  1. Oh absolutely dude. I was going to make sure I preface each release with info. on whether any content was missed as a result of battery exchanges, etc.

I'll just get that info. early for you tonight. The 3 shows I recorded in full were:

    Sydney Soundwave

    Sydney Sidewave

    Melbourne Sidewave

Thanks for the recordings, looking forward to the Melbourne show. Good times.

  2. These shows went by quickly! I don't think there will be any shows between now and the Japan shows which is really disappointing. I've been keeping money saved in anticipation of them announcing a show here for almost a year now lol :(

Oh and just a little something I noticed...it says 7:30-7:45pm in the main post. I think they play a little longer than that these days lol

Exactly. Can't believe the last show for the Australian tour is tonight, it has definitely flew by so quickly. Sad to know LP are leaving the country so soon. :(

  3. Had such a good time last night, I'm still buzzing from it. LP put on an awesome show they all seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Coincidently I was at the show when Chester broke his wrist and also at the live debut of Blackout and Burning In The Skies so to hear APFMH in the encore plus Rob's drum solo just topped it off.

Also did anyone else noticed that the sound was a bit off at times? Mike and Chester had really squeaky voices like they've just sucked in some helium.

  4. Holy FUCK that is $112 USD. Linkubus wasn't even that much in some cities.

    Is Linkin Park insane?

Nickelback is cheaper than that, Foo is half that price and even cheaper than half that usually, Muse is 1/3 of that. I don't understand. Will anyone buy a ticket that expensive for Linkin Park? Like will they even get half of a full crowd? lol

I'm not even paying that much to see a 2 day festival with Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Avett Brothers, Ludacris, TI, Joan Jett, Neon Trees, Civil Twilight, Girl Talk and more.

Tickets are actually cheaper this time round believe it or not.

  5. Very true. I've noticed that Nova seem to be avoiding BURN IT DOWN like the plague. But having said that, they're the type of station that would only pick up and play a song once it starts becoming big elsewhere; not one to take risks. They're quite happy playing 'Call Me Maybe' and any song by the woman-beater Chris Brown 6 times during a 9-5 working day however :S

Triple J have lost the plot too IMO - they're essentially the indie-hipster radio station of choice these days :( True shame because they used to be excellent.

I listen to Nova at work and I think its only with this album that they have kind of avoided. I heard Burn It Down once and that was it. From what I can remember Nova did promote LP's last two albums quite heavily.

  6. I would imagine they would do at least 1 sideshow at the major cities. Hopefully at a really kick ass small venue. Love to see them at the enmore or metro but I doubt they would go that small.

It would be awesome to see LP at a more intimate venue, either way fingers crossed they do.

  7. Yeah I'm kinda up and down about it to. Of course I'm stoked that the guys are coming out, hell some countries don't see the band for years. But there are a quite a few pros and cons with the cons outweighing the pros.

    Pro:

Blink 182 with a chance of Offspring too.

    Massive atmosphere.

Normally awesome hot weather, perfect for Aussie music festivals.

    Cons:

    Festival sets

Massive crowds (some of which won't take to LP as well as some may think)

    Hard to get tickets.

Limited production (so their big video screens and everything would be hard to bring in and use)

    Big ticket prices.

Meet and greet and watch show from KMS away from the stage or be up close missing M&G

With me (and a couple of other fans) wanting to go to every Australian show, it wouldn't be as rewarding for us and any other fan of it was Soundwave festival gigs.

Yes, exactly this. Excited that LP will be coming down to Australia again but I would prefer to see them play their own headlining show rather then at a music festival. If these rumours are true, just wondering if there is any chance they will play some arena shows as well?

  8. Sorry in advance but I just can't get over how some people here are giving almost no fucks that they played With You and Runaway.

During the ATS cycle everyone was like "Oh no, they are playing the same set every night, where are the old songs?" and now they played two songs they haven't played for like 8 years and most users here are like "Oh, nice setlist!" - you see my point? You wanted old songs so badly and now that they are finally being played you aren't even excited, I was totally freaking out when I saw the setlist!

What kind of reaction were you after? I don't think I've read one bad comment about the set list, everyone seems to love it.

  9. We can speculate all we want but we're obviously not going to know how the album is going to sound like until its released.

No doubt there will be disappointed people if the album does not sound how they were expecting it to be.

  10. Did they sacrifice their artistic integrity? No. Actually they are constantly growing as an artist with every album and learning to become better song writers and musicians. Did they do it to be more popular? No. I think many of us have already read the rant by Mike after ATS where he explained that accusation. Did they forgot their roots? I don't think they have, you can still hear Linkin Park sound in their every album, and by thinking their first record as their only root is in a way bit stupid, because the band has said many times HT isn't the only sound the band can do.

You don't know why they changed their sound, so stop saying "everybody know that". And to your second point, you are pulling those percentages from your ass. Actually i think if you go asking people what's their favourite LP song, i easily could imagine most people answering In The End, One Step Closer, Faint, Given Up or other songs like that which are all at least a bit more rock.

All videos where he said those or didn't happen. I honestly don't think Chester has ever said HT is better than MTM and Meteora. And even if you could provide the links (which i doubt) of course your taste in music can change. I sometimes say From The Inside is better than Faint, then sometimes i think it's the other way around :D

My english isn't the best but i hope you get my points.

Exactly, in LP's case changing their sound has actually did the opposite to what the definition of selling out is.

  11. There is so much wrong with this I could... oh, it's not worth it.

Hit the nail on the head.

Just like to point out that my earlier statement was sarcasm, in case the capital letters and excessive punctuation didn't tip anyone off.

Can't wait to hear what this album sounds like. More so than perhaps any other artist (alongside Muse, perhaps), I genuinely have no idea what each LP record will sound like, and that's really, really exciting. I don't see how people could prefer bands to just churn out the same old thing over and over, where's the excitement in that?

Exactly, agree with everything that was mentioned above.
