Drop - Lies Greed Misery, Given Up (they have Heavy is the Crown already), Crawling and BURN IT DOWN.
2026 Wishlist - With You, Breaking the Habit, LOATR, they need to re-introduce Burning in the Skies, bring back Roads Untraveled, Rebellion.
The only strange decision I didn't like were the inclusion of that horrible "DARKER THAN BLOOD" single to the set, dropping GATS from the setlist, Welcome in a LINKIN PARK set? C'mon.
Wait when they make another album with Emily, all these flat songs you mentioned will be replaced in the near future. All CB catalogs will be reduced. rare ones like APFMH, FROM THE INSIDE will stay.
Mike is a Metallica fan, The Black Album could be a perfect inspiration for LP to push that heaviness to a whole new level. BOB ROCK is the perfect fit to produce that.
What they need is to re-create the foundation of HYBRID THEORY sound but sounds like in 2030? They achieved that with A THOUSAND SUNS. Though From Zero is the closest thing we've got but it is basically re-visiting XERO era, hence, you have glimpse of Fuse.
Another direction that I want the band to experiment is the 80s SCI-FI, retro-futuristic theme like Muse's SIMULATION THEORY.
Or basically, I just want them to make a great collection of songs. Each songs are produced by different producers with minimal input from SHINODA and DELSON and LINKIN PARK acts the EXECUTIVE PRODUCER.
So as LIVING THINGS, A Thousand Suns, One More Light, RECHARGED were all Mike's. The only project that the band were really involved in the process were Hybrid Theory, Meteora (thanks to Don Gilmore for making back to back hits) and Minutes to Midnight. First 3 records feels more like the band really worked hard to make a great record. Plus, From Zero feels more like a group effort which is great.
Please come to Australia, LINKIN PARK!
We had a pop-up store held here in Sydney last November 15 but it's sad that it never featured on any LP's reels.
