  1. Love it!!!

I'm very excited, I haven't heard the remixes that were available last year as I'm not that interested by them (not at the right computer to download them to my itunes mostly).

However, having said that, a whole album of them does excite me, something new I can put in my car is great!!! And I trust Mike to give me good shit.

A lot of fans don't have the access to the Linkin Park world we have so this is a way of getting the remixes to them too.

    Happy Saturday people!

Agree what you said dude. Not all fans have the access like we do. when i posted this news yesterday on my fb, everyone asking bout this. lol

  2. My opinion, they re-release the song from LIVING THINGS Subscription because i'm sure not everyone buy the subscrption things (even me), so for fans that never listened or have those mp3/song from that subscription will be happy to have those remixes in 1 album. just think that way. maybe we're not happy but the others will. :)

  3. Well ALTNC will be on the album. So unless the album is different from track to track I would expect it to have an electronic type vibe to it at least. I seriously doubt it will be "LT, the EDM versions" though. I hope the Tech N9ne verse is on this album.

I just hope the "CASTLE OF GLASS" remix (the one in LPTV) will be features in this album.

  4. Linkin Park have just announced that they will be releasing a brand new remix and collaboration album entitled 'RECHARGED', based on songs from their latest release 'LIVING THINGS'.

"A LIGHT THAT NEVER COMES will be on the upcoming album, RECHARGED, a collection of interpretations of songs from LIVING THINGS.

RECHARGED will be released October 29th on CD, VINYL, and DIGITAL.

A limited-edition version of the album will also be available and feature an interactive 3D sculpture based on LIVING THINGS album artwork. In addition, a 48 page art booklet, both LIVING THINGS and RECHARGED albums, and a magnetic stylus that allows you to interact with the liquid solution in the 3D sculpture to create unique patterns and designs will be included.

Pre-orders for RECHARGED are set to begin on Monday September 16th on LINKINPARK.COM , while digital and iTunes pre-orders will begin once the new single is unlocked through LP Recharge.

"I think this song and release show where we're at right now. Making the song with Steve, premiering it through the Recharge Facebook game, and debuting it via Microsoft's Xbox Music—I think it's all indicative of our band's commitment to experimentation and pushing boundaries." - Mike"

Broadwayworld.com also has an article on the release, with more information available here. An excerpt about the release reads, "A limited-edition version of the album will feature an interactive 3D sculpture based on LIVING THINGS album artwork. The sculpture was derived from a digital manipulation of a lion's head, housed in a glass globe surrounded by a magnetic liquid called ferofluid this one-of-a-kind piece allows fans to interact with the solution via a magnetic stylus to create unique patterns and designs. Included with the sculpture is a 48-page art book, 2 CD folio pack including LIVING THINGS and RECHARGED, and the aforementioned magnetic stylus. All contents are contained in a custom hinged, clam shell- styled, display box. Each box set will be numbered and LIMITED TO ONLY 500 globally. Pre-orders will begin on Monday September 16th at www.linkinpark.com while pre-orders of the digital RECHARGE album will begin on iTunes once the new single is unlocked."

Edit: A message from Mike on the band's FB page, along with the album art and tracklist.

After Reanimation I told many people I would never put together another album of remixes…but as I began to hear all the amazing reinterpretations of LIVING THINGS, I had to change my mind. The result, RECHARGED, is definitely worth it. I can’t wait for you guys to hear this amazing project, with contributions by Pusha T, DATSIK, KillSonik, Bun B, Money Mark, and others. Our new song with Steve Aoki, A LIGHT THAT NEVER COMES is on the album as well, plus a special remix of the new song by the inimitable Rick Rubin.

    Enjoy the music,

    - Mike

  6. Whoa guys, no need to start slinging mud at each other. Damn. It's just a non-album collaboration.

haha,i'm cool dude. i love the track and for me it's awesome. they need to try something new instead of featuring with another rock band/singer to create new song. it's true that only Mike and Chester performed that night but the whole band took part for the making of the music. i wouldnt said that if i've got no proof. :)

  7. Before being a smartass, take note only Mike and Chester were on stage with him. It could be easily confused.

Also, this collab sucks, We Made It sucks, these songs suck and they should feel bad.

    I went full Joe there.

Mike stated it's Linkin Park AND Steve Aoki. go read the main post before saying something. this colab not sucks. same goes to We Made It. it's your loss if you hate EDM music. :)

  8. Who the heck is Steve Aoki? And why is this labeled as Linkin Park, it's just Chester and Mike.

It's basically some random dude feat: Mike and Chester.

This will be as lame as together we made it.

Who the heck is Steve Aoki?

    - Steve Aoki (Steven Hiroyuki Aoki) (born November 30, 1977) is an American electro house musician, record producer and the founder of Dim Mak Records.

For your information, the whole band took part for the song. Mike stated it and obviously you didn't read the main post properly cuz there's info there.

Nope, this will not be lame as We Made It (unless you hate EDM music).
