One thing I don't understand is when he says if he put a song up for download on the streaming platforms, he wouldn't get much money. But the Zora website says he is getting only 15% of $10,000 with this purchase. How is that any more money than the streaming platforms? It seems like a large loss compared to those, actually.

From what I understood: he'll get the full 10k from the bidding. The 15% apply only if the bidder will resell it (which obv can only happens once as well, because the digital item aka NFT is still "unique"), then Mike gets 15% of the price it'll get sold to the consecutive owner.

Also I heavily doubt he'd get 1,5k from one single song that would be one of these CoronaJams on streaming platforms, indeed, anyway.

Cant be because Untitled was already called Untitled at that time

It's not like they couldn't have re-titled it only to scrap it again... other demos changed their names frequently as well. I mean the band themselves changed names even, lol.

  3. I would've loved to have Cure for the Itch back with its initial outro (like on the Unmastered CD) seguing into High Voltage as one track or back-to-back.

Then of course the entire Xero tape in the same quality as for RME.

A CD with the entire Docklands live audio, assuming the video is lost in its proper quality.

KROQ Almost Acoustic 2001, because of the acoustic performance bit.

    Hybrid Theory instrumentals + acapellas

    Reanimation instrumentals + acapellas

Also maybe it'd be nice to have something exclusive to the LPU, that is still tied to HT20 celebration.

So far, I feel like the LPU peeps, who still pay for it to support them were totally neglected in the whole scheme of events.

You’d have to record the radio for 12+ hours. It isn’t an interview. It’s them talking between a ton of music.

    Wait, you don't record it?

And here I counted on LPL for all of the info and talk they'd share. Welp. :(

  5. Big doubt that it's real, given the growing efficacy of programs erasing vocals off a track. Coincidentally it's Rhinestone, which we just happen to have that one out of all possible audition tape tracks in better quality.

Lastly, that's not how trading works. Usually you trade privately and each keeps the exchanged good for himself; not one (COG remix) is kept only for you to post the other one (Rhinestone) publicly. Where's the advantage for the other party who gave you something with an estimated worth? Assuming one would agree, now that worth is split due to someone else having the COG remix, while your good is out there for everyone. As much as I dislike hoarding, I know it's a necessary evil in order to trade stuff.

As a musician I find it quite troublesome that someone can get a copyright takedown for uploading a song that they performed on.

Hm... what about that guy who also did What Are You Worth... imagine if he'd have uploaded it on SC.

Would a takedown be justified, if the other party (Mike/LP) hasn't been notified about it? I definitely think so.

    nope, two different songs

ok, so they're not sharing any similarity? I think that one sample is in both songs for example and the overall mood or beat is too. Maybe someone with actual musical knowledge can elaborate further; but it's the very first thought I had in mind when hearing it.
