  1. Wait...what? People are actually judging the performance based solely on crowd reaction? That's fucking stupid. The band sounded just as good as they have at any other show on this tour, from the footage I've looked at. Were all those club shows from 2000 when the band was opening for Kottonmouth Kings shitty too then? Because hardly anybody gave a shit about LP at those performances either.

Personnaly, I have never said I judged LP perfomance. Seeing the youtubes videos, I'm sure it was great. Energetic, good Chester vocals, ect. I think people are disappointed of the lame crownd, not of the band. Because it wasn't supposed to be a lame crownd, it was supposed to be a freaking rocking crownd. Seeing all thoses guys standing silent while they were all going insane in the past of RAR performance, it sucks very hard I'd say.

You can't compare that to the early 2000 shows. LP wasn't famous back then, hardly anybody gave a shit, but it was more "logical". Back then, LP was just a little opening band that had everything to proove.

Yesterday, they were headlining one of the biggest festival in the world.

  2. I almost wish the band kept the whole ATS direction going. This album feels dishonest and rushed, I don't like LP only taking 1 year for an album, they need like 2 to 3 years to deliver something awesome.

I knew it. As soon as LP announced they would have a new record out this summer, I knew people who wouldn't like the album would say this. Exactly this. The whole "It was too soon to make a new record, they rushed the process, they should have taken more time to make something more awesome".

First, if LP members think this album is good enough to be released, I don't see why they should take more time to rewrite songs again and again. It would just lead them to "overthink" a song for the sake of it, and THAT would be dishonest.

Second, you're being negative about the whole record while you have only heard 2 songs (well, 3 with Tinfoil). 3/12. The 9 other songs must be irrelevant.

  3. Freaking rocking fabulous great setlist!!!!!!!!!

So much energy. New intro. APFMH. With You. POA. LGM. Medley. Sabotage. = mind blown

I'm so happy they didn't dropped the old songs after the show at House Of Blues. Also, it's impressive to see how they managed to play the oldies with 99 % of their singles!

The medley is the best idea they've had for a setlist since years. I mean, it's very beautiful, and it let them play 3 soft songs in 1 song, which leaves more place for energetic songs in the setlist.

    Congrats, LP. And thank you.

EDIT: and also, Chester singing face to face with that guy during Crawling was funny and awesome!

  4. I just feel like a lot of people hate this song because of how electro it is...Like you know, the common "it's not rock, it's pop electro bullshit, and where are the GUITARS????". Or close-minded things like that.

That's where most of the complaints on youtube are coming from at least.

Sure it has its bad sides, but it's nowhere that terrible or "worst lp song ever".

  5. I like what I've heard, even if it sounds very dancy so far. Need to listen to the full song for judgment.

Also....I just have a weird feeling, as I'm both happy and dissapointed at the same time. Happy to have finally get a snippet, but....disappointed to have listened to it! After those 2/3 weeks of waiting, I should probably have wait until monday for the full song. Oh well....ahah

  6. I have a feeling that this is going to be LP's return to mainstream audiences. Kind of like their "comeback album" in terms of popularity and sales.

Yep, I had the same feeling some days ago. And this feeling was empowered by the poor quality leak and the super-catchy chorus in it. Guess it's good news for LP if it turns to be true :)
  7. Seriously, I think I have never been that excited for a new LP record since I'm following the band, around pre-MTM era. All of what has been said so far regarding the new record (more up-tempo, mixing old and new, heavier electronic elements....and the descriptions of 5 songs right here) have really got me pumped. Can't wait !!

  8. I mean there is so much more you can do with guitars.

    Agreed

I really hope bringing back guitars doesn't mean boring ass distorted powerchords from the first two records, because that would be a real step backwards

Not agreed. Too easy and too generic judgement. If distorted guitars are used the right way and in the right moment, they can be very pleasant.
  9. In my opinion, instead of just doing what THEY want to do, like Minutes to Midnight and A Thousand Suns, they are letting fans tell them what to do a little bit.

But maybe THEY want the guitars backs. Just saying...:)

And more guitars doesn't necessarily means more heavy guitars. LP could experiment with tons of guitar pedals to get weird noises /original guitar textures. See what bands like Joy Formidable do with guitar pedals, it's pure awesomeness.

  10. I have the feeling some people are getting it wrong. I don't see it at all like a step back to Nu metal. Seriously, I see zero chances of getting songs like Forgotten, By Myself, Hit The Floor, or Don't Stay again. Apparently, if what they've said so far is true, the new album will be more of an uptempo record, while the last two were mid-tempo records, and in that way, it would reconnect with the old "full of energy"' LP. You can be "heavy and fast" without sounding nu-metal. And it wouldn't be a step-backward IMO.

  11. Bye bye to shitty ATS music! CANNOT WAIT.

LOL ATS music wasn't shitty, it was just different! But still, I'm happy to see there won't be an ATS.20 (at least it seems so)

Where can i read the interview?, I cant find that magazine in my country...

Scans are online on site LP association ;)
