i dont think they planned to do this till that day. but it wasnt a spur of the moment thing on stage. they gave brad and phoenix the standar eb guitars for the song so it was in the set. very nice surprise for the 10th anniversary. well done. shut everyone up also so they do listen to fans.

on 0:12 you can hear them "soundchecking" the bass guitar. as i heard it first i thought they really will do the extended intro, but then mike continued and then it started^^

Hence the "in relation to Hybrid Theory" specification in my post genius. And we all know all the bitching and today's hurray is over HT songs and not really about how much new songs were added. People don't seem to really care that the set list is new and a heck of a lot more different than previous set list. All they seem to care about is "is Lp going to play more HT?"

For once i stop complaining and just hope i'll get APFMH at the Frankfurt show I love that, i am fucking surprised at the moment.

I don't know what you mean, but seriously Berlin 2008 was the fucking opposite of everything you mentioned above! Maybe the other shows from this year were bad, but this one was fucking brilliant!

you think so? make a comparision with 2003 and 2004 performances just by taking 2 audio recordings, for example tokyo 25.10.2003 and MV 04. i personally think chester sounded a bit weaker in MV 04 . the same happened for Europe Tour 07 to Europe 08 / PR 08 with the step europe tour 2008. best example to me is Lying From You. chester already sounded weaker in his 2 verse lines at the middle of PR 07, and in 2008 it just got very very weak in my eyes. 2009 was not that much better, that's why i am not surprised that it hasn't been played so far this year.

i defo go for 2008. band was not interacting much, perforamnces got imo worse and you could really have had the impression that they were tired in PR 08

and if they broadcast it will not be the complete show. they also broadcasted about 45min of the RATM show which was also surprising to me, so i highly doubt that we will get much footage of LP if we get any

to see newer stuff which is usually slower than old stuff? now thats a question of taste. if you like it, i won't complain. but i personally don't like it

I think LPDC said it best, this is called the 'A Thousand Suns World Tour' for a reason!!! Seriously, how can anyone be mad that they are playing new songs and not a bunch of old songs like fucking With You or Runaway?!? Those songs weren't even played during the entire MTM touring cycle, so obviously they won't be during the ATS touring cycle, at least not so far. Figure.09 and all those songs fall into the same category. I personally love ATS and I think the songs sound way better live so I'm pretty excited to see them performed in January or whenever the US tour is.

so you prefer to have them always the newest stuff played? well then.. have fun with all of it. if a band really cares about everyone and really wants to please ALL types, then they could do one rare song (and now don't tell me papercut is a rarely played song ) but if everyone here just wants new stuff.. have it your way then
