Awesome. Good find.
-
LPA has some info too

I love Mike's reaction to the Lady Gaga thing.

I'm very excited for this album. It appears as though there is one instrumental (judging from only 11/12 reviews).
-
That's a strong review. I'm excited.

Everything feels low budget to me

New Song maybe ?
LPBR posted this on Facebook: 25th of this month we will have a second new song to be released by the band! Still no name information. Wait for more information!
LPBR says a lot of things.

That hat...

I think this topic got a lot more out of hand than it need to be. First off, I honestly cannot say I know for a fact that LP uses backing vocal or instrumental tracks. I just know LP fans have their noses so far up their asses that I'm sure they tend to find out the truth haha. Second, I honestly could care less about what Dave has to say about other bands. He comes from a different era in music and a completely different style of writing music and performing. Thirdly, people need to stop comparing Chester and Dave's vocal styles and capabilities. Two very distinct and unique vocal approaches, and to compare the two is just stupid. Yes, Chester is a very powerful vocalist and has a wide vocal range on and off the stage, while Dave does not sound nearly as close to his studio recorded vocals. Does not come close to meaning that he is a shitty vocalist. He just has a different vocal range and style. He truly believes in the idea of going on stage, beating the shit out of their instruments, and putting on a good show as arguably the best frontman in the game, cause he arguably is. Finally, Dave also plays for an hour and fifteen minutes longer than LP live, at least, so people should hold their tongue and let Chester sing for that long and see what type of toll that takes on his vocal cords. People just need to accept the fact that not every musician shares the same opinion and sees eye-to-eye with everyone, and that both bands are one of the best to come out of alternative music so just let it go and enjoy them both. Or don't
Good post, very thoughtful.

I can honestly say this is the first time I can recall that Mike has blatantly lied in an interview/Q&A. They use prerecorded tracks for backing vocals on a TON of songs from ATS, along with a few instrumental parts as well. Their use of "several tracks of playback" has been confirmed in interviews with LP's production crew as well. Stay classy, Shinoda.
Damn

6-7 seems like a safe bet because it's the average of the songs. But I'm thinking 8-9.
-
$99 is ridiculous.

Pardon Me. /thread
Oh hell yes!

I don't see what his conversion had to do with this unless it was to a fundamentalist group of XN's or something...odd.

$111 ticket prices for the LPU sale.
Too high?
I think so.
-
Bristow is I think 30 mins from DC, or less.
Incubus is not playing at the first two due to a scheduling conflict, their manager says.
Hope the LPU doesn't pay fees either.
It's near 45-60 mins, maybe more depending on traffic and where you're going (metro, etc).
-
I don't think so to be honest.
I agree. They would have specified if that were to happen. Who knows, maybe a meet and greet pass.

It's just the tone of the article that pisses me off, like the author thinks he's the sole judge of what's "cool" and what's not. When you're writing about something that you don't usually write about and therefore you know is going to attract a different crowd (like this article), it's best to keep it more neutral than how the article actually sounds.
I think the author was trying to show that Linkin Park is "still cool" despite how long they've been around.
-
I don't know the answer to that but I think the question goes here:
-
I enjoyed the pictures and info on the new album, but as other people said before, this article is very poorly written.
I didn't think it was poorly written.
-
Both Bristow & Uncasville are indeed make up dates but are part of the Honda Civic Tour.
That's odd then...why isn't Incubus playing at them?
Just seems like Incubus should be there if they are "official" Honda dates.
-
Also check out Warning.

Great find and great read!

Jiffy Lube Live is a pretty huge venue and I imagine quite costly. With only two bands on the bill, that makes sense to me.
Remember that the Bristow date is not a a Civic tour date, but instead a make-up date.
