  1. I prefer it myself, would have like to have heard it properly mastered. I'm not opposed to guests on tracks but I much prefer it when it's just LP.
  2. I'm so over hearing this shit. Who gives a rats arse? Regardless of whether anyone in LP called authorities or not, Sublime with Rome were in possession of an illegal substance. Rock n' Roll or not. Stop being entitled little shits move on.
  3. Unless people vote with their wallets though, in the long term, we won't see DSP's. Sure, we might see them back soon if everyone keeps telling WB, the band etc, that they want them. But no business is going to operate something at a loss for very long. With that said, WB could pull their heads out of their arses and promote the DSP's better, like Metallica or RHCP. It's a two way street. They can't just expect word of mouth from fans to work.
  4. I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't selling too well. Once a handful of people pick them up, they get uploaded elsewhere (torrents, russian fansites.., dropbox's between friends) and everyone downloads them. Unlike the early DSP shows where people were like "Shit, I've gotta rush to merch and grab a DSP CD before they sell out" - now its just "Meh, I'll download it online somewhere later" From a business point of view, there is probably someone crunching the numbers and they've found its not worth the cost of paying Pooch and Dylan to mix DSP's, then the server costs, not to mention venues often fight for a cut of the profits too. If and I mean IF WB does bring back DSP's, everyone needs to make sure that if you want a DSP, you actually buy it and not torrent it. WB don't care about fan interest, they just care about sales. Thats the only way we'll keep this alive. (None of this is directed at you Mark, or anyone else lol, just talking in generalities. I know there are hardcore fans that buy all the DSP's) EDIT: I figure I'll get in and say this before other people try to correct me. I know on various occasions the band have said they support the sharing of live material. I even remember a few threads where the band were ok with DSP sharing. But if I recall correctly, management tried to remove all evidence of those threads. Which shows that, whilst the band is ok with it, management aren't. They can't make any money if people are just sharing the shows, rather than buying them. And at the end of the day, although LP makes the music, WB owns it... Bloody hell, I could be a WB rep.
  5. Can an admin edit the show page to reflect the info of Mikey's recording please? Haven't watched the whole thing yet, but is it incomplete?
  6. Ill download and seed this now, looking forward to the full HD version though! Thanks so much, this was a wicked show and I regret not doing an AUD recording that night, glad someone did
  7. Fully support this. Who is it being delivered to, and how? Email, post, even a petition?
  8. Is it worth any of us trying to contact this guy and see if we can get the original file, without the quality scaledown and the watermark?
  9. For anyone that wants a sample, here is Castle of Glass from the Sydney Soundwave show. I've literally only just got home from the airport, so I'll be going to bed soon. I'll have the recording up sometime by the end of the week. 10 - Castle of Glass (Soundwave Sydney)
  10. Could have been a messed up copy/paste job too, or accidentally dragging it up in word doc. Who knows.. Interesting quirk in the set regardless.
  11. Couldn't talk to him too long unfortunately. All I found out was no DSP'S. Whether they were recorded and not released or not recorded at all, I don't know. My guess is its the same issue we had around 2007; Warner and/or other companies involved in the tour feeling that the sale of DSP's affects actual album sales and company profits. If someone sees Pooch in Melbourne, maybe ask more?
  12. (@shadowfax1007) tweeted at 11:20 PM on Tue, Feb 26, 2013: @lplive LP setlist for Sydney 26 Feb http://t.co/n6RRrBCoBO (https://twitter.com/shadowfax1007/status/306378165226442752) Also, no DSP'S according to Pooch
  13. Yeah no complaints here about the set. I think LP got it spot on, it was a mixed crowd of people, so they needed a mixed set. Bit sad PoA didn't get finished but it's a festival so they get limited time to perform, understandable. In regards to the length, most bands sets were delayed and/or shortened due to the floods and such, so maybe LP chose a shorter set for that reason. As for the Channel V pro shots, yes they shot it but it's not a guarantee we'll see it soon/ever. Sometimes they hang on to footage for ages until they can do a relevant special. As for DSP's, I sincerely hope we get them but if not, at least there is a fan recording of the Sydney SW13 show..
  14. ^^^ This. The email was in my Spam folder too. Which I have no idea why, since all my other LPU emails come through fine..
  15. Thanks to everyone who has donated! It's truly appreciated. More photos, footage and even interactive before/after shots can be found here. And come on guys, enough with the nastiness. The thread is about helping people, not about shooting people down or comparing who has it worse.
  16. I understand what Gradon is trying to say, I do. Yes there are bigger problems in the world, but this disaster will be more than just water damage. Our coal, mining, farming; pretty much all our export industries will be indefinitely affected. These industries are huge, and a lot of Australians money comes primarily from Queensland. Without these industries, the wealth you speak of, doesnt exist. Plus, any loss of life is a huge loss of life. Sure, the death count is 15 right now. There are still approximately 70 suburbs and towns cut off from rescue workers, some places so badly flooded that the military is bringing in hydro-capable vehicles purely to find bodies - they don't expect much else. The death count can and will rise much higher. I don't want to argue this, and I don't want others to argue it, as it will take away from the point of this thread. If you can help, great - please do. If you can't, your well wishes alone are appreciated. If anyone has anything negative or not helpful, please just keep it to yourself. Back on topic please.
  17. Sadly we lost two more lives today. A body was found in a field and another man was sucked down a drain outside his parents home. The waters are SLOWLY starting to drop, and providing there is no more rain the worst of the flood should now be over. Now comes the months/years of clean up.. EDIT: And another death, making that 15 dead so far - army/search and rescue teams havent even begun properly searching for bodies yet, so its scary how many more deaths will be to come.
  18. Here are some aerial videos of Brisbane city taken earlier this afternoon. For those who aren't familiar with Brisbane, it normally looks like this: It's not just the city thats affected, most suburbs are under water too and up north is even worse.
  19. Should have clarified: We have lost 10 people, and about 100 are missing. 10 is still a huge amount for a country like ours. It's expected to climb. EDIT: Death toll just climbed to 12, but missing people dropped to 43.
  20. Hey everyone, I know I'm not involved with LPL much any more, but I'm still on here twice a day checking updates and the forums. As you may or may not have heard, we are experiencing some extreme flooding here in Queensland, Australia. There has already been massive loss of life, houses, belongings and other important services. Roads have been destroyed, businesses ruined, cars taken away. Almost every terminal for our water ferries in the city has been ripped away, our city is now as ghost town as all power is off and people evacuated. For anyone familiar with Australia, this is going to get worse than the floods we had in 1974. I myself spent most of yesterday, helping people evacuate and save there belongings, but no matter what anyone did, we still saw so much lose - houses, property, everything washed away in an instant. Thankfully my home and belongings are currently unaffected, although my family is stranded in different locations. Others haven't been so lucky. Things are only going to get worse. With a king tide expected this afternoon, which is predicted to last over 18 hours, waters will riser faster and higher then they have before. Things are expected to get progressively worse all the way into Friday. I'm reaching out to the LPL community because I know everyone is generous here and when they band together they can achieve anything. If anyone has anything they can spare, even just a few dollars instead of your daily coffee, it would be much appreciated! You can donate online HERE through our governments website. The link is fully secure and your details are kept private. At the time of posting almost 36 million dollars has been raised, which sounds like a lot but much more is still needed. You can read more about the flood here or on various other Australian news websites, which are full of reports, photos and videos. With any luck, maybe even MFR would get involved. Since I don't have admin rights anymore, can someone please move this onto the front page of LPL so that everyone hears about what we are dealing with. Thanks everyone!
  21. Agreed. If you see this Pooch or Dylan, keep it in!
  22. So no video was lost from OSC, just encore cheering/clapping? Too easy. Up to you, if you want to convert to XVID and upload for everyone, I can just download that source and resync the audio. Or if you want to post that USB with the uncompressed file, I'll edit that.
