINGS, I had to change my mind. The result, RECHARGED, is definitely worth it. I can’t wait for you guys to hear this amazing project, with contributions by Pusha T, DATSIK, KillSonik, Bun B, Money Mark, and others. Our new song with Steve Aoki, A LIGHT THAT NEVER COMES is on the album as well, plus a special remix of the new song by the inimitable Rick Rubin.

    Enjoy the music,

    - Mike

This confirms things, but imho online releases would be enough. I think LT isn't an album that should have remixes officially released as an album but that's just my opinion. Would really like to get a real answer why Mike is so "NO NO" about any other remixes, especially Meteora. IS it his holy grail of albums that shouldn't be touched? (And since he confirmed on what's quoted that he said "never" and then changed his mind, I bet reinterpreted/remixed Meteora would get more attention than Recharged)

Someone needs to ask him about the 17 MTM tracks since it’s the anniversary. We could finally know what they were! We know all but the 17th one. So if we ask him we would say the 12 album songs, NRL, ATL, WWDK, Blackbirds and the last one. We have guesses but never knew for sure. I feel like he would answer it!

I can ask this one today :)

That's Mike's folder of guitar sound presets in the Axe FX. First couple pages are the LP live show sounds.

Oh really? Didn't catch that in the first place. Now listened again and indeed Mike said it that he made them for for example guitar tech's. Meh. Still interesting for a guitar noob like myself though 😄

  10. Don't know if anyone noticed but check out these screens from todays Mike stream, they look interesting 🧐

Long story short, GO demo seekers. These might shine a new light to some of the songs, right?

edit: meh, nothing new as Astat said, just some live stuff.

  11. Imho a boxset with a record, CD and hardcover book with unreleased photos + a history would be enough! Can't wait.

Based on what's currently going on, I predict the price would be somewhere around $120-$150 for a boxset. If it's not what we think it would be, a CD/DVD would be cool too. $40

All of the above are only our ideas. I really think this would be a 2LP colored record set. HT on one, demos on second.

  12. Little suggestion, I know this stuff (especially streams over 1,5hrs) takes a lot of space BUT you need to (yes you @PeppePark) to dl all the streams, save all the screenshots for future  - just in case they're gone. Also if you're into this far deeper than most of us (I mean, I have so little time to work on lpcatalog, not to mention other stuff...I barely come back to any of the streams, I wish I had more time though) maybe you could gather all the answers and make a topic with Q&A: Corona Jams Sessions?

Generally speaking, it seemed like once they had an instrumental recording of any of those early demos, they kept that as the basic track under all subsequent versions of the song and would mostly just record new vocals as the lyrics went through revisions. They'd overdub different parts as needed, depending on when the actual song arrangements changed and stuff like that, but it was pretty rare for them to record an entirely new demo version of a song without using anything from the previous version. Like if you compare the various versions of Esaul, Super Xero, etc., they primarily use all the same beats and guitar tracks. The 9-track demo Rhinestone and the LPU 12 Forgotten demo are the exact same track as far as I can tell, although it's been a while since I compared them.

I'm assuming there's an equivalent version of the LPU 11 Esaul with Mark Wakefield on vocals, which was probably recorded around the same time as the Zomba sampler version of Rhinestone. The same is probably true of stuff like Pictureboard and Slip. I think the band started the process of doing demos for an album in '98 and it carried through the whole process of Mark leaving and them auditioning new singers, then the first stuff they did with Chester was just dubbing him over tracks they already had.

So realistically for any of the pre-HT demos you could have different elements within one take of a song that date between sometime in 1998 and early 2000. I think that might actually be the source of some of Mike's "1998 vs. 1999" confusion, because some of the tracks we have with Chester were probably started in 1998, he just put his vocals on them later.

Question is should we add another instrumental (early version?) to the diagram or just leave it as it is? (can add any other media Rhinestone and Esaul are on) And then there is the final instrumental. I created the diagrams just like the info in linkinpedia states, but I assume these visualisations are still a work in progress until we get them right. IMHO this is a better form of showing how each song transformed over the years than the text version. There is an option to add some notes next to the diagrams as well if needed.
