As Billboard reports, Mike Shinoda will be contributing a new comedy song he wrote to the Apple TV+ comedy show "Central Park." "Apple TV+’s acclaimed animated musical comedy series Central Park kicks off season 3 on Sept. 9 with a slew of new songs contributed by returning collaborators Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, Regina Spektor, Rafael Casal, Supercommuter and Mike Viola. Additionally, new guest songwriters on the 13-episode season include Jesse Carmichael & Samantha Shelton, Open Mike Eagle, Ester Dean, Helen Park, Mike Shinoda, Emily King, Germaine Franco and Garfunkel & Oates. Hollywood Records will release Central Park Season Three “The Central Track Sound Park” on digital service providers on Sept. 9 to coincide with the new season. It will include songs from the first three episodes with new songs released weekly." We are not sure when Mike's track will be released or which one of the 53 tracks it is, but we will keep you updated. On June 5, 2022, Mike posted in Discord, "Oh, speaking of TV or whatever, I may or may not have written a COMEDY song in an animated show. But it'll probably be months before it comes out."

This would be believable if there weren't 10 million versions of the album. Someone, somewhere was trying to make as much money on this as possible. The entire marketing campaign from only using Chester's photo on all streaming platforms until called out, selling Chester LPU photos, etc all apply to this as well. The dude is an ego maniac.

Donate Now? Not bid? lol

Mike is exactly right when he said the song is bad - the snippet on Archive is really quite bad. Choosing Dialate over Deftest for HT20 was a smart move.
-
It was not us as the site, that's for sure. I'd absolutely tell you if we bought it - we did not buy it.
-
The tracklist issue is a good question. The samples are legit, so they mixed the tracklisting up either to us or on their own page. However, Deftest just doesn't sound good. No wonder they didn't want it release. The page to buy it won't accept any current bids, so did someone buy it in person? Do we even know what's going on with this?

This guy seems like he is genuinely full of bullshit - his story doesn't check out. He has that photo with Mike which is photoshopped and all of his other photos came from Meet & Greets. His timing that he says he worked on stuff with LP doesn't make sense either. I don't think this is authentic.

If you find a link for that, post it here.

They haven't done a ton of promo for it yet, but we will add stuff as it happens (interviews, track by track, etc) with info.

Mike provided a brief update on the band today on Twitch, when he said, "The only Linkin Park news I have for you is - yeah, we talk every few weeks, but there’s no tours, there’s no music, there’s no albums in the pipeline. Let me just tell you that. So just keep in your minds that that is not happening." You can view the video here.

I check the site like once a week, if that, lately. Will move it. -
Agreed with Trumtram. It can still be a legendary album without winning a Grammy. That Foo Medicine at Midnight album is groovy as hell. Pretty solid.

Shit like that is one of ten thousand reasons the band gives people to be pissed off at them. Literally no reason to block alternative versions of songs when those aren't even the ones being released.

You need to have more patience. Absolutely nothing is going on in the LP world right now and there is no touring, so we aren't checking Got News twice a day. Just so happened I was gone yesterday doing work stuff and didn't see this until now (if you'd check the account, you'd know there wasn't a login on this one yesterday). Moved it today. -
Definitely understood on the first point. Did not realize he said any of those things. Have only seen him say to not get into it if you don't know what you're doing or don't know about NFTs.

Literally don't care about the NFTs, have not followed it at all. Thought it was so weird Mike sold a 37 second clip of One Hundredth Stream for $36,000 and all of us thought he was selling the actual song in full lol There isn't any real downside to him doing NFTs for the LP community. He's releasing music and has made everything available musically to everyone that he's sold as NFTs. So why does it matter that much to us? He pissed off the gamer community but that's their problem they have with him about coming up with hypothetical futuristic situations. He preaches all the time about like, "don't get into NFTs if you don't know what you are doing" to the LP fans. In that regard, he isn't being careless about being a "leader" for some folks in that area. Just don't see it as such a huge deal when he's always been interested in new technology for pretty much the entire history of the band. We don't pay it any attention since we aren't interested. Some people may like it, so that's fine.
-
Did anyone else catch the quoted replies to Mike on Twitter about NFTs? Mike recently struck a nerve with the gamer community over his seemingly innocent speculation about NFTs for gamers, bringing in an oddly significant amount of backlash. Anyone have any thoughts about this?
-
It's really not worth us having different titles for every LPU CD, we just keep it all the same and can put photos of them. Of course they change like the numbering from 9 to X, then 15 to Sixteen, etc... blah.

Hey everyone, To help out a friend, we are trying to find a specific video that was posted on Instagram and other social media sites in recent years. We are having trouble finding it again. The video is from the 2007-2011 era, when 'Shadow of the Day' was in the setlist. It features Chester, Sean Paden (Brad's guitar tech), and Kurt Schneck (Mike and Chester's guitar tech) side stage, and Chester is very excited, jumping around talking about how much he loves a specific black guitar that he was playing. If you have any leads on the video, please let us know! Thank you!

While working on Linkinpedia's Fort Minor song pages, we came across a news article from 2005 that said Mike gave a shout out on a mixtape song by an artist named Trek Life. After tracking down the song, we have uploaded it to our YouTube page. The song is called "Freestyle Audio-Live & Amad Jamal" by Trek Life, from the 2005 mixtape "Keep the Receipt." It features a shout out by Mike Shinoda at the beginning of the track: "What up ladies and gentlemen. You are tuned into the sounds of Trek Life, working hard over here in the city of angels. My name is Mike Shinoda, I'm coming at you straight out of Fort Minor. Big shoutout to my man Kevin Sakoda. Kev, keep the receipt big boy, peace!" The mixtape was released on September 18, 2005, during the Fort Minor era. You can download it for free on his Bandcamp page: https://treklife.bandcamp.com/track/freestyle-audio-live-amad-jamal
