  1. Soooooooo November/December release just in time for black friday or christmas? Looks like we'll get some shitty youtube vids of a new song by October WooOoo! (SARCASM)

Wake me up when they announce North American dates or an album single

  2. lol at some people thinking fansites will have anything related to the new album or a single jesus..

If 3 sites are hosting it then it should be something sweet, props for all involved for giving back to the people who visit your sites. I feel like fansites do more for us then Linkin Park themselves ha

  3. 1. New Divide- Top 5 LP song ever for me. I love the lyrics. I love the breakdown towards the end. Its not your typical structure for an LP song. I still hear it all the time 1 year later.

    A VERY distant second.

    2. Across the Line- This song feels incomplete to me at times. I know it's a demo but i just feel it had the potential for more. Good song though

    3. Blackbirds- First impression was so-so for me. Just feels like a typical song lyrically from LP. There should have been more Mike.

    4. Lockjaw- The instrumental that had potential. Too bad its just a quick thing put together to test out protools, but it should have been used for something bigger.

    5. Not Alone- Absolutely hate this song. The only LP song I didn't even bother putting on my itunes.

  4. I dunno, I feel like that would be such typical LP. LP shouldn't always be so formulaic with the way they structure their songs. I don't think the song sounds like screaming would sound right in it too.

Agreed. I'm hoping Mike raps on the bride like in Forgotten or the beat just picks up to the chorus sung acapella towards the end. I'm actually just hoping for a chill track with no screaming. Chesters vocals on the chorus were good, i hope he doesn't randomely start screaming.

Off topic: lol isn't it amazing what these little snippets do to us. I wish I could brainstorm this much with schoolwork. Im drawing such a blank for a research paper I have to write ..lol

  5. Listen to the annoucement......""play through the game to find "lost" Linkin Park songs""....lost from MTM. Defo the 6th String song. I have a feeling this won't be "GREAT" but an...ok B side. Sorry. There's a reason it got voted off the album.

*waits for loads of LP fans to burn him*

Yeah your so right I mean Across the Line sucked right? (SARCASM)

    Imagine if m2m consisted of

    Wake

    Given Up

    Leave Out all the Rest

Blackbirds (judging by the preview it sounds like a chill track, another song with Mike would have been cool in between a softer poppy song in LOATR and before BIO)

    Bleed It out

    Shadow of the Day

    WID

    Across the Line

    Hands Held High

    No More Sorrow

    Valentines Day

    In Pieces

    TLTGYA

That would have been a SOLID album. I seriously don't understand why LP makes 30-36 minute albums and leaves out songs that had so much potential. I hope the new album consists of about =14-15-ish tracks about 45 minutes long. It's a pipe dream though

  6. It feels like we haven't had an LP song with Mike rapping and Chester singing since the Meteora days for me. BIO and Qwerty have that, but not like the way Blackbirds does. I can't wait.

Yeah I know the small clip of Blackbirds gave me a rush of nostalgia lol Chester sounds awesome in the chorus, it's a VERY hip hop beat and i'm loving that Mike/Chester are the song together

  7. No offense to anyone involved or any fans that like it but I wasn't into that episode at all.

Kinda tired of all these DBS updates, DBS this, DBS that...I'd like some solid LP updates.

I don't want to sound like a dick, but LPL's your site and this site feels like DBS updates this and that, along with Julien K, GBC, etc last couple months.

  8. In the Darkness exclusively on the New Moon soundtrack would have been a good thing for DBS. They would have got a lot of exposure that way. Its Chesters fav song with DBS ( according to his twitter), so i guess thats why he didn't budge

  9. this is the only new stuff that we have got

you can add to this list the new 8bit song.

I dont care if Mike works with Cypress HIll, with 50

all I want is new LINKIN PARK stuff. brand new, not remixed, no more demos, brand new.

Even from that list the only new song was New Divide. Across the Line, Not Alone are all MTM demos. Lockjaw is an instrumental that's been heard once or twice on my itunes, it doesn't count for me.

DBS is NOT Linkin Park, nor are any of those songs he's remixing. I don't understand Mike's logic there. Quite frankly, i can care less what the individual members are giving us musically. Linkin Park is what I want. I can understand if the album takes a couple years so be it I don't want to rush them, but 4 years is ridic, especially when other artists are making a ton of more songs in a fraction of the time, and yes some of them turn out better then LP stuff.

  10. No, Mike definitely said they wanted to put out "music" more often. We all assumed that meant albums.

    http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/articl...t_id=1003707157

Billboard article- Linkin Park plans quick minutes to midnight followup. Quotes from Chester, Mikeès been repeated the same sentiments in other interviews.

LP is full of $hit. I can care less about all these remixes. lol @ someone putting down What Ive Done distorted remix as fresh material we have been getting. 4 years is too long for 12 songs.

  11. lol no no Mike, Linkin Park said they would produce ALBUMS faster.

No one gives a shit about remixes their doing with other peoples songs. We want LINKIN PARK material. Only good things so far are New Divide and LPU9, which has been awesome, but 4 years to make an album is pathetic.

Michael Jackson made Thriller in 3 months.

  12. Okay, okay. Down your tension, dude ;)

Know how u feel but just let it go. I got cursed out via PM and labelled as troll because of a Julien K comment ( lol all i said was 'who cares') by a mod. I mean just read my god damn posts do i troll?!?! I visit this site daily and even told Lp'ers to check it out. Thanks for that shit guys and u know who u are../end rant

  13. I don't take the half way done question seriously. When Mike was making comments that the album would be out early 2010 a while back, that means they were barely done yet correct? Yet he still had the confidence to make that statement. On top of that, they've narrowed it down to a handful of demos, i think there just in the studio ironing out lyrics and recording vocals really. Also, record labels set deadlines for artists to put out an album so they can start a marketing cycle for the project. i hate how fans just think LP will release an album whenever they feel like it, it's not always that.

At the same time Chester touring with Dead by Sunrise for January and possibly February worries me.

  14. I was part of some LP group on facebook. Hahniator spammed our group and said to check out lpplive.net lol And I did, the rest if history. That was a couple years ago, i was a lurker for a while before i registered.

One thing I like about this site is that it really feels like a FANS site. Lptimes, lpassociation, etc etc are just very formal and posts the most recent news thats worthy of a headline. You miss a lot of things here and there that big fans like me want to see and read.

Lplive I feel just has a good grasp of letting you know EVERYTHING thats going on in the LP world. You guys do it in a simple way, and each news headlinefeels like a conversation going on from post to post. I think that's a nice touch.

Also, i'm a live junkie so it's cool to get updates about their shows.

Easily my fav LP fan site. I visit this site daily..

  15. Men lie women lie but numbers don't!

Side note for hip hop heads: Pretty cool as an Eminem fan to see him way up there. All the hype around Jay-Z, ( even used his quote), and Em's sold more albums then Jay-Z's whole 10+ catalogue spanning 14 years with 2.

  16. I don't get why everyone is saying Across The Line doesn't seem like it would have fit MTM. I think you can definitely feel the MTM era when listening to it...

Yeah it could easily fit in there with HHH and No More Sorrow
