Regarding the first point, dont want to keep bringing this up, but here is my post below. Wilderness started the factual talk. I wasnt confrontational, people just didn't like my opinion. I will be around for this new era, but it will always be bittersweet for me, a cheap imitation of the old LP. I thought OML was the perfect swansong, tragically and not intentionally obviously. I came at it saying i cant comprehend how people want LP without Chester, etc and so forth. Then i got a lot of nonsense replies saying its not up to me, its not my choice, im wrong, im factually wrong , blah blah blah blah. Thats fine, we are ALL entitled to an opinion. People acting like mine was silly because I dared to say LP without Chester isnt LP ( literelly, symbolically, sonically ) is where I get pissed off. Like really, my opinion is probably the majority from what ive seen all over social media

I do have a huge interest in LP though ( obviously ) ive been listening to them since i was around 10, im 34 now. I went through every album era, have been lurking on LPA and LPL since early 00’s, and have been a pretty active part of the community since. Im entitled to my opinion. Its not my choice, its the band. Im not pretending anything else. I can have any opinion i want on the matter, just like everyone else does. And mine is, it isnt Linkin Park in a literel sense or sonically, and you can all disagree or agree its a charged subject. I dont care what other bands have done.

Because regardless if LP released No roads left, in between, etc at the time CB was still the singer. it isnt LP with an album without Chester. Its pretty simple. im not here trying to argue with people, its a charged subject, but come on what im saying isnt hard to understand at all

i get it, i totally do, but i still grieve for Chester and for LP as they were. I know its not rationale and its an emotionally charged subject. Its just weird to me people would want a LP without CB. Mike is a genius and im sure itll be good, but when you lose arguably the greatest vocalist in the world, the soul of the band, like, what exactly are you wanting out of LP 2.0 ? Theres no real right and wrong here tbh

Wrong. It’s down to the guys to make the final say, yes. is it LP without Chester ? Sound wise ? No. Its not a matter of opinion really, the LP we know and love are gone.

Slightly off topic, but is GreyFox on reddit geki ? He is acting like he has some insider info saying that theres new material. ill respect whatever the band does, but it isn't LP without Chester. Im sure they will be respectful but you just cant replace chester sadly.

He said new linkin park coming. The offers for a comeback tour are significant. i really hope its just a tour and not new material

Some info for you. The scene in the FF video are not new. Well, alot of it. I've watched the scence before somewhere, ends with chester talking about what he wants OML to become if memory serves correct. im going to go try finding it

I dont get THP hate, or it being called boring, uninspired etc The album is melt your face off exciting. Never understood why it isnt considered by the hardcore LP fans a hidden gem and underatted, people usually shit on it. They could have just put Until its gone on this. Wonder if its because we might get a 10 year HP anniversary, doubtful but possible.

Assuming FF has leaked then. Has it premiered anywhere yet btw ? Asking as I swear I heard kerrange radio saying they were premiering Linkin Park shortly.

I dont hate any LP album tbh, but over the years I just find MTM the most repetitive. Each album is perfect when your in the mood for that particular style, but I just find anything post MTM to be the most exciting, partly because the repetitiveness of earlier albums. All good albums though

The hate/dislike for THP has always baffled me. Same goes for OML. We all go through album phases, but THP is way more exciting than anything on LT or M2M . I think the production was intentional of how it sounds. The solo in KTTK is probably the best they have ever done. Criminally underrated.

If they have to carry it on, i hope its as a 5 piece, i dont think anyone disputes it wont be done respectfully if they got a new singer it just feels wrong to add and not take if that makes sense. Completely up to them I guess. I think OML ( unintentionally ) was the fitting swan song for LP

You can be as sarcastic as you like, of course i value the rest of the band, but its like having a chicken salad without the chicken. MS and CB are the main components, cant be replaced, where as the drummer can be etc It sucks of course but its the truth.

Im firmly in the camp of there is no new Linkin Park without chester
