  1. All of you saying Andrew played bass on Pictureboad for sure cause of circumstantial evidence. None one you saw this? “And so started playing with this one band. And we traded music and got together two or three times.”
This could easily be from them “trading music” and thats just all he had left from Xero so he uploaded it. That’s the most logical explanation to me. Im not saying he couldnt have played bass on this, but with the evidence we got, id say this is more likely.

  2. Normally I would agree that there wouldnt be any songs with Mark on vocals. But if you take a look at all this promo, you see the Xero name allover. So I think we might indeed get a couple Mark songs. Personally I wish we get Esaul with Mark.

To those people talking about “Much-Too-Easy” By Myself demo. “Much-Too-Easy” is a fan given title. The demo was most probably called Super Xero as most By Myself demos, so there is a chance this might be it. Honestly I would love it to be it.

I really think this release is going to be great, but im afraid we might be setting up the bar too high. Everyone is almost certain we are getting Chester’s audition tape and Pictureboard and I dont wanna be let down if its not it. But Im sure it will be a good release anyway. Ive never been more hyped for any such thing.

Agreed. "Thoughts That Take Away My Pride" (which probably has a real name to it, but that's what we call it, from the Meteora era) is number one. Friendly Fire number 2. That is, if they release Pictureboard. We have no idea if they will even release it or not.

Yeah I agree, i dont think an OML song could be the new holy grail. Not that I dont like OML but usually holy grails are old songs, from bands beginnings, especially for a band like LP where most people are HT/Meteora era die hards. Μy no1 guess for the next holy grail would be Thoughts That Take Away My Pride as well. Other possible ones could be Grecian or Be Yourself since it was always speculated not to actually just a jam. Also if one of the HT Demos we recently saw in Mike's PC doesnt get released in the 20th aniversary edition, i aslo see that as a candidate.

It was random stuff he made up on the go. There is no way you can add anything 😂

Thats a pity, I though it might be like partly true or based on a greek myth or something.

  4. Can someone point me to the part he talks about Xero name origin?

"Someone asked the origin of the name Xero but Mike told a made up story about Greek mythology."

Im Greek so itd be super interesting for me, maybe I can add some stuff to the story too for all yall.

  5. I think its safe to assume that this is indeed true for at least a couple songs. Most probable songs imo would be Pictureboard, Slip, Esaul, Reading My Eyes and Stick N Move. Its safe to assume these are songs that the band worked both as late Xero and early HT. Another thing is that the 3 Rapology songs were released in 1998 which would not be that far chronologically from early HT era (especially Fiends). But lets take intro consideration the assumption that they were indeed working on an album or an EP at that time (which is very possible considering they put out an EP within less than a year Chester joined). If they did so, I dont think they would "spend" album tracks in compilations, so I think Rapology songs would be left outs anyway and that they stopped working on them after their release. There is also the Xero Reborn song, which if actually a real demo, was worked on by both Xero and HT since Chester knew it, so thats another possible one. From the Xero Tape i think only Fuse was stopped been worked on before Chester joined, as far as we know at least. Most of these are just my ideas and opinion and not actual facts.

And maybe, but let's hope it's a complete song

Scott (a sessional bassist they had during HT era before Dave came back) said so. Me with Xero Hunting Team contacted him and thats what we got.

BUT he has given false info about LP in the past so its not 100% trustworty.

Thats way Im saying there is a big chance that it was played only as an opening to another song, but its not 100% either.

  7. Well DBS dont really have a reason to though. I mean Grey Daze songs are very old with poor production and recording and most people dont even know about them.

So there are obvious reasons to remaster them, the old recordings are meh.

Whereas DBS was done with exellent equipement, it sounds like Chester wanted it to sound, and it did have some success too.

I mean would like your idea for sure, cause why not, just saying that there is not really a reason for DBS to do it compared to Grey Daze.

I’m glad Chester has joined the band because Mark was nothing special and they would get Lost with him in the crowd easily. I am glad they decided to work with this demo until they got the final version because this song trully got something in it from the very beginning.

I agree and disagree. Yes Mark was nothing special (we was "OK" ig) and Chester is 100 times better. But Im not sure the band would get lost in the crowd, cause its their uniqueness that made em special not only Chester's voice. Of course it was a huge boost and with Mark they wouldnt be the band they are today, but I think they would still have SOME success, not mainstream though but maybe they'd be "famous" in the Rock/Alternative scene. And another thing that made Chester a big asset to the band in comparison to Mark was his hunger for success, Mark left cause it wasnt rll what he wanted to do with his life, while Chester was hungry af to succeed in music.

Reading comment's seeing some desperate people hungry for the demo. Won't y'all let the admins do what is right or do what they gotta to do.

There are no recent comments asking for it either here or in Xero Hunting topic.

It is going to be released when its going to be released and people have realized that already.

There is a different between discussing the song and pressuring the admins to release it.

We all know that admins are doing their best to release it :)

Man, those demos from that era must be really good. It Goes Through/Luna is a good song. LP was going to have a solid collection of music from that genre if they didn't make THP. And it sounds like a much more natural continuation of the sound after Living Things (which definitely had some experimental sounding stuff) instead of the hard turn to THP.

Maybe they revisit that sound in the future... it suits Mike's singing capabilities for sure. We're lucky they can make music in so many genres which helps them continue in the future.

It Goes Through and something like Promises I Can't Keep go together pretty well.

That's true that sound was solid, they could have released an EP of that era.

Are there more songs from that era released or leaked? (except the ones featured in the movie and the soundtrack)

Maybe "Change" are "Truth Inside A Lie" from LPU13 Sessions and "Can't Hurt Me" from LPU16 are from that era. Any other ideas?

Ostrick's asking price has a lot to do with his own perception of his success too. He was just getting started in his career when he did Lockout, but he went on to produce the 24: Conspiracy series and a bunch of stuff for Shark Week on Discovery. He basically thinks that because he's had a successful enough career to have a Wikipedia page, his work is worth whatever he says it is.

I also think it's possible that he doesn't actually have the footage anymore and doesn't want to admit it, which is why he keeps jacking the price up every time we start getting close to what he asked last time.

Yeah that guy is crazy though if he think someone would pay 50k for that. I mean Id have to be a multi-millionaire to spend that much for those tapes, we dont even know if they are good, or if they have unheard stuff. Supposedly they are 2:30 hours long so thats something but still 50k is way to much even for his career. He aint no Martin Scorsese. Itd be sooo funny if he doesnt have the tapes. The whole LP community is dying to get their hands on these tapes for years, itd be a huge troll if he doesnt have em in the first place lol.
