2015.05.17 - Columbus, OH - Rock On The Range
arasLP replied to RogueSoul's topic in Previous Show Discussion
How did it fail to succeed when they even made a live video of that song? They may just want to give space to other songs from the album like Final Masquerade and now ALITS. It's obvious they cut UIG from the setlist since it was played in the first part of the tour for THP and there is FM now. Two soft songs from the album in the same setlist would be too much, I think. -

I'm so happy for ALITS, I'm really really excited! That's all I was waiting for. Now that they're playing ALITS, I'm fine. I just hope they don't drop it at least until the end of the whole touring cycle (so after Europe). Even better if they'll keep it forever but that's just a dream. I'm looking forward to seeing the full setlist for the next show, I hope they keep playing Final Masquerade and some other songs from THP like GATS or Rebellion. -

I'm not sure they'll add the new song for this show because it is a shortened show. I still hope it's ALITS, btw. -
I love Drawbar. Best LP instrumental (on an official album, at least). This episode was a bit boring though. I understand why people don't like Drawbar anyway, I expected something different from this collab too and I'd like to listen to the other jam sessions they had with Tom. Even though I think they could have made Drawbar even without Tom, I still love this instrumental a lot, it's deep, introspective and perfect for the transition from MTG to Final Masquerade. I'd like to see an episode about ALITS.
-
I really really hope it's ALITS. This song HAS to be played live.
-
What song from THP do you want LP to add to the setlists?
arasLP replied to hahninator's topic in Live Talk
Definitely ALITS! I also like Mark The Graves, but ALITS is my favourite from THP and deserves to be played live. I agree about BIO, it's time to change the closing song, maybe coming back to OSC again, which is perfect to close the show, or even Faint. I like the live version of BIO a lot more than the studio version, which is a little boring, but closing every show with BIO is becoming boring too. Too predictable, something we are used to now. I think the greatest encore would be: ALITS A Place For My Head One Step Closer -
Oh, I've been waiting for that for years and years and I think it's never gonna happen, unfortunately. I don't know what's wrong with Italy, but this is the first time we get 2 shows in the same touring cycle, which, I guess, is due to the great success in Milan... before Milan, we didn't get concerts easily. I just hope we'll become a bigger place to play than before, so that something like arena show could happen, but I doubt that. Thank you I know Linkin Park Italia, so I'll check it for sure
-
Yeah, it was a big surprise!!! I woke up and read the news about rumours of LP in Rome and I was like... wtf, really??? I didn't expect it! I'm not sure if I can go to Rome, but I can't miss this one so I am really trying to do everything I can. I need that ticket, in my hands.
-
Yeah, Italy! I have to go there, I'll do everything
-
I hope for Italy There are already rumours about Rome, but there is nothing sure. If LP are really coming to Italy again, I hope for another city, not Rome, but it would be fine anyway, I just wanna see them again. Edit Rumours get stronger and stronger it's almost sure.
-
I hope they come back to Europe, there's Italy waiting to see them again
-
Relax!! I know they are not gonna do it, I was kidding, I'm not stupid. I just didn't like the setlists anymore after all this time, can I? It's a personal opinion. Don't be so angry, I didn't say anything bad to deserve this, please. And I didn't even know very well how Chester broke his ankle, now I read what Mark wrote and I regret what I said before. I just hope Chester gets well soon or even if it's gonna take months, I just care about his health.
-
Or a better setlist for the next shows.
-
It's bad that this happened in a tour LP made so to be more closed to fans of cities where they have played long time ago or never before... it's also horribly ironic... I'm sorry to say this, but this is the truth... it's really horrible and I'm sorry for everyone who wanted to see them. This THP tour is a fail... setlists sucked, now Chester's injury... well maybe it's better if they rest a little bit and prepare something new for future shows while Chester recovers. I just wanted to say that I don't like people throwing shit on Chester for this... but I also need to say that Chester should take care more about his health especially on tour... playing in a dangerous way like a child and breaking his ankle isn't the best way to do it. It was the first part of the tour, all he should have done was getting ready to rock onstage. Anyway I know how much he is sad to have disappointed his fans so I'm sure he will be more responsible next time.
-
Tour canceled, confirmed in the official website.I'm so sorry...
-
Yeah, but Brad is almost like e zombie onstage, he doesn't run like crazy like Chester does xD just kidding anyway... let's hope it's nothing serious
-
Thanks a lot for the explanation! I hope Chester realizes how dangerous is for his health playing other shows now and takes and appropriate time to rest. I really don't want a glued to the mic-stand Chester forever, his moving around like crazy on the stage is one of the things that make Chester such a good performer. I do care about his health.
-
I hope Chester heals soon... he should really take care more about his health, he always gets sick or hurts himself! Poor Chester btw, I understand the frustration of people with tickets for cancelled shows, I would really be upset too but.... Geki... you saw them 19 times! I saw LP just one time, last year.... you can't react like a child and say bullshit about Chester only because some shows are cancelled. Be pissed off, but without throwing all your anger against the lead singer of your fav band who has a fucking broken leg... I don't know if you have an idea of how much a broken ankle can hurt. Chester played last night, but the doctors probably told him to have his anke cheked before deciding whether to continue the tour or not. You are lucky enough to have seen LP 19 times... There are people who have never seen them, I know people that had the chance to see them when they came in Italy (and LP come to Italy once every 3 or 4 year, not every year like in USA) but couldn't because of exams, health or whatever... you're way luckier than them but you can't see it now because you're angry and upset. I'm sorry your shows had been cancelled, really sorry, but please, stop throwing shit on Chester... we all know he cares a lot about his fans. I still hope they don't cancel the whole tour btw, so that you can see them

THP tour = The Hits Party tour. Now it makes sense.
-
I'm not expecting any surprise. I've already given up hoping for new songs or other changes in the setlists. This are the setlists they want to play for this tour. That's it. I'm disappointed but there's nothing to do. Of course I wouldn't call it a THP tour since only 3 songs of THP, and always the same ones, are played.
-
This set B is very disappointing. I was expecting a new song for set B or at least Rebellion and some more changes. Set A and Set B are almost the same. LP are lazy. And this encore is the worst ever, I hate it. Almost all shortened songs and this shortened songs are songs like BID... horrible. Almost a year with the same fucking setlist almost everybody has already seen. They'll probably keep on playing the same setlist since Asian and Australian people haven't seen it yet. Yeah, another year with the same setlist. I could even stop following LP tours until 2016.
-
6 minutes? They could really add ALITS but... it's not gonna happen I still hope it anyay.
-
I'm happy that APFMH and FTI are back in the setlist, but I agree that they cannot play just 3 songs from THP in what is called THP tour. 3 songs were ok in the Summer European Tour, cause the album wasn't out yet. Now it's time to promote the new album and 3 songs are absolutely not enough. It doesn't make sense to me. Hardcore fans may be enthusiastic, but this album deserves more room in the setlist, at least in the year of its promotion. LP should care more about their new albums and less about what casual fans want them to play, otherwise they will play the same songs forever and they could even stop making new albums, if they end up not playing new songs. I want to see all THP songs be played live. Btw I think that there is set B, so maybe they'll play War and Rebellion in that set. I'm looking forward to seeing set B. I would drop Runaway, New Divide, Crawling and Given Up to make room for new THP songs like KTTK and ALITS. They could even drop The Ballad Medley (although I love it), cause it has nothing to do with THP energy. With this changes, 3 or 4 songs from THP could easily be played.
-
I'm very disappointed by their laziness about setlist changes. I agree with Mark and I cannot understand how playing the same setlist for a year can make them enjoy the live shows and put energy and excitment in every show... if I was in a band I would be bored by playing the same shit over and over again, without surpises, even if it was the best setlist ever made (and it's not LP's case). They're using excuses to justify their laziness but it's just ridicoulus because we, as hardcore fans always up-to-date with setlists, know the truth, we know what they did in the past and what they don't wanna do nowdays, we know what they could do. They're not making a good impression, for sure. And I find it weird and funny that LT was a weaker album but had better and full of energy setlists, while THP is a better album, visceral and so on but they never change setlists and they play soft stuff like COG experience (even though I like it now that it has ATS speeches), shortened stuff, without playing the fucking APFMH everybody wants and without big surpises. If this album was written to be played live, it's time they fucking prove it. They should put other 3 songs from THP (or 2 + Drawbar) and some cool stuff like APFMH, NMS, BTH, By Myself, WTCMF. With a cool rotation of setlists they could do it without having to cut too many songs they feel the need to play. And it's time to change the structure of the whole setlist. I like it, but this structure divided in acts kinda limits them, IMO, like it needs the presence of instrumental interludes, a specific order of songs, I don't know how to explain what I mean, but this setlist's structure prevent them from adding or cutting songs as required. New year, whole new setlist, this should be the right thing to do. I like the idea to vote setlists... of course we all know that casual fans would vote for singles so the setlist wouldn't change that much, but there is the chance to have them play at least 2 or 3 different songs that they usually don't play. I also think that they could include the chance to choose 1 song for every show as a bonus for LPU fans. If LPU fans can have benefits like early entry and M&G, why can't they also choose a song they really want to see played live? Or, if it's too much, they could at least give them the chance to choose a song they want for a tour and than choose another song for the next tour.

2014.11.07 - Amsterdam, Netherlands (LPU Summit #12)
arasLP replied to hahninator's topic in Previous Show Discussion
Wow, I didn't expect those surprises, especially APFMH and BID with a different style at the summit. Finally something different, even if small things, but good. They should do it more often. Unfortunately I think there won't be other surprises in this tour, unless they realize that for 9 German shows they should better do something a little bit different.
