  1. To be honest, I don't know why they should change their name seriously? We know that Chester was a huge part of LP and made the difference between LP with or without him. But Linkin Park is not just a band. Linkin Park is a damn big brand and as commercial as it sounds you can't just change a big brand such as LP. Of course commercial matters are never above tragedies but the name "Linkin Park" is still their live even though they just named themselves after Chester joined.
  2. I probably said that a thousand times. If I am such a hardcore fan and after a long break, LP finally performs again - No matter what the hell they are playing, it could be the slowest or heaviest and shortest or longest setlist, I'd be glad to see them on stage after such a tragedy. No one can expect them to perform, to be honest. If they say we are done, they are done. But if they decide to perform as 5 then the last thing you should do is to complain about their damn setlist, cause it is already tough enough for them to be on stage without Chester.
  3. Again, no way LP takes some random dude from YouTube who made good covers of LP songs. They rather take Oli Sykes from BMTH than dudes off YouTube. I mean, LP is not an underground band where it doesn't matter too much who their singer is. But if they wanna take someone else, they take someone who is well known in the buisness and already have great live performances. Personally, even Aaron from Of Mice&Men is not a bad choice, if they decide to 'replace' Chester. He already sang LOATR and that he can scream (Of couse Chester irreplaceable when it comes to screams) is not a question since he screams all old Of M&M stuff I still take the option, that Mike take over, even if he often said that after Mark left that they don't think that he alone is good enough.
  4. What Slipknot did when Paul Grey died....that's sad and though to watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1q9Ub7y52g
  5. https://www.facebook.com/vh1india/videos/10156709962331164/ The last girl: "I still think that they could go on and become something that will make Chester proud" Well said in my opinion... and reflects my opinion too
  6. Yep, go without the bridge and you bring some heaviness to the Setlist. By the way: Is it ok to not only write custom setlist but also discuss them here?
  7. All For Nothing could be played too. Remember when they first wrote AFN, Mike sang the chorus with gang vocals in the background
  8. Totally agree! They are not some random guys, who made music over the past waht? 20 years. They are friends and they know each other for their whole lives. And now that there is - sadly - no Chester anymore, it is time for Mike to step up. No pressure, but I rather have Mike in the spotlight than someone else who just recently came in. And songs like ITE still will work. Fans would be happy enough to see them perform after such an incident and sing as loud as the possible could. And even though their future is unkown - even for themselves - they already wrote in their statement that their can't really think not to make music and perform. I think that this is the best option, but as Geki and others said - it is up to the band not for us fans.
  9. I don't really see them taking some random singer who they might not know. It is a higher risk than taking someone who is 'well-know'. They rather take Aaron from Of Mice and Men (I like him and he is a good singer and screamer) than some random cover artist from Youtube.
  10. Wow, the legendary Elton John pays tribute to both Chris and Chester, he met them both not a long time ago.. https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/4128883/elton-john-pays-tribute-to-linkin-park-star-chester-bennington-after-his-tragic-death/ https://twitter.com/IamStevenT/status/891697751603396608Steven Tyler from Aerosmith
  11. Corey is such an amazing guy !
  12. To be honest, if they choose someone, they probably take a singer who they know and friends with. Aaron from Of M&M is someone who can do both. I mean you cannot replace Chester 100% but he is a good one and already played LOATR with the band back in 2014!
  13. A lot of people would think that this is a disgrace and brings bad light to the band for not respecting Chester. But to be honest. Me as a fan would be already happy if they perform. Whether it is a 25 song set or a 16 song set. They can't allow themselves to now get under the rock and don't speak to their fans (Besids from their social media). Now that Chester is sadly gone, all of us fans would scream his parts even louder. Again, it is not up to me what they do but I really wanna see them continue and whatever way. No matter how long their break might be.
  14. That's true. If they would know that they need 2/3 years off then they would have canceled these dates already. They probably gonna cancel these too
  15. And they are lucky enough to have such a talented second singer/rapper with Mike. Of course, a lot of songs are written for Chester but other bands could not even think about doing and performing more music, cause they don't have another singer.
  16. I think that it depends on who they would consider. For example, if they take someone like Aaron from Of M&M then it is a good fit, at least for me. He can do both singing and screaming and we already saw what he can do on the last ballad medley. But it's up to then band what they do, but I really hope that they continue making and playing music.
  17. They played a song too, just found the video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msVRRj6NYdo Billy Talent: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3K0OI_6aR4&t=113s
  18. I rather think that the other 4 guys will come over to FM, if they don't feel that they can continue under LP without Chester. With FM, Mike was always the 'lead' vocalist and it is possible that they think that this is the easier way. On the other hand you have 'Linkim Park', the name itself is legendary and do they really wanna set Linkin Park aside. They probably have a bigger support in terms of the amount of fans knowing Linkin Park better than Fort Minor
  19. Robbie Williams - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPTzNeaPWwM
  20. I think that fans will be happy to see them, no matter how many and what songs they play. I would not care what songs they play. I would be happy to see them play and perform again. It would be a whole different scenerio if Chester is with them and then they play just 16 songs or so. Now that they sadly lost him they must realize that they have to be happy that they even perform. I hope they continue !
  21. So right. I still can't imagine that Chester wanted the other 5 to stop making music. But they need time to figure that out and need them to give them that time. Personally, I can see them making music with Mike as lead vocalist, he is capable of doing that. Performing live is a whole other scenario since they depend on Chester's voice.
  22. Totally agree. I don't think Chester wanted Mike and rest if the guys to stop doing music. They have to do something. They have the talent ! But please take a break for 3/4 years.
  23. So many question...it's tough. What wanted Chester for the rest of the guys? I can imagine that he wants the other 5 guys to continue and be free and continue making music. They can use their talent and luckly they have Mike, a now really good singer and rapper. I would not want to make such a decision...
  24. The thing is that I don't want them to waste their talents...Of couse Mike could do his FM thing but what's with all these other guys? I know that this loss his hard but they still can write songs as 5....It is easy to write but technically they are capeable of doing it but it is a question whether they wanna do it or not.
  25. This is so tough to answer. They can get a new singer, it could be OK for most of us fans but I don't know how that feels. They could go on as 5 making music in 4/5 years only with Mike as their lead singer. I know that this sounds crazy but we know how good Mike can be - One problem is that most of their songs were made for Chester and not for Mike. You cannot do this like A7X where they put a 10 second playback into their live set, because their former drummer is not there anymore. I don't see them 'breaking' up. This is not even the right term. They are not a built boyband, they are friends who know each other for their whole live. I'm really curious for their statement. I see them taking a long break for 2/3 years and then decide what to do.
