  1. What a monster f*cking amazing crownd!!!

The pit is really really into it during OSC. Wow.

Also, great performance / arena / lights/ mix (even if the stream quality is not at the top for the moment)... I would love to have the complete show. Rather have this one complete than the Home Depot Center one :P

  2. Lol. I can't understand how exclusive new music, even if instrumental, would be boring...

Not so long ago, we were getting a Breaking The Habbit live version every year. Now, that was boring.

  3. Fuck that bullshit.

    It should be...

    01. 21 Stitches (''Given Up'' Demo 2006)

    02. Accident (''Bleed It Out'' Demo 2006)

    03. Shadow Of The Day (Demo 2006)

    04. Song Q (''Hands Held High'' Demo 2006)

    05. Ebow (''No More Sorrow'' Demo 2006)

    06. Valentine's Day (Demo 2006)

    07. In Between (Demo 2006)

    08. Blackbirds (Demo 2006)

    09. Japan (''Across The Line'' Demo 2006)

    10. Thoughts That Take Away My Pride (Demo 2002)

    ;)

Honestly, I wouldn't like that. I pretty much prefer when they give us some materials that we have never heard before. Stuff like Slip, Blue, Broken Foot, What We Don't Know, I Have Not Begun, Pale ....

Demos of released songs are cool but we already know how those sounds. Sure there would be some variations, but even then...I think demos of unreleased songs are way more exclusives and fun to discover. Even if they're instrumentals. Because those are totally new music, and not 50% new.

On the other side, I'm pretty excited to hear the MTM demos Mike told you about at the summit. I just hope those are totally new, and not demos of LTGYA/In between/....

  4. Yep, I love the fact that the band has so much energy on this tour. Shit, the show in candem had maybe one of the heaviest setlist LP has ever done. APFMH, Given UP, Victimized/Qwerty, OSC, Faint, LGM, POA, With You, WTCFM...all in the same set! I never though it would happen during the ATS days, as the setlists were turning softer and softer.

And also, the band's presence on stage is awesome. Chester's going freaking mad. Just look at him during the Victimized/Qwerty transition at Candem show. I didn't though the band still had that much power, it's really a good surprise!

  5. Good choice with the LT songs I guess, those are definitely the most energetic and live-style songs from the record. Some of them could eventually become live anthem (especially LITE :) ) And I'm happy they'll be playing Victimized, it would be killer if they added a new outro to make it longer!

Now, regarding the older songs, I'm just hoping for APFMH, With You, and POA to stay in the set.

  6. Everyone is giving their favorite-least favorite list....I personaly can't make one. I only know HT and HTEP are my favorite. Then there are songs on each record I love, and other I don't like so much. But there isn't a single one I really hate.

  7. Full review time. Weakest LP album I've heard in my opinion. Spun 3-5 times and just not a fan - how the band could release such garbage as this is astonishing to me.

A Thousand Suns destroys this album up and down 5000x over. ATS makes this look like a pathetic excuse for an album, and I'm not even a big ATS fan.

That has to be one of the most harsh review I've read about LT through all the web. Even the haters didn't hated it that much I guess.

It's kind of weird coming from LPL fondator, but well, sure you have to like electro stuff to appreciate this record.

  8. I'm still surprised at how awesome this record is. I don't dislike a single song, there isn't a single one when I'm thinking "This is LP, I should like it, let's find something positive about it!".

In the pre-release interviews, band members said it's the first time since a while they didn't avoid anything in their music process. I can seriously feel it in the music, there aren't tracks that feel forced or weird for the sake of it. And the folk experimentation is incorporated in such a very good way.

Also, Victimized is the shit. Awesome song. I love the way it goes from Mike soft voice to Chester insane screamings.

  9. pretty cool that they're getting vocals from other band members too.

i always think it add more depth to use members for back-up rather than endless takes of the same voice like chester did on DBS

Well, it wasn't exactly back up vocals on this one. You'll see :)
  10. but Victimized is classic numetal song which I love

    Victimized, nu metal?

I'm not a nu metal hater, but this song is very very very very far from the nu-metal standarts. It's more of a punk-rock-electro-hardcore-hip-hop songs...that genre don't exist, but well, you can't really categorize Victimized.

Also, the guy singing at the end of UIB is Brad, it was said in an interview :)

  11. I'm lazy, so I'm will quote what I said on LPA...

This album is f*cking freaking amazing. And to be honest, this is the first time I'm saying this after a new LP release.

With MTM and ATS, I was disappointed at first. This album just blew me away with the first listen. It's energetic, it's weird, but weird in a good way.

Lost In The Echo is....I don't even have words, I was smiling all the way the first time I heard it.

Castles Of Glass and Skin To bone and Until It Breaks....This is what I wanted ATS to be. I usually prefer LP more heavy stuff, but those 3 songs were magic.

And now, Victimized.....If LP ever made an entire record with this style (well, with longer song), it would instantly become my favorite record! And I'm being serious. This song represent what I've always wanted LP to be. Heavy, but weird as fuck at the same time.

The only song that didn't really amaze me is In My Remains. This one is maybe a little bland.

All, in all, this record will probably become my second favorite from LP, after HT. I can already tell I'm gonna enjoy this way way way more than ATS, MTM, and Meteora.

  12. First, props to LP Russia for organizing the flashmobs, wheter they were bad or not is just opinions, the main fact is that they organized flashmobs and had fun, so it's all good.

    Now, into this....

The show was fucking ruined by the crowd, which was just dead.

Nobody even jumped up and down during "With You" and "Runaway", not even mentioning "A Place For My Head" - everyone just STOOD FUCKING STILL.

It's not about the band, they did everything on top, it's all about people who listen to Linkin Park now.

    I'm badly disappointed, guys.

I've never left any show in my life by my own choice, so I guess you can understand how disappointed was I.

If only you saw Mike's face while they were playing "With You", "From The Inside" and "Runaway", I'm pretty sure he was like "wtf?! why are they standing still?"..

Ok, I'll be honest, and say I was expecting a reaction like that since...well, since the begining of the tour. Because watching the crownds reaction show after show, I was thinking the f*cking same. Now during LP shows, most of the people are just standing there, filming the show. They don't jump, they don't mosh, they're just f*cking silent + filming. I can understand some want to have souvenirs from the show or whatever, but how can you be enjoying a show if you just focus on your camera?

Yes, it allows us (those who aren't going to the shows) to see the show after. But I would honestly prefer if the people right there just enjoyed themselves and didn't focus on filming the whole thing, even if I couldn't see the show on youtube then. Filming A Place For My Head? What? You should just go insane in the pit...

  13. let's now change numb into QWERTY and BTH into NMS, then they are heading for the direction i like :D

kick-ass performance of APMFH. unfortunately the crowd is not prepared for that. this is a song to move to. a song to mosh your brain out. not a "oh i will make a video out of it so that i can sing it with my friends at home and remain at the same position"- song.

If Qwerty made it into this set, it would be bad.

Because I would so f*cking jealous of the f*ckers who would enjoy that setlist!!

Anyway, yes, I agree with the crownd reaction. They should be moshing as ever, instead of filming it. But at least, it did let us see that performance.

  14. To sum up... Yeah, there is no good reason not to listen to an album when it leaks.. And Mike should stop that kind of stuff to persuade us for the opposite.. It seems kinda pathetic..

I think Mike's post is more about the hype than about getting us buy the record. He know that most of the people who read his blog are hardcore LP fans who have already preordered LT anyway, so listening to the leak would not make them not buy the record, it would just makes them listening to it earlier.

The way I see it, he's just trying to make Living Things release more special to some people. It's like the longest you wait, the bigest the excitement will be. And there's a weird feeling when you get the physical record in your hands, but you don't know how it will sound.

Of course, it can sound like a "buy the record" argue to those who haven't preordered. But to those who have done it, it's just about the surprise/hype/.... I fully understand it might sound a little over-the-top to some people however :)
