    How do the snippets not give a good representation of the song?? Do you think their is some killer guitar riff and then it changes to a synth ballad?? Give me a break, this is what the album sounds like. I just don't understand the decision to abandon the sound that has gotten them to where they are. Do they really think this is what their fans want?? Some of you guys will go crazy over anything they put out, but alot of others won't.

    the one thing I really don't like is, that a lot of people who don't like the new sound seem to think, that the people who DO like it, only do because its from linkin park. thats stupid. maybe we like it because.. well, we enjoy the sound. i mean there ARE songs from linkin park that I don't like. But I like the new sound and thats not only because its from Linkin Park. I think you should respect that as well as your opinion should be respected.

    This isnt Linkin Park anymore, all you guys can like it sure, its your decision, but you also have to see the point that alot people might not like the new style LP do!

     

    alot people bitched about MTM (me too) but now i realy would like hear it insteed of ATS...

    And yes, we can judge by 30 seconds if a song is great or not for our own taste, and my taste say "NO FUCKIN WAY"

    The blackout is great sure, i love it when chester screams, but the rest of the album? common is just ballads most of the time...where is the heavy linkin park most of us older fans felt in love with?

    I think people should stop saying "This isn't Linkin Park anymore". If I'm not completely wrong, the same six guys made it, so I'm pretty sure it still has to be Linkin Park.

    This. I really like MtM(it was a good new way). But this..... . Just 9 songs are "full" songs =/.And yes, I think i can judge after 30s. btw i think the messenger will be famous.

    I think it doesn't matter how many "full" songs there are, as long as they are good (and in my opinion they are). and i think you should keep in mind that the record is meant to be an album, therefore theres going to be the 48 minutes track.

    That's great. Unfortunately that has nothing to do with this song. Jesus do you people not understand? LP has always been about blending styles and this album is no different. Does the rapping have somewhat of a reggae vibe to it? Yes. But you have NOT heard the full song and you don't know how it will sound in the context of the song. I'm so sick of people like you posting stupid ass one sentence replies immediately bashing whatever you hear. At least explain what you don't like.

    I think that there will not be. Based on fan reviews/interviews/etc it seems like this is definitely a Mike record.

    Mike is indeed pretty.. present?, but I think you can't call it a Mike-record though. At least in my opinion it seems more as if there just wouldn't be ONE main singer anymore. That doesn't mean that there isn't any Chester anymore.

    That song completely blew my mind. I can't listen to the beat without banging my head, and the neighbors had to call me to turn it down. This song is amazing.

    Because the First Single is always the Most Commercial Song in the Album...

     

    The Catalyst is awesome, Wretches And Kings is Sick ! but the are so different so we don't have to compare both songs, but i think it was a big error by the band release Wretches And Kings, plus and don't forget Pretend To Be, so 2 new Songs released after the Lead Single of the Album, is weird uh ?

    btw: the song is cut, if you have and Editor like Audacity or something like that you can see that the first lag have a missing part, the song is cut, i don't know if is an download error or is on purpose...

    as far as I remember, the song sounded exactly like this at the prelistening. i could be wrong though

    Has anyone's download skip when they play it? Like when I get to 1:44 when I'm listening to it on my ipod it skips to the next song. And when I listen to it on itunes I can hear a faint noise when it reaches that mark. Any suggestions?

    download it again. that was a mistake. its fixed.
