My first thought is that they want with this book to erase and replace “One Step Closer” by Jeff Blue. But there was nothing wrong with it! If you want a book about the early history of Linkin Park written from the memory of a man who was there, go for that book if you missed it. For me, it read like a novel that could be filmed like Bohemian Rhapsody. In Lipshutz's case, nothing is likely to surprise you.

Maybe in Korea they don't use Apple phones which filter out the crowd noise. -

I don't like that. Does it make it sound better? I don't know. At the venue, can you really tell? And on some recordings from the audience, it's going to come out as if she's lip-syncing. I never understood that. To me, vocals from a backing track is a no-no. Honestly, any instrument that you can play live shouldn't be played from tape. Why did Brad spend years playing that one note on the piano on "Waiting For The End" when we can play anything pre-recorded? -
Still, there were only rumors of them having a girl singer and the booking of shows. NOTHING about an album or a music video. I suspected maybe a new song, like QWERTY in 2006 and an announcement like “Guys, by the way we're entering the studio right now so look forward to more of this”, but it's all already done! I'm super impressed!

With My December returning and KTTK debuting, I wouldn't be surprised with anything right now. I'd love to see P5hng Me A*wy, Lost (full band version), Shadow of the Day, The Little Things Give You Away, more debuts from THP (All For Nothing, War anyone?), The Messenger. These come to mind. As a side note, if Brad ever wants to grace us with a special live appearance, even for one song, I imagine it could have been an entrance for a guitar solo during TLTGYA. It would have been beautiful, but that's a vision for the future. Oh, and my wife loves Battle Symphony, so let's get that too. Remember that Emily is also a guitarist. We'll definitely see her on stage with the instrument at some point. -

It might just be too hard for them. Playing One More Light and mentioning Chester every other song would be, like someone said, a major mood killer. Hollywood Bowl 2017 already happened. We'll never forget him. Telling the audience that they are signing for Chester for the entire night is very gracefully done. I can't even listen to OML (the song). When I play Papercuts in my car, I skip that track. I'm not ready for the rush of emotions when I go pick up groceries or visit my family. The only time I can do it is when I'm alone after a couple beers… Then I even challenge myself not to cry. Sometimes I manage to, sometimes I fail. It might even partially be the reason Rob left the band and Brad doesn't want to play live. Brad looked very upset for the majority of the Hollywood Bowl show. Or when Chris Cornell died, and they played OML on Kimmel's, he almost broke down looking at Chester towards the end of the song. These things are difficult. And the careful dosage of mentions of Chester is there for a reason. On the other note, I've finished watching the recording of the show. I'm surprised they played Breaking The Habit. I thought they retired that song. My December was beautiful and totally unexpected. They're treating us well. Friendly Fire sounded very good for what it is. Keys to the Kingdom is a dream come true for me. Great to hear that they are not done with The Hunting Party.

I love the camera shot from behind Emily's back as she walks onto the stage. No one is looking in her direction yet, and if you think about it, this was the last moment in her life when no one was looking at her. I like such significant moments neatly captured on video.

Brad Delson Issues Statement on Not Performing Live
TheUnicornOfPower replied to RogueSoul's topic in Newswire
I love Brad's look on stage and will miss it. The headphones, the afro, the red PRS. It's actually the thing that made me interested in this band and wanting to pick up a guitar. But have to say that in the later years he seemed much less energetic on stage. Sometimes even wandered off to the side of the stage while performing. From all the original members, I believe that he skipped the largest number of shows, being replaced with the roadie. Not that there were tons of them, but it does stick out. I have a feeling that it's health-related, though I might be wrong. I hope we get to see him from time to time. -

We are very spoiled by the fact that the band has gone through literally no line-up changes since 2001. This is very special and shows how dedicated LP members are to this band. If only for this reason, they have every right to continue their work, maintaining full respect and love for Chester. -

If the event will include some kind of performance, I'm curious if they took Lost, or Friendly Fire into consideration when creating the setlist, which are still pretty recent singles. It would be cool to be able to hear live versions of these songs. 😁 But if I may be tempted to make a prediction, I think they will play 5–6 songs during the event, safe bets + a new song: 1. The Emptiness Machine 2. Numb 3. Waiting for the End 4. In the End 5. Faint 6. Bleed it Out
