  1. Oh me too! I know LP filmed every album process (besides HT, maybe?) But one day we will finally get to see behind the scenes of OML and all that went into it's process. I just want a making of for that album, also for THP that would be so sick. At least we got LPTV's. But yeah all those colors in OML make it their most colorful album sonically. I am sure i'll continue to hear little sounds or quirks in the mix i didin't hear before as the years go by, that's what makes a pop record fun, more so Mike's pop production cause it's Linkin Parkified, as Pheonix would say. Lots of layers to pick out inside of a very polished, well thought out album.
  2. woah i love her energy and sound. I personally hope this is all true about a female lead. Females bring an energy males simply cannot, not even Chester, I'm sorry bit it's just true.
  3. I know it wont ever happen but i seriously thought the singer from sum 41 was a great fit after that faint performance with shinoda. He has a great tone for Linkin Park moving forward but even he knows he's no replacement for chester which i agree, but still his tone is very fitting IMO for the band's music.
  4. You've got a keen ear for audio engineering if you can pinpoint such small details like this. I noticed it's then used in the ''fire'' chorus section, so i believe that drop hit is a blended snare sound to help set up in that moment the chorus snare, cause it's the same ongoing sound from there. That had to be a mike move, because i learned this technique from Mike and apply it to my songs sometimes. Every other snare, I'll add a sampled layer or a reverb tail or something so the snare doesn't sound to redundant in its tone.
  5. haha! Good thing I am in the middle of making a new EP so It was simply getting a rip of his acapella from the OG track 4 weeks ago off YouTube and working some studio magic around his vocals.
  6. Here's what I did with Chesters Acapella
  7. Yes but there’s always room for improvement. It’s not like he’s stuck where he’s at and can’t go any further. Plus, do we really know what Brad can really do? He only sang on one song.
  8. Imagine brad stepping up to the plate doing lead vocals on more songs, harmonizing with Mike and the rest of the band. If thy bring the right elements forward and make an album around those elements they could def pulled this off, while it also being focused for the live environment.
  9. I agree about GATS being a huge curveball after ATS and Living things.
  10. Actually LP doesn't even have a qwerty video on their official channel, right? This could mean something huge for the song. I am happy that holy grail is getting more time in the sun.
  11. I really like the song on first listen. I think this should have been included, not replacing anything else on OML. But i understand why it wasn't on there. I think this is one of the most special songs melodically by Chester. It's a really colorful track with great energy.
  12. Personally, i see no issue with the title nor the album cover. ATS is pretty basic, but it worked. I think the band went with something simplistic because i's recognizable to all generations of LP. It makes sense, plus ''Papercuts'', if that really is the title, seems like the band knew Chester's favorite song was papercut, so maybe it's to honor him for that and if that is the case, that's pretty awesome. Chester freaking loved that song, i think he would have loved the title to.
  13. lol imagine calling it quits and being upset over an album cover and title... just completely throw yourself out the window lol xD And disregard the music inside.
  14. Ughhh this is so cool to wonder about! Also, i don't know if this is really happening but to hear this youtuber mention ''Out Of Reach'' is really cool to hear. Seems like there's a lot of talk and were prob going to get a secondary single. Fingers crossed!
  15. Ehh, honesty just talking about these things is what makes these hype trains so fun. While we’re all on board we might as well.
  16. Someone probably has more info than me on this but the last I recall of this song is what Mike said at the Hollywood bowl and that’s a maybe! My curiosity is spiked regarding this song and its future. It would be amazing to see it make its way to the airwaves as a finished track during the return of Linkin Park.
  17. Now to think of that, it would be such a badass but also original (has anyone done this before?) way to release a new comeback single. How else do you get the attention of EVERY era of LP fan there is to say ''Hey, here's why you loved us, but here's a chance to stick around''.
  18. I only saw this as a window of opportunity to share this cover of A6 i rapped on with Matt Se7en where we also wrote to complete the song using some original parts. Maybe you'd find it interesting!
  19. This last year really was massive for LP fans. We have been so blessed and nobody saw that only a year after lost we'd continue getting new LP music. I don't care what Era they throw at us, or in this case, all at once with the greatest hits, as long as we have more new LP music for years to come.
  20. I want to clarify why i don't like Alits. It's a great track instrumentally, the thing that made me hate it was Chester's vocals... and the lack of melody and even mixing in his voice. It sounds like Chester was just yelling at the mic rather than singing with aggression. The melody used is a bit too static or underwhelming, not sure how to describe it. It feels like the instrumental and even Mike's rap part and singing are all great moments paired with something so lack luster, like a missed opportunity by Chester just like Drawbar was with Tom, you know to really shine their best on such a track. So, really i blame Chester's parts or whoever wrote them (mike prob, or somebody enlighten me here). If Chaz had sung something more melodically catchy while still keeping that aggression, we all know and love, this would hae been my favorite song on the album easily. I guess i was just dissapointed overall. If someone else's ears picks up the complete opposite, then I envy you lol. Wish i could hear it the same but i don't.
  21. For me, it came out when I was a junior in high school and at that time, metal was my favorite genre of music so THP really satisfied my cravings for heavy music and for LP to return to some familiar territory. It’s got some incredible moments on it. I only skip over War, and A line in the sand, those songs are boring.
