  1. Lol to me Syndrome and In Time on Amends are like 9,5/10 and the originals are like 7/10. Can’t stand Sickness and Shouting out originals, I find the instrumentals terribly demo-ish. Yeah opinions 😊 it’s super subjective
  2. Don’t agree on the 2 you mentioned, these are among my favs on Amends and god tier, but totally respect your opinion 😊
  3. Agree on everything you say except for the fact that I like Amends versions more than the old ones but I respect your opinion and obviously don’t think the originals should be “deleted” or stuff like that. Anyway, can’t wait !!
  4. Yeah it’s great news, the live on IG got me hyped. Go check that out because I’m sure I missed something because it was laggy and English is not my first language. Plus, at a certain point the tatto artist started working and the noise was louder than Sean’s voice 😂😂
  5. Yesterday Sean Dowdell live streamed from Grey Daze official Instagram account. He got a tattoo on his hand in honor of Chester and answered some questions by the fans. Here’s a recap of the most relevant answers. - the first single off the new record is coming in the next 90 days. - they already have title and cover for the album but can’t share yet. - the album is heavier both vocally and instrumentally than Amends. - “Starting to Fly” will be a single and it’s totally different from the original song. - “Hole” Is different from the leaked 2018 demo. - Lily and Lyla (Chester's kids) are singing on a song. - Richard Patrick from Filter is on a song. - “Holding You” features Dave Navarro and has a different title. - The band will release the original records on vinyl at the end of this year or in 2023 (the live stream was laggy at that point so I could not properly understand everything). - He and Chester wrote lyrics for 5 songs back in 2017. - There’s probably going to be a third remix/ rework record but they’ll see what material they have left. - The new record is 10 songs. - His favorite LP song is Lying From You. - Some songs contain different vocal takes from Chester. You can find the full thing on Grey Daze social media, I’m sure I missed something so check that out yourself! 😉
  6. They ste re-releasing both records on vinyl by the end of the year or in 2023, Sean just said it in a live stream
  7. Lol. Worst Mike collab ever besides Grandson
  8. I think there are a lot of demos from THP and OML era since we basically have zero THP demos and only WAYW from OML. I hop we'll get them sooner than later but we'll most likely wait literally years to get them. As someone said before, it's very unlikely that LP comeback will be a LPU CD with demos
  9. Yeah !!! That’s the vibe. Like, listen to the “standard” version of Richard Backman, the instrumentals remind me of Xero A LOT
  10. Ziggurats is very close to this style
  11. The only thing that it's weird IMO is that they are releasing old school GD stuff in parallel with the "reworking/remixing" project begun with Amends. All good, don't get me wrong, but it's strange
  12. “My friend Sean”, I don’t know him. Anyway, I personally don’t care much about this version or the date (with all the obvious due respect to the poor Benish, God bless him). Don’t get why everything Grey Daze does gets scrutinized in every single aspect and harshly criticized, just listen to the song if you enjoy it or ignore it if you don’t like it, that’s my POV.
  13. I went through phases with this project: 1 oh again NFT shit; 2 oh it has rapping in it, I’ll check it out; 3 ok the preview sounds cool; 4 MIKE FUCKING SHINODA IS BACK. lol
  14. Do you really care THAT much ? I agree they should have called it “1997 version/ take/whatever, but is that really important?
  15. I’d really love something like this but bigger, like, a proper EP, 6 tracks
  16. I love the beginning of Cheat Codes, sounds like the best of Dropped Frames mixed with a Living Things demo. It has something of that LPU demo called “Animals”
  17. I think, personally, this format is perfect. I mean maybe a bit longer like 4 full tracks running for 3 minutes each, but a full album of, say, 12 tracks with a 30+ minutes length would probably be too much for this style. Anyway, love this project, some of the best bars by Mike in years
  18. Same does Mike sometimes when he messes up 1997 and 1998 lol
  19. Thanks! This EP also reminds me a lot of the vibe/style Mike adopted in 2016 for that verse on “Like Riding a bike”, with many pop culture references (damn Daniel! Apple/Spotify ...)
  20. Sean wrote on IG “the first of many more gifts to come”. So we’ll have more stuff too!
