  1. only some general info but worth mentioning : "Joseph used to work for me and I had Mike stopping by my office and I had him do some graphics for me. I helped joseph hone his skills by getting him with some Beat JunkiesI helped them get themselves together as a group (Xero) and would introduce them at places like The Whiskey A Go-Go. The Troubadour and The Mint here in L.A." did you talk to him as well ? (that amazon seller that those guys bought vol.11 is not responiding to messeges though)
  2. np man, I'm really happy the rest of you appreciate it I'M TALKING WITH LEE CADENA AT FB ATM, I WILL LET YOU KNOW IF I GET ANY INFO ASAP !!! edit : sht he just went offline
  3. Do we have any response from there ? I can't help with that, my free time is limited atm but im sure some people would be willing to help. _____________________________________________________________________________ My Research Daily Update: I have sent 29 pms in total to people associated with Rapologys. The 12 im still waiting are 3 sellers and 9 people who worked at Rapologys. I have gotten 16 replies from sellers, but unfortunatly nothing worth mentioning. I today i got a reply from a guy, named Lance Whitfield who did some artoworks for Rapologys back then: "I'll take a look and see what I might have. Will have to check in my storage and let you know if I can find anything Give me a few days"
  4. i think you should do that at the same time i'm waiting for responses cause I believe most of the people involved at Rapologys won't respond, and most sellers don't know a thing so...
  5. My Research Daily Update: I have sent 29 pms in total to people associated with Rapologys. I have gotten 14 replies, all from sellers, but unfortunatly nothing worth mentioning. The 15 im still waiting are: 5 sellers and 10 people who worked at Rapologys.
  6. do you keep messeging record stores ? good thought even though it seems unlikely they will give any info but its worth trying My Research Daily Update: I have sent 23 pms in total to people associated with Rapologys and have gotten 11 replies back all from sellers, but unfortunatly nothing worth mentioning. The 12 im still waiting are: 6 sellers and 6 people who worked at Rapologys.
  7. it's a shame though i mean i sure when he heard Fiends & Drop he was like daaamn *nostalgia* so he and every band member of every band should have the files of all there songs.
  8. Ask him if he has volume 12 , and if he can sell it or give it to us, and if he can send us the tracklists of volumes 11-12-17-18 (just in case there are more than volume 12's Closing) That's a good way to find I believe there is a strong chance we'll find it that way, i'm trying to reach out sellers and people who worked at Rapologys throught the internet so we kinda cover everything we can
  9. 1: I don't have an ebay account either so if someone has he could pm that guy. 2: He is not a seller, he is the one who did the mastering at Rapology i have already lent him an email but if someone has LinkedIn he could contact him throught there as well : https://www.linkedin.com/in/stu-jacobs-69699113/ 3: Already contacted him. 4: I have pmed about 25 Rapology owners, but i have gotten about 5 responses and they all got it randomly, if I get anything i'll let you know Bonus: Atm since im done with the owners of Rapologys I'm trying to get in touch with people who worked for those collections.
  10. Also, could you tweet Mike asking if what we are looking for actually exists, and if so, if there are more of those tracks ? i tweeted but its more likely to reply a tweet from you https://twitter.com/AndrewMariolis/status/840686251271426053
  11. I'm trying to get in touch with more people connecting to Rapology, you know one leads to another, so i'll get some more info soon enough (i hope)
  12. so i got in touch with Mtume Salaam (the guy who sold vol 13 & 14 to Almamu) this is what he told me : (if you want me to ask him anything else let me know) "From what I can tell, Mike Shinoda was friends with Lee Cadena, the guy who was the Executive Producer of the Rapology series. I don't know anything more about the relationship other than it seemed to be more than business based on a shout-out Lee Cadena does on one of the Rapology tracks. It sounded like they were friends, but I could be wrong. I discovered the Linkin Park / Kenji / Mike Shinoda connection by Googling and following links online. Mike Shinoda is also credited with Illustration for Rapology Volume 16. I just updated that listing to reflect that credit. That's all I know. I hope it helps.... I don't know the original year of release for any of the Rapologys. But it's fairly easy to determine it. Those discs were created as in-store play CDs for new rap records. Emphasis on the word 'new'. Therefore, if you Google the songs on the playlist, you will be able to tell which year the CDs came out. " ________________________________________ "I am the same Mtume Salaam that used to work for Warner Bros. back in the day and I did a fair amount of music journalism and writing too. That's how I ended up with the Rapology CDs - they were promotional / industry-only CDs. Never intended for commercial release. I don't know a thing about Linkin Park specifically though. ...Those other Rapologys you guys are looking for will turn up eventually. Those CDs were fairly common back then - they pressed a decent amount of them. Of course, a lot of disappeared over the years, but they'll turn up sooner or later."
  13. hadn't thought of it, but you are totally right, what could be better than getting 3 more Xero songs for the anniversary right? Ontopic Note : Is there any way we can find who is the one who uploaded the track list at lastfm ?
  14. damn im so proud of myself hahaha just kidding we can do it, come on, go go go
  15. ITS GOTTA BE RAPOLOGY 12 CHECK THIS OUT : https://www.last.fm/music/Urban+Network%27s+Rapology+12/+tracks TRACK 2 : Xero - Closing : https://www.last.fm/music/Urban+Network%27s+Rapology+12/_/Closing+-+Xero
  16. what is your source that Mike went by the name Akira ? the collaboration you are talking about is the one with The Visionaries?
  17. -First of all good luck with no.11 -We found out that Lee Cadena continued having relations with Xero as Hybrid Theory as well, so i wouldn't knock out the idea of further collaborations as HT 1999+ -You should try "#12" cause thats how no.31 is credited -Something he haven't thought about is that their previous collaboration could not be in the "Rapology" series but a differnt collection of Urban Network. (examples : "Unsinged, Unsealed ,Undelivered" no.4 or more/ "The Urban Network Tune Towne" / "Future Jams") ___________________________________________________________________________________ "i'm fed up and i'm doing all i can do to move to a deserted island and make my own shit out of coconuts and bamboo" lyrics from Drop, now check this link out : http://www.allmusic.com/artist/mtume-salaam-mn0001870947 Mtume Salaam is the one who sold the cds at discogs where Almamu bought them from, do you think its a coincidence ? I'm trying to get in touch with both Lee "The Crusher" Cadena and Mtume Salaam for any further info, wish me luck!!
  18. good to have a comfirmed date i cant find Joe anywhere mentioned as Artofficial, i dont doubt he is, but no proof of it. I think we should start Fiends lyrics too, anyone up for it ?
  19. So here are some things to discuss : -I'm trying to get in touch with Lee "The Crusher" Cadena who is the executive of the cds, so if i accomplish it let me know what would you guys like me to ask him -Who is Artofficial: at the back cover says "Kenji & Artofficial (of Xero)" does that mean he was part of Xero as well, is he Joe Hahn? -The year of release as I said it's probably 1997 or early 1998, any proof of anything about the date ? -Do you think "F/" stands for Feat. and 007 is SoB manager ? -Who does the backing vocals in "Fiends" is it Mike himself or Mark or someone else ? -Who is up for writting the lyrics for the songs ? -Literally any info about Rapology or Urban Network. -Finally which one did you like the most : Drop Vs Fiends
  20. not really check Slip, its dated at 1998 even though its a Hybrid Theory demo thanks mate we indeed made a great discovery
  21. As the one who discovered these songs (i posted the original thread) https://www.reddit.com/r/LinkinPark/comments/5xb1t1/urban_networks_rapology/ here is some more info about the tracks: https://www.discogs.com/Various-Urban-Networks-Rapology-13/release/9521613 https://www.discogs.com/fr/Various-Rapology-14/release/9622841 I first found them at discogs, if you click on artist the links will lead you to Xero's and Mike Shinoda's pages, further more both collections credit Mike Shinoda as the graphic designer. also the songs are about 1997-98 even though there is no info of it, thats my belief due to the fact that Rapology 16 was released at 1999 and since Chester joined at 1998-99 (its not sure, at interviews they say 99 but they have released some Hybrid Theory demos at LPU's that are from 1998) these demos should have been released at about 97-98. *Note: Xero's song is called "Fiends" not "Friends".
  22. Well There Are Some Tracks That It's Possible To Be Theirs I've Attached Them Below But Nothing Is Official
