YES. God it's so funny. My co-workers weren't fans of this when we first listened a couple weeks ago, but I kept saying how awesome it was. I'm glad the fans agree!!

There's one song on there that could have been a Fort Minor ft. Chester Bennington song. That does not apply to the entire album, though.

Everytime I listen to the album with someone else, they take something different away from it than the last person did. I wouldn't read too much into what I say or what anyone else says. My best advice is to go into this with a totally open mind. Forget the other LP records, forget what you think it will sound like, forget the catalyst even. Turn it up. Listen to it front to back. Then listen to it again. You WILL find something about this album you like. I promise.

and if you're going to quote my love for cheesecake on LPL or LPA, please give me credit for that as well.

This is NOT the laser event. This is an album listening event like we did in germany last week. For this event, you have to email in. That's the only way. The for the laser event, you can either RSVP on LPU OR buy LPUX with a reservation for the event. DON'T DO BOTH!

I understand everything you're saying. I'm not going to be able to continue to respond to each persons post, but I'm listening to everything you're saying. All I can say is, maybe down the road we'll SHOW you why this is a good move. Nothing I can say or do now. Timing is strange I know, but our hands were tied. We wanted to launch this in a really cool way (NYC show/LA event), so that's why a lot more is still in the works.

The band WILL be there. The entire event isn't entirely planned out yet, but yes, the band will be there. It should be really cool. If you choose "confirmed ticket" is DOES guarantee you a seat.

Easier said than done. BELIEVE ME. Not blaming anyone for being upset. We can't please everyone. I know PLENTLY of people who loved the LPU7 CD. Management? What management? I don't think you realize how decisions are made. THE BAND came up with this idea, which is great because they know what needs to be done to really make it awesome. They're really excited to get this underway and make the experience better. Hopefully we'll be able to announce what I'm talking about soon. Until then, you can always order something from Amazon...

Another thing I forgot to mention... If you pre-order a monthly membership NOW, you WILL have access to the US pre-sale. Not saying that it will start in the next month, but when the pre-sale does eventually start, anyone who pre-ordered the monthly membership will be able to access it!!

Yes, the CD will be available to purchase. And... i'm going to PUSH for a digipack!! I'm just as sick of slipcovers as you guys are. No promises though, but believe me I'm pushing hard for it. The reason we used slipcovers in the past is for the Best Buy Packs, which will no longer exist.

Again... there are no more package memberships. We will still have exclusive merch available to buy, but it no longer comes with the membership.

And obviously, the reason I'm here is because I want to hear your thoughts on stuff. We really do want to make your experiences better. I'm not asking everyone to agree with this move. If you don't agree with it, I understand. I'll still be here to listen to YOU because you guys deserve that and I promise I do bring up YOUR opinions and views on everything we do. Thanks for the support throughout the years, and I really hope this is the start of the best version of LPU yet.

Ok, just wanted to address this again because I know a lot of you are upset. I totally understand. Here are my thoughts: This isn't an "Online-Only" membership. It's not that same old $15 membership that gave you access to a fanclub website most of you rarely use anyway. We've found that the majority of fans join LPU for two reasons... pre-sale tickets, and the opportunity to meet the band. If the ONLY reason you want to be a part of LPU is for pre-sales, we just made the option cheaper for you. It's now $10 to join for a month, you can buy your pre-sale tickets, and you don't ever have to log in again. If you're only reason for joining LPU is to meet the band, we just made your chances a little better. $10 monthly members won't have access to meet and greets or special LPU events and enhanced concert experiences (more coming on that later). Yes, it's more expensive. But that means the pool will be smaller so those of you who do decide to join for an annual membership will have a better shot at meeting the band and taking part in the other opportunities I touched on. Forget this idea that it's a more expensive online-only membership. It's not. How many of you log in to LPU just for exclusive content anymore? None, because the content ISN'T exclusive anymore. It can't be. There's not point in pretending it is and charging you for it. No, these memberships do not come with package items. Reading through messageboards from the last few launches of LPU, it seems a waste to put time and energy into trying to create and annual package that doesn't please everyone. Our resources are better spent making the experience better, and that's what we're doing. Again, I understand why many of you are upset. But the band is confident this really will improve your experience with the LPU. I'm looking forward to revealing some of the cool things we're working on, and I hope you'll be excited as I am.
