Ahh man I can't get enough of Keys To The Kingdom and All For Nothing, such an incredible start to an album, so glad they didn't release those two before the album leaked in full.

how are people saying they don't like A Line In The Sand?! It's one of the best songs on the album if you ask me!

Not sure how people are saying things like this is DEFINITELY the BEST EVER Linkin Park album... I mean seriously, after one or two listens how can you make such a conclusive statement? I'm guessing those same people hated Living Things before they even listened to it... Just listening all the way through for a second time and really enjoying it.

Thanks for the help, found it on iTunes, my quick views: Keys To The Kingdom - interesting, definitely punky, in a strange way it reminded me of The Offspring. Starting off the album with such a fast paced, direct song is definitely a good move in my opinion! All For Nothing - follows on from Keys To The Kingdom nicely, Mike is awesome on this track, his rapping is very hip-hop, again I love the energy! It's awesome. Guilty All The Same - liked the track as a stand alone, following on from the first two it seems a bit random at first in that it doesn't blend in smoothly but it's the third song in a row that's loud and fast. Good Let's continue... The Summoning - not much to say here, that's fine, it's only a minute. War - hmm, similar to the first two tracks with its energy, Chester screaming throughout, it's different, not my favourite. Wastelands - wasn't a huge fan of this when I heard it for the first time but the more tracks Mike raps on the better! It's definitely growing on me. The instrumental towards the middle-end is a bit weird, to me it sounds strangely unfinished/rushed. Until It's Gone - arguably the most familiarly LP sounding song on the album, Chester's vocals on this track have grown on me. An obvious choice for a single I suppose. I really liked the ending of this song but then Rebellion comes in with a completely different sound, weird. Rebellion - I'm hardly the biggest SOAD fan but even I can hear the influence on this track and I mean that in a good way! I don't know why Linkin Park decided to have features on an album for once but it's an interesting twist, a cool song for sure. I like Mike's vocals here, I'm glad LP are taking advantage of the fact that Mike too can sing, it just adds a whole new element to tracks; the song on the Mall trailer sounds fantastic, I can't wait for that too. Mark The Graves - long intro, slower than most the other songs, probably my least favourite song so far... Progressive but a little bland for me, Chester's vocals not that exciting for me. Drawbar - instrumental, slow but actually really beautiful. Quite an emotional song, I like it. Final Masquerade - another song that sounds like a single, not bad, a more traditional LP sounding/structured song, one of the few on the album along with UIG. A Line In The Sand - more Mike singing, nice. Starts slow and gets heavier, Chester sings, then Mike raps, this song has a bit of everything, it's another emotional song, I'm excited for the lyrics to this one. In fact, this is controversial but Chester's vocals are arguably the worst part of this song, which is not to say they're bad. Overall my first impressions are positive, a lot of people thought this album would be somewhat of a return to the "old Linkin Park" whatever that is, but for me this is anything but a safe album in that sense, but then I wasn't expecting this to be Meteora Pt. 2 or anything... I like it!

Pretty good actually, I feel like I've been one of the more negative people with regards to the album so far but I like this. Not even a huge fan of SOAD but yeah you can definitely hear the influence and overall it's a cool song. This album, for a combination of reasons (things Mike/Chester have said in interviews etc) is being viewed as a "return" to the "old Linkin Park" but based on the songs so far it seems a mix of the old and new, which, is kinda obvious. It's hardly Hybrid Theory is my point, and that's fine. Not because I wouldn't like that, but just because it was never gonna be HT.

Interesting, very positive reviews for this song compared to the other two from what I'm reading - for me it's the opposite, this is the weakest of the three in my opinion, it just seems a little boring, simplistic. The rapping is cool and I'm glad it's there etc but the song just isn't getting me hyped, it just seems a bit simple.

Wastelands seems a bit boring from what we've been given imho, the song on Mall sounds really good though!

Everyone who likes ATS, I'mma let y'all finish but I just wanna say that Meteora is the greatest LP album of all time.

As expected the song is growing on me already, hearing more layers now that we have a high quality Spotify version, the individual instruments/vocals etc are more noticeable/separable (for example there seem to be some backing vocals that I hadn't picked up earlier) And yes, cool outro as someone mentioned. I think this is a "solid" track but with all the hype surrounding the album I guess we expected more. This song to me sounds like it would be great in a movie, I thought of Transformers straight away but I don't know if they've announced yet whether they're even making a song for the new film/whether it'll be a song from the album. Also, I'd imagine the outro is the intro to another song which sounds awesome! EDIT: the outro sounds awesome!!! Really excited to see/hear what that's all about.

As an instrumental I enjoyed that, I was worried how cliched the lyrics would be as soon as I heard the title/reviews but I suppose you'll always have that given it's a single. It's not an incredible song, and I've noticed over the years I'm normally VERY pessimistic/underwhelmed when I first hear LP songs so considering all that, I think this is alright. Also, not since Meteora (perhaps MTM) have the singles from an album been my favourite tracks on the record so I'm just looking forward to hearing the whole thing.

Haven't read all comments on this thread so sorry if this has been said, but... anyone else think "until it's gone" sounds reaaaallllyyyy generic? Like really generic? I had to LP didn't already have a song with that name, but of course there is "I'll be gone" - close enough, and not in a good way. I mean, "you don't know what you've got until it's gone" - can that be any more cliched? Don't want to sound negative, the album from what's been revealed sounds like it's going to be incredible but... Meh.

Yeah that's the one! Maybe a personal thing but I've always been amazed the song never made it onto HT

High Voltage live in London (can't remember exact date/venue) is my all time favourite live LP performance, I can just never get enough of it... So many great songs that haven't been played in years! EDIT: I'd also love to see LP cover Wish again.

Yeah, I too waited until hearing a high quality version to give my views... Having listened on YouTube in HD and now Spotify, the song is definitely growing on me. The intro is cool, Rakim's verse is interesting, very unexpected obviously, I thought his vocals could have been a little louder but listening on Spotify in higher quality and it's better - still struggle to hear him at times through the drums/guitars but maybe that's just me. Chester's screaming does seem off at first but maybe that's just the sound they're going for, as many have said he'll be sure to add in a scream here and there live. Overall, nothing original to add but like everyone else I wasn't expecting such a heavy song, I could get used to this. Now the long wait for the album release!
