Love the song, and it’s incredible we got this AND “TTAMP” (Lost). Both “holy grails” from this era.

I know that even if LP continues with a new singer, (which will admittedly be VERY divisive in the fanbase) I will support them anyway. I support them also if they want to continue as a 5-piece. I’d even support them just releasing vaulted material & calling it quits afterwards. They are in an impossible situation you guys are right because every choice they make is going to have some form of backlash. But I’m confident they’ll figure it out, Phoenix says they’re not done, so. Guess we’ll see? Hoping for something this year, but it’s foolish to put a timetable on it when he says they literally don’t have one.

Thank you! Must’ve missed that.

I hope we will hear vocals in demos like Wesside, Resolution, Healing Foot, A6 and Massive. Maybe "Soundtrack" and "Rhinocerous" have vocals but didn't make the cut: "And even to this day a lot of the songs on Meteora are some of the best songs we've written and they're the most fun to play live and unfortunately Rhinocerous didn't make the cut but it was certainly part of the journey to get there." Brad Delson about "Rhinocerous".
When did he say that? Did I miss something?

Unpopular opinion, I do like those kinds of questions, sheding some light in the darkest corners. I don't think it makes any favour to portrait Chester to some kind of a perfect angel. He was a human being, with his faults and positives. I mean, some reactions I've seen from the fanbase everytime Chester is mentioned is just... cringe (guys, I don't mean ANY of the members of this forum!!)
I agree with you. Chester was human just as much as the rest of us. I always found some of the reactions I’ve come across as weird, It’s cringe as you said. Yes, it sucks he’s gone, but at some point you gotta… I don’t want to say get over it, because I’ll be the first to admit I sometimes still get sad over it but it’s more fleeting than actually wallowing in despair. But the way people are making him out to be is not who he was, because honestly nobody is.

More the Victim is Cumulus!
Blew my mind when I heard this. Cumulus is my favorite LP Meteora instrumental demo and it's amazing that it got vocals.
Fighting Myself (from what I could hear with the talking) sounds like it'll be an awesome track.
Not really sure why they aired these songs so early in the process but I'm not complaining. Very glad actually, I thought we'd only get Lost and maybe another song like in March.

Very awesome run down! The amount of knowledge about LP you both have is amazing. I think you guys know more than the actual band members themselves 😂

Over what? It isn't better than anything that made the album, right? Nobody's Listening maybe?
Yeah, probably Nobody’s Listening. NL was always better live than the studio version. It’s just amazing to finally hear this after wanting it for so long. I love Chester’s vocal performance on this song so much. I think that’s why I like it so much.
-
after about a day & a half of hearing it, I think it’s an amazing song. Should’ve made the album IMO.
-
This is so nice I agree! Wonder what else LP has planned. I pray they live react to another concert, like they did with HT20 & San Diego 2001. Bonus points if they do an unreleased one

This is a really big release, it’s ATL/Primo/NRL level of holy grail, maybe bigger. I wonder what impact would have had if it was released with Chester alive.
Agreed. This song is amazing

LP is very experimental, and do a wide variety of things and there’s a ton of songs that do things no other LP song does, so honestly it probably doesn’t have to do with vocals. It’s a possibility that it received vocals at one point.
My favorite early Meteora demo currently is tied between “Halo” and “Cumulus”.
Another thing I’ve mentioned before, the demo “Cumulus” made it to the final process of the album recordings, as it’s on the song board at NRG. so clearly it’s got to be another unreleased song we haven’t heard, and I think there’s a chance the final product became either “Fighting Myself” or “More The Victim”
Hope your theory is right and we get to hear that, Cumulus is my favorite Meteora instrumental demo as well. Didn’t know that it actually got vocals, that’s a nice catch!

My thinking is that the LPC voicemail thing is a fan project that’s happening to coincide with the Meteora 20 celebration. We probably won’t hear anything new from that, but on the plus side tomorrow we’ll see (or perhaps even hear) something official from the band anyway.
-
Man, they really went all out on this one. Even more than Hybrid Theory… you have 4 unreleased live shows in video and 2 in audio, and Nottingham will have the 2 songs that we didn’t have previously. Shame it’s only on vinyl 😕and then you have the making of Meteora & perhaps a sequel to the making of Meteora. And the demos too… art book, sticker set, dear god.

The anticipation is killing me lol! Hope it gets announced in the next few days. Can’t wait to hear what these songs sound like. Interesting that they’re (potentially, if Martinez is correct) including a full Nottingham 03. Quality on the broadcast CD is killer. Wonder if we’ll get any video, and if so, of what? This is very exciting

This is really cool! I hope one day we’ll get that Vegas recording. I highly doubt it, though. I’ve tried getting in touch with the taper before…
-
Holy hell, this is so good! Really does scream modern Meteora demo….

I wonder if they have material for the MFR 2005
A ProShot or at least SBD Audio from that show would be so good.
We have a really nice 2 cam mix of the show, so while video would be cool, I’d prefer something unreleased completely. If I had to pick a show with collision course songs I’d pick the Roxy 04. SBD audio would be nice for MFR05 however.

I downloaded it and looks like mainly a 2cam mix of close crowd and balcony angles plus a few other angle(s).
Thank you! I’ll give it a download, why not?

The live shows in the box set are incredible. My favorite show is Denver, Chester is going insane on every song. Highlights of that show for me are Figure.09, with Chester’s insane roars, ITE when Mike goes into the crowd and fans start pulling his pants down. “I don’t think Mike’s ever been violated like that before” LMAO. Intro of APFMH someone throws a condom on stage & then the bridge where Chester says “Daddy’s on board now”. Philly is awesome too and there’s a moment before Papercut where Mike mentions that fans were cheering when girls took their tops off and he says that “I know we can’t compete with that, but can we get ALMOST as loud as that?” Seoul is epic to have because it’s such a long set, highlights for that show for me is the performance of Nobody’s Listening & My December in the encore. Crowd is going CRAZY. Manila is great too & while lacks some of the highlights of Denver & Philly (in my opinion) is still an incredible show. Overall I’d rank it:
1. Denver
2. Philly
3. Seoul
4. Manila.
I’m not disappointed with any of them at all & I am SUPER happy that they not only released them but released them uncut.
