whats funny is I thought the album cover would do this...change color or reveal something at a different angle lol

I saw Joe scratching, awesome. You know this video told me something, LP worked their asses off for this record. The least we can do is to show some gratitude. What I mean is, all the complaining about the Cover Art, if you don't like it is ok. Just don't go insulting it, is not fair to the band. From now on am just gonna take what they have and be happy they are doing all this for us.

one question:

It says the single will be "delievered" and I know they mean there will be an mp3 of the single (and album for that matter) sent out via email, BUT is the single shipped out as a hard copy too?? That was my impression but idk if im wrong or right...

edit: i ordered the cd/dvd set if that makes a difference

I'm pretty sure the special edition is probably going to have a different cover anyway, so that might be of some relief to the many that do not approve of this current cover.

i can genuinely say i like this. alot.

 

like i've said before, people are hating on this because it's crazy different from anything LP has ever done. i have to admit, a lot of linkin park fans really can never be satisfied and just simply do not understand the meaning of change and moving on. if you genuinely don't like it, than you don't like it and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but don't make it sway your opinion on LP as a whole, or of Mike/Joe for this matter.

 

HT and Meteora had a similar kind of feel for artwork (along with music), and i liked the artwork on both of those.

 

then came MTM, which marked the transition point in everything linkin park. the artwork was completely different, much more simplistic, (and in my opinion was the worst they've had), but it was a change, and a respectable one.

 

now, with ATS, it's yet another change. although black and white like MTM, it has a very different vibe to it. much more mysterious and artistic in an abstract sense. i personally like it.

 

but, notice a pattern? majority loved HT and Meteora art because that's the OG linkin park. than majority hated MTM art (and music, for that matter..) because they changed. now, i definitley feel like ATS will bring another MTM effect because people need to get it in their heads that LP will not stop changing. and i, for one, respect it and am loving it.

and you know what, I like it too; that they've changed their stuff. I mean the transition from meteora to M2M was quite a leap but I still enjoyed the music. And now that genre-busting ATS is coming out, it's something new, fresh, and pleasantly different. the art and the music. So I say:

Good for you LP. Do what you love and what you wanna do. Because at the end of the day the only thing that matters is that you are pleased with the music you make and you tried your best.

Take the cover now for a grain of salt, until we have it in our hands we can't judge too far into this imo.

idk i think it's cool but who knows it may not actually be the cover art...looks like an illusion or something. like a dove. or a falling lamp.

its pretty cool...I can't wait to hear the rest of it but i gotta be honest at first i was disappointed. then you keep listening to it and finding new things to appreciate about it and you realize how beautiful everything meshes together.

IMO it sounds like the outro. however i dont like how raw and unfinished it sounds.

ALSO i wonder when LP's main page will finally reveal the image. a couple days maybe?

those of us that bought the game would seriously get the shaft if there isnt like a download or something like everyone is saying. it was supposed to be exclusive and now that theyre making it available to everyone i dont feel very exclusive lol

and as far as the album being like blackbirds even though its an m2m demo, i would still hope it's not entirely like blackbirds. it is very sub-par compared to a lot of their other music. probably why it was a demo, right?...
