  1. From Mike's website today:

"Hey everyone! I've been locked away in the lab for a while, in between a couple summer trips. So many exciting things planned for you. In the meantime, I posted a new piece of art--you can find it in The Bazaar. For those of you who are Zig holders / digital art collectors, you can use your keys for a discount, as usual."

  2. It's time we address the "Bleed It Out" posts the band is making along with other activity.

    Bleed It Out

Linkin Park, who has been notoriously quiet for years outside of the Hybrid Theory 20 and Meteora 20 box sets, the Papercuts celebration, random merch drops for anniversaries, and a few other fun posts, has started posting about "Bleed It Out." As fans have noticed, "Bleed It Out" was the only song not upgraded to 4K with the release of Papercuts earlier this year.

As such, Linkin Park has now months later in August begun posting about "Bleed It Out", with a series of clips - behind the scenes, the making of, live in Berlin, and rehearsing for SNL all four days in a row. As fans of the band know, LP is not a band to just post randomly on social media - there is a purpose to whatever they are doing. Could the video upgrade finally be coming and they are just teasing that? Or is there more to the story? Four days in a row with a post about a specific song means something is definitely up with the track.

    Other Rumblings

Interestingly, Live Nation posted about Linkin Park for the first time in 7 years (the 'One More Light' era) this past week. Additionally, Sonic Temple Festival in Ohio posted about Linkin Park the very next day, saying, "Anyone else missing Linkin Park today? One of the most influential bands of all-time. Thank you Linkin for all that you have done for music and millions across the globe. Chester - Your legacy will never be forgotten."

Sonic Temple is run by Danny Wimmer Presents, the promoters of Rock on the Range which Linkin Park performed at in 2015. One of the partners in Danny Wimmer Presents is Danny Hayes, a former long-time lawyer for Linkin Park (even pictured with Xero). Ashley Shuman, executive assistant for Danny Wimmer Presents, commented, "Linkin Park is such an iconic band to so many of us. Their songs really hit you in the feels and listening to them always takes me back to my teenage years. Chester will always be missed."

All of this follows earlier reports in April of this year by Jay Gordon and Billboard that Linkin Park is looking at a female singer and is also fielding offers for shows.

Are the back-to-back posts by Live Nation and Sonic Temple just coincidences, or is there more to the story with them? Only time will tell, but we are keeping an eye out for more activity from promoters and more across the board.

Got bittersweet feelings when this kind of recordings resurface. On one hand it's great to have them, like a new piece of history. On the other hand, it's like the LP world is stuck in the past, like an eternal loop of 2000/2017, and I feel like the entire world is on 2024 and we're stuck.

I hope someday they announce anything and we can move on...

    Just a feeling, nothing else

    Yeah exactly

Thats why i always way that im tired of waiting.. Continue or announce the breakup ASAP.

7 years waiting for an answer.

Other bands have taken significantly longer to continue than 7 years.

But it looks like they're touring next year, so let's see how that goes.

  4. Going months without watching anything from LP and then coming and seeing this... damn. Truly an awesome show. Chester is just one of a kind and so, so fucking epic.

The crowd is second to none. Kind of an emotional watch with how good they were live.

So much for the "Limited to 1000 units, grab it while you can" thing.....Dick move by WB.

It get's better. BOTH of the "Exclusives" are for sale at their store with no conditions applied: https://store.linkinpark.com/collections/media

Talk about a kick in the balls of every single collector who rushed at these.

But they really did only run 1,000 of them, right? So the fact it is for sale again is either from returns or refunds or not delivered, or whatever. However all of that works behind the scenes.

There's no reason to believe they didn't keep it to 1,000.

Jay Gordon hasn't done anything else with the band besides one song in 20+ years. Why did he open his mouth now? Even with the rumors having some kind of veracity, I was very confused by his out of nowhere statement.

Watch the video interview. He is very disengaged in the interview and is like, texting on his phone, doing other stuff, not looking at the camera, etc. This is why he's trying to deny (lie) that he even mentioned it or said anything in the first place. It was super casual and he may not have even remembered it was being recorded on video, who knows. he makes a super off-the-wall comment about it when saying he loves LP but he probably thought the interviewer wasn't going to quote him on that. It wasn't ever like he was trying to break some news or something by having an inside scoop, he's just like "best wishes to them, love them, heard they are going the female singer route and hope it works out for them." It's less of "hi I am Jay and here is groundbreaking news" and more of a casual random comment when saying he likes LP and didn't mean to cause a huge ruckus with it. He seemed not super engaged in that interview at all.

So go (presumably) from AAE to WME? In addition to the agency, do they also change the agent (intended as the person responsible for booking)?

Their former agent was with AGI. Arfin was who did LP and isn't with them any longer. This claim by Billboard is out of left field for the public, but is verifiable, which lends to more credibility in their article. They are sticking by their writer Dave on this and his sources.

What happens next will give more context to this article. If there is a big LP announcement on the horizon, this could have even been leaked by a PR machine at the label or band to control the narrative that is in the press and to drum up 2025 offers. Who really knows - not us, at least yet. Ha.

What does this generally imply for the band beyond "They have a reason to need a new agent"?

That's really it. They are fielding show offers and there's no reason to doubt the legitimacy of that, but there isn't more to it other than they see a need to have a new show agent. Which is honestly very surprising considering they had the same guy 2000-2018 before this and Mike was with him too. So, they see some sort of need to change it up.

    Beyond that, let's see.
